Absolutely wonderful customer service! I came in on my lunch break and Brittany (sorry if I spelled her name wrong!) was so accommodating and wonderful. She set me up with a membership and was sure to walk me through all of the necessary forms and EXPLAINED the contract to me, which is very rare for a tanning salon. Bummer--I so wanted to like my first experience here but it was terrible. I purchased a 2 for 1 mystic tan. I asked the front desk woman for details about how to move in the booth, and she said it would be self explanatory, that I would hear clear instructions inside. I applied the cream on my hands and feet as she instructed. Got in the spray booth and started the spray tan and couldn't HEAR ANYTHING over the sound of the fan!!! I had no idea which way to turn at all, and I didn't open the door mid spray bc the sign said I would flood the room if I opened it mid-use. I told the front desk person about my experience and she said "the owners are aware of the problem with the sound." My spray tan was HORRIBLE--streaky and my bottoms of my feet were stained dark brown. I have another pre-paid tan that I will certainly never redeem. read more

I've been tanning for years and this has been the best location. The beds are great, the mystic is top notch and the staff is good - especially the manager, Brittany. Love her. She is on the ball. I just had an amazing experience here! After the Palms in south lands sketchily closed and screwed everyone over I was desperate for an amazing tanning salon - Tan Your Hide is wonderful! I'm sad I haven't been going here all along! The salon is clean and beautiful with amazing beds and lotions. The manager, Brittany was so lovely and helpful and even threw in a session in a level 4 bed for free because of the shamery at The Palms! After trying for 4-5 days I finally got to use my Groupon! Their internet was down and the young girl who worked there was so sweet anyways to show me the full place and tell me about all their prices. After my one month unlimited basic level one tans is done I feel pretty good about buying one of their monthly tanning packages. Seemed pretty clean and I like that they do not have to wear uniforms. Gives s more laid back feel. It's been a few months since I started and only thing I can say bad about the place is that...1. If you are bringing your child to work with you than keep him under control. Yesterday he was yelling at a customer and today he followed me to bathroom and I had to ask him to leave so I could go potty lol also be an x manager at a tanning salon I do feel cleaning needs to be done a little better in the tanning rooms but all in all its ok and for what I pay I'm happy. My girlfriend is new to this location and has been there few times. She is always very happy with their service. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They take the time to make sure she has everything she needs. They are also very knowledgeable and will explain the different products and how to use them. I've tried several different places for spray tans and Tan Your Hide is definitely the best. They use the best machines and the color lasts for about a week, if not longer. I'm pretty pale and it always comes out natural. I've gotten a few spray tans at other places where you can see the color going down the drain the next day when you take a shower - but never here! I will continue to come here, especially when they run the Groupon! read more

Owners place little value on loyal customers. I was had a membership for a year. When my renewal came up I hesitated to renew as I knew I would be moving within 4-8 months. Upon raising my concerns I was assured by the employee behind the counter that I could cancel at anytime. Thus I renewed. When I called to cancel upon determining my move out of state date I was told I couldn't get out of my contract. I called the owners ( who incidentally had interviewed me for a part time job there and offered it to me) and I was told I owed the rest of contract. They would not allow for the possibility that their revolving door of front desk employees may have given out wrong info and graciously let a consistent and loyal customer out of contract. Instead they reported me to collections and crushed my credit rating. As a single mother I don't have money to pay for a service I can't access or use and was told I could cancel. Shameful of them Well everyone view their response below... ...not we're sorry we'll fix it. They acknowledge what a good client I'd been and long time client. They then basically say too bad lady you should have read the contract. I indeed did contact the owners regarding what I was told by the counter person. They aren't about to let me out of the contact now or remove from my credit! Aces! They double down on being jerks to good clients! By the way I'm a paralegal. I went in last week for the first time and was thoroughly impressed. I went in for a mystic spray tan, which I had never gotten before, and the receptionist was very knowledgeable and friendly. Clean atmosphere... High quality beds, especially the Level 4 bed, and information. One of the best interactions has been talking to the Manager, Brittany, she answers questions, ensured I felt appreciated for renewing my contract and takes her business seriously with a smile. I recommend this as a location to not only visit, but join, you will not be disappointed. They offer monthly incentives and quality tanning products. Tan Your Hide is a good place to tan! I've tanned at At the Beach and Darque tan before. Generally I only go prior to vacation to get a base. Tyh was WAY better than the others. My tan is deeper and darker than ever. What's more, their customer service was great! We had some issues with missing days when the store was closed for various reasons and instead of telling us to just deal with it or punting to corporate the assistant manager, Hollian was great and worked it out for us! We let the manager, Brittany, know that she was helpful. We were out of tanning with a week left before vacation and Brittany helped us figure out the most cost effective way to make that work! I purchased a buy one get one free of their spray tans and have never been more disappointed! The first time I went I felt like the tan wasn't even noticeable especially since I went with "dark". Since I had the other tan for free I decided to go back thinking maybe it was a mishap with the machine. Again, I chose "dark" and came out just as pale as I went in. Yes, I waited the 6-8 hours to shower and everything! I've used the same machine at other tanning salons in the area and have been very happy! I will never pay that kind of money for such poor results again! read more

