This was my first experience every using any type of spray tan. I used to only use tanning beds, but due to the dangers of skin cancer, I haven't used a tanning bed and having an office job I really haven't been in the sun for around two years. Point being, I went in pale, very pale!! I looked into the franchised booth locations and thought it sounded like a good idea. However, thank goodness, I came across this location and read it's reviews. I felt a little nervous about getting undressed in front of a stranger to have this done, but decided to give it a shot. Hannah was AMAZING! She made me feel very comfortable, completely clean, professional setting, and she walked me through all the steps. My tan is unbelievable! When I used tanning beds, it'd take several visits to get this natural dark color. This was done in literally 15 minutes for the entire process. And the color is perfect! I will never go anywhere else. I went on the $20 Tuesday since I was unsure about it. Next time I will probably try the "Venetian" blend. But the natural is perfect too. No complaints. Being a bigger girl I was very worried about getting a spray tan done by someone, but for my first time out I wanted a good experience, which I got. Abbey was very professional and made me feel comfortable about the entire situation. I did my homework prior to getting the spray tan so I didn't have very many questions. I chose the clear solution, which smelled very good. I have a decent tan, but part of me wishes I would have gotten the original with the bronzer. However, I feel like I made the right choice for my first go. It looks very natural, and not so dark which I can appreciate. Next time, I will go crazy and try the original solution when I'm not in a wedding. The clear solution, took a very very long time to develop. Abbey advised it would take about 5 hours, I fell asleep at the 6 hour mark and woke up looking like I just spent the day at the beach, what a great way to start your day! I did a trial here in February 2017. It looked great and lasted about a week. Unfortunately, I got another spray tan here in April 2017 a few days before my wedding. I followed all the directions for both before and after getting my tan. Unfortunately, almost 100% of the tan washed off with my first shower. My wedding was out of town so I could not go back to the studio. I contacted the salon and sent pictures to show that the tan washed off almost immediately. They recommended a place near my wedding, but due to it being the day before my wedding, I had no time to go. While I appreciated the effort, I am disappointed that I paid $60 and got nothing. I was pale the day I got married and those pictures last forever. I inquired about a refund but was never granted one. While the staff was nice, there was no accountability even after they admitted that my tan should have lasted longer. Poor customer service in my opinion. The last time I got a spray tan was in high school, using a machine that sprayed you in 4 different positions. I always felt disgusting after using the machine, and it was NEVER even. So when I decided I wanted a spray tan, I was very hesitant. BUT then I found studio 13 through word of mouth. Making an appointment was super easy, I called and got in that same day. Kayla, the technician, was extremely nice, explained everything in detail, and was very helpful! My tan looked amazing and it lasted for about a week, which was the longest spray tan I've had. I got many compliments and felt amazing! I ended up going back a few weeks later and getting a membership and have been multiple times since then! I googled "best spray tan in Columbus" and found Studio 13 spray tanning for a Memorial Day Weekend wedding I recently attended. I was THRILLED with the results (I got the Venetian solution)- the tan was so natural looking and beautiful. My mom even asked me a couple of days later if we had spent the weekend by the pool because of how tan I was! It just made me feel great, and helped cover up some stretch marks from my babies. I loved it so much I signed up for the unlimited monthly membership. Well worth the price. My second spray tan was a little lighter but much more realistic for work and real-life (not special events). I just can't say how happy I am! read more

