So I had been here one time for dinner before and had a great experience, but decided to check it out about a week ago for happy hour. I really like this spot! The happy hour seating is so cute. They have a few items on the happy hour menu and then they also said we could order off the regular menu . We ended up splitting two pizzas(they are like mini pizzas) so delicious! It came à la cart, had to add noodles... the noodles were $10 for about an ice cream scoop worth and NO SAUSE!!! WHAT?? How are you gonna serve veal parm without noodles??? We had a group of 8 and started with tuna tartare, made with Calabrian chili, white balsamic and a basil aioli. Pastas were a highlight and included squid ink Tagliatelle with crab, hot sausage, tomatoes and basil. Great deals on petite pizzas and apps for Happy Hour. The Spritzes on HH are an excellent deal. Our bartender was knowledgeable and on point. I didn't love the red on HH so I tried a second spritz and it was better than the first. The eggplant tapenade was delicious and the pizza was very good (sugar-sweet drizzle if you're a hummingbird). We had reservations, but it wasn't crowded. We were seated and greeted by the servers (they worked in a pair), and we ordered drinks. I had the Paper Plane cocktail. Not too sweet but very tasty. I had the Braised Meatballs for my appetizer and the Gulf Shrimp Paccheri since I was in the mood for pasta. Both were very nice, but the Paccheri was amazing!! Jumbo shrimp, creamy and flavorful sauce, and the added shredded cheese on top was perfection! For dessert, we tried the Tiramisu. Although a bit different texture-wise from other tiramisus I've tried, it was tasty as well. I'd revisit Tana for sure. read more

We ordered a bunch of different dishes to try out which most were very good and nicely plated. Our service lacked a bit after we got some dishes which we barely saw our waiter for refills and to question about something we were missing. Hence the 4star. We ordered the pasta cart, but did not receive it until we were done with all our other plates, but only because we told the waiter we ordered it. So we continued to go through with the pasta cart to get the experience. It was a nice presentation. However, the pasta just tasted like it just came out of boiling water and was not creamy. I had a fabulous birthday dinner at Tana! My husband made the reservation and I had no idea what to expect, so I was a blank page. Everything was SO delicious! We started with some cocktails (the peach Bellini for me and the Tana old fashioned for hubby) and the appetizer meatballs. The meatballs came with crusty grilled focaccia bread and were just perfect. Next we had the cheese wheel pasta to share and the veal Marsala. The pasta was the best cheese wheel pasta I've had. Fresh pasta swirled in a wheel of incredible grana padano cheese. So good!! The veal Marsala was rich and earthy, with a clear taste of the Marsala. Really, really good. The service was friendly and polite and they did a great job making sure we had a special evening. Ambiance is modern and bright while being comfortable and feeling special. Note: They can only do the cheese wheel pasta table side if you are seated in the front room. If you are seated in the back room and want to see it done, you have to walk to where the cheese wheel is. It's not a big deal and the chef on the cheese wheel gives a nice play-by-play of the process. However, if you do want it table side, be sure to ask for a table in the front room. read more

While it is a fancier restaurant, you don't have to wear exceptionally dressy attire, which is nice. They do offer valet parking, which is a nice convenience. Their wine selection is great, the digital menus are a interesting and unique touch, and the food will leave you dreaming about it the next day. All of the ingredients, including pasta and sauces, our fresh and amazingly flavorful. The menu is great because it includes both classical and more modern dishes, which are also changed on a regular basis so if you visit often, you'll have the opportunity to try something new. Presentations of all menu items we tried was very lacking - very rich sauces smothering all pasta so that you couldn't decipher what was the key ingredient : the tuna tartar was every vinegary; in the Oyster Bordelaise the poor oysters were not crispy but drowning in sauce and in the Shrimp Paccheri the dish was again overpowered by the sauce. and for the Caccio e Pepe, it was tasty but the accompanying chicken a bit dry. We experienced Tana for dinner last night and it was excellent, especially considering it's only been open for 2 weeks. The restaurant is gorgeous with a modern and elegant ambiance. We waited just a few minutes for our 7:15 reservation and were offered to wait in the cocktail lounge. The server there was so nice and I almost wish we would have stayed there for dinner. There is a full bar with specialty cocktails. The wine list is limited but there were reasonable choices. I hope they add some by the glass wines in the future. The wine is highly marked up so I recommend bringing your own bottle and pay the corkage fee. We sat at a table in the back section and it was fairly loud. I did overhear that they are getting sound dampening boards soon. The service was OK but not great (like it was in the cocktail lounge). We definitely had appropriate expectations given that it is very new so we weren't upset at all. I'm sure they will work out the service kinks with time. The food was OUTSTANDING! We started with the Italian and Cesaer salad. Both were delicious. The pork chop parm and radiatore pasta were delicious. The NY strip was good but I would recommend trying the pastas first.