I recently had a large chunk of skin surgically removed from my torso, because it was severely pre-cancerous. It was an emergency procedure that I had to get done the same day we discovered it, that's how bad it was. It was very traumatic. I went to the Aurora/Cornerstar location of Tan Your Hide and spoke to Lisa. After explaining everything, she informed me that I need not worry, and that she would make sure my membership was cancelled and that I would not even be charged a cancellation fee due to the medical nature of the issue. Lo and behold, I was still charged my $64.90 fee the following month for my membership. I spoke to Lisa again, and she said that she had "told me that I needed to get a doctor's note and send it to corporate" at their company email address. Even though she had not told me any of this previously, I went ahead and sent a copy of my medical claim to corporate and explained the situation. After many back an forth correspondences, they are still refusing to cancel my membership. This was very traumatic for me, having this surgery done, and I want nothing to do with tanning salons at this point. I cannot believe that a medical issue like this is not enough of a reason for them to cancel a membership. Especially given the fact that one of their own employees told me that they would cancel it. The lack of customer service and consideration here is unbelievable. read more

I just left the Cornerstar location and all I can say is WOW! Thank you, thank you, thank you Lisa! That was one of the best customer service experiences I've had in my entire life in any industry. I've been an off and on tanner for 8 years or so and worked at a tanning salon for a short period of time in college. I'm so used to being pushed to buy the most expensive package or sign up for an extravagant long term contract. Lisa listened to the fact I was coming in before a girls trip and gave me her advice on what would give me the best results in the time frame I had. She didn't try to push me into anything else just help me with exactly what I came in for all while making sure I was set up with lotion and everything I needed to have an exceptional experience and get the results I was looking for. She got me signed in quickly and gave great friendly advice and instructions on how the bed worked and even gave me a quick tip on how to avoid those pesky under booty lines that I had never heard/thought of even after working in a salon! I love this tanning salon! It's farther away from my home than other salons but it is so much more pleasant to visit. I like that they don't have a pushy sales approach that another tanning chain has adopted. It's always clean and the employees are always friendly. They only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they are closed on Sundays which is a little frustrating for me. read more

I went to this location for a spray tan for my prom. I had an appointment scheduled at 3:00 because I had work at 4:00. The tech was 15 minutes late and I didn't get in to the room until 3:30. The tech started to spray, and then decided to change bronzers in the middle, and had to redo everything. Due to the changing of bronzers and the going over twice, it took a while to dry and I was super late to work. When I looked at my tan, it was streaky and patchy and very very very uneven. I would not recommend a spray tan from this place. read more

There have only been a couple times when my experience with front desk staff at tanning salons has been pleasant.. "tan your hide" has been the best experience by far. The girls here are so friendly and professional and answer any questions you may have. The beds are EXTREMELY nice (even the lower levels which I have found to be rare) the floors and beds were very clean and the rooms are quite spacious. Let me start by saying the beds here are excellent! HOWEVER the cleanliness and the most of the staff are not! The entire place has white tile throughout and there are stray hairs and dust bunnies in all of the rooms. My issue with Tan your Hide began with a $29 Groupon for a month of tanning. I had bought 2 prior and there were no issues. The 3rd one I bought was not allowed to be used since (admittedly) I exceeded the limit. This was fine, I just wanted a refund. None of the staff there are authorized to give refunds. I had to wait for the manager (Maddie) to call me or I could email "Corporate" (You can't call and actually speak with anyone there, you can only email them!) Maddie called back and left a message advising I couldn't use the Groupon but I could apply the $29 toward a package. Personally, I didn't care to do business there anymore, so again, I just wanted a refund. I did email Corporate and the next day I received another voicemail from Maddie saying I could use the Groupon, "just this once". But here's the kicker, right after she said "Thank You" and was hanging up, she added "SLUT!" Then hung up. I'm honestly not really sure why she felt the need to be so unprofessional or take it so personally, when all I wanted to do was tan there using my Groupon or simply get a refund. The people at "Corporate" are just as unprofessional since I emailed them twice more asking that they call me and they never did. I thought they would be interested in hearing about (or actually listening to) the message that was left for me. So...if you want great color and great beds, by all means, Tan Your Hide is the place for you. But, if you want dirty floors and unprofessional treatment from a manager (and a mystical place called "Corporate") this is not the right place for you. There are way too many tanning salons around that do appreciate your business, treat you with respect and most of all would NEVER call you a derogatory name over a $29 Groupon. In fact, right now, there are about 4 in the Centennial area that have Groupon or Living Social Deals going on. (Several of which have 4-5 star ratings here on Yelp) read more