Got my first ever spray tan today. I knew I should have written down the name of the girl who did it. She was great. I wanna say it was Kayly but I'm not quite sure that is right. But she made me feel very comfortable and did a great job. I would definitely go back when I have another event and need a quick tan. I have been trying to be good to my skin and stay out of the sun and just deal w always being white. But I'm so glad I tried this. I think I've found a new way to get some color back when needed. I live out of state but come to Columbus periodically. About 18 months ago I got a spray tan here on a flier and was really impressed! She is very professional and thorough in her application and the results were lovely. I then went back home and tried to duplicate the experience. Oh my! I was dismayed! My face was over sprayed so dark I hated to go out in public and the palms of my hands were orange. Horrible! This past Wednesday I came back to town and went to Abbey. Studio 13 is the best place in town to get a spray tan. I absolutely love the $20 Tuesday deal. I had never been airbrushed by a person, just a booth... It makes a huge difference! I went the first time to "try out" the tan and I got so many compliments that I've been 3 times in just 2 months. My tan lasts at least a week as long as I follow the instructions for maintaining. I love the way my tan makes me feel and it's perfect for a big event, or just for fun. The staff is super friendly and professional. They're also very responsive to email and phone inquires. I just tried out Studio 13 in anticipation of an upcoming trip to the beach, and as someone who is pretty pale and doesn't capture that much sun (unless it's in the form of sunburn), this spray tan prepared me to look naturally tan by the time I arrived on the sand. It's easy to maintain, and for those who noticed, they mentioned the natural look of it as well. Perhaps a plus is that some people didn't notice I got a spray tan at all, which means they just assumed it was real. Great service! I've only been a few times, usually when there are special deals, but each time has been quick & easy. I love doing "personal" tans instead of just hopping in an automated booth at other places because I worry about spots being missed. I've had 3 different people spray me and each of them has done a great job & made me feel comfortable getting down to my birthday suit in front of a stranger. I have received the Norvell venetian & rapid. The girls at Studio 13 provide a great natural looking tan. I had the clear solution my first time, which was a nice color, but a very light tan. I had some concerns and Abby talked with me and suggested that I come back and try the Venetian. It is a great color, darker than the clear solution but not too dark. My knees and elbows were a bit too dark but I am hoping to fix that with more exfoliation next time. The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because both times the same spot on the back of my arm was missed. This place is simply AMAZING! I was really nervous my first time because every tan I have had before always turned me orange, was super streaky and would rub off on my clothes, sheets, and towels. However my tan at studio13 turned out perfect! It looks very natural AND doesn't rub off on things like my previous tans would when going elsewhere!! I love that the tan is airbrushed by hand because they get every area that is missed in a booth sray. I felt very comfortable when being sprayed and that is huge for me. Having had skin cancer in the past, I avoid the sun all year round-- which usually means looking like Casper next to my sun tanned friends. I've tried every kind of sunless tan out there (usually disappointing results), so I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this spot out! I tried the clear tan first since i had plans later that day, and it gave a nice light color tan that didn't come off on my clothes. It lasted longer than I would expect too, considering the products I use on my skin. I did the Venetian tan today, and I already love the natural looking color. Abbey is awesome read more

She is very professional, friendly and knowledgeable about her service and the products used. I am currently a day in (writing this review) and my tan has set, I've showered and it looks very even. Best spray tan I've ever had! I was at a wedding the other weekend and everyone could not believe it wasn't a sunkissed tan! I was a Mystic Tan sprayer before but I will never go back. These spray tans are way more natural, look incredible, and last way longer. I've gone to Studio 13 a lot this summer and I've been beyond impressed with each one. Also for anyone who might be nervous about a person spraying you- do not fret, they're super nice, you'll feel really comfortable and you can wear whatever (or what little) amount of undergarments you want. read more

I called to get information before I made the appointment and Abby called back right away ad answered all my questions and got me in the very same day! My technician, Nikki, was equally professional and helpful and I chose the express Venetian and left with an even, "glowing" tan which only improved for the next day or two. . . and had marvelous color for about 3 days. Will be going back here for all future spray tans. I wasn't sure about how dark to go and Abbey was helpful in helping me pick the right shade. She gave me tips for helping the spray tan last longer too. I am fair skinned and did not want to look overly tan or streaky for my event. It has been 5 days and the color has stayed evenly and it was just the right amount/color. Like I said, I will be going back, best spray tan in Columbus. This was my first spray tan and I couldn't be happier with the result! Abbey made the process really comfortable and answered all of my questions. I got my spray tan in the afternoon and was nervous about sweating at a cycling class the next morning, but it stayed on and didn't streak or stain my workout clothes when I sweat. BEST TANS!!! I've gone to sooo many places and can honestly say that this is the best spray tanning studio in Columbus for a variety of reasons. 1) the color always comes out perfectly, never splotchy or orange. 2) the staff are so professional and make you feel completely comfortable 3) the tans last a full week every time! 4) they offer a rapid tan so you only have to sit in the spray for 1-3 hours and it still looks great 5) they smell amazing (super rare) Highly recommend the prep mitt as well!! read more
