I think he was implying that we were both intoxicated which was the furthest thing from the truth. We haven't had a drink in weeks. This was so bizarre and this guy with the glasses, short Indian man and I took a picture of him to send to his boss accused us of either being a toxicated or I don't know what the hell he was talking about so we just got up and left. It was the most ridiculous experience I've ever had. Shame on him! I asked if I could speak with his manager and he refused and then I started talking to his other co-workers who seemed concerned about what was going on and I tried to explain to them and he kept yelling at them something like don't listen to him or blah blah blah I don't know but it sure was bizarre. Maybe it was because two guys were eating together I don't know but the whole thing was just so weird and a horrible way to leave Oslo. Go elsewhere!

We stayed in an Airbnb condo in Frogner (west of downtown). It was hard to find open restaurants that we could walk to on Saturday and Sunday nights in July. The local Italian restaurants seemed to be closed for summer break. Village Tandoori was just around the corner from our condo (and open) so we went there on the second night and we were quite happy with the meal. I had the Lahori Lamb. It was hard to choose which of the five or six lamb dishes that were offered. Our server asked me if I liked spicy and when I replied in the affirmative she recommended this dish over the Lamb Tikka. The lamb, marinated in a chili/herb mixture, was tender and interesting. Spicy but not overwhelmingly so (I asked for "medium +" on the restaurant's spiciness scale). Others had excellent dishes as well. The vegetarian had the Saag Paneer, which was done very well. There were leftovers that went home. The other couple had the Coriander Lamb and the Tandoori King Prawns. Both were well received. We also got a serving of Garlic Naan as a side (pretty average). A bottle of the house wine was an excellent value (other wines on the menu are quite pricey!). Service was efficient and unobtrusive. This is a place we'd come back to. The prices are pretty reasonable (for Oslo!) and the food is very good.
