This is a strange little place. From the outside it looks like your below-average Indian restaurant. From the inside, it still looks like your below-average Indian restaurant. When you get the first taste of the papadums and raita, it tastes like your below-average restaurant. Then you order food, and you realise that the service is good. The guy is helpful, patient and friendly. All of a sudden you are at an average Indian restaurant. When the food arrives (butter chicken, some kind of lamb, chicken tikka masala and plain nan bread), it reaches a new standard. They provide you with three different sauces, and the food is very tasty. We are now at an above average Indian restaurant. Then the bill arrives, and you pay a little more than you would like at a place which is a bit shabby-tacky (the new shabby-chique), and we arrive back at an average Indian restaurant.
