If I could leave zero stars, I would!! I had an extremely disappointing experience with customer service and leadership at Palm Beach Tan, specifically at the Reynoldsburg location. Two employee I initially spoke with were kind, professional, and the Second gentleman was genuinely apologetic. He assured me that the manager, Meghan, would be reaching out and would make things right. Unfortunately, that could not have been further from the truth. After requesting a callback, I received no response. It took two days of repeated calls before I was finally able to speak with Meghan. From the start, her approach was dismissive and unprofessional. Rather than addressing the issue or taking accountability, she deflected responsibility by referencing what her manager, Hanna, allegedly said--while completely disregarding the fact that I had been given conflicting and inaccurate information by multiple employees. Meghan's business card identifies her as a General Manager, but based on this interaction, her level of customer service, communication, and problem-solving did not reflect the expectations of that role. When I made a simple request asking her to have her manage, Hanna, contact me directly, it was treated as though it were unreasonable--which is unacceptable. She said she'll be in at some point this week. Um, no ma'am, you just supposedly called her to talk to her about this issue so why can't you call her back immediately and let her know I'm asking to talk to her? At no point did I feel heard, valued, or respected as a customer. Effective leadership requires accountability, follow-through, and professionalism--none of which were demonstrated in this situation. First time going to tan pro off Bethel and the front desk gal was super nice and helpful. I had started my account at a different location and the girl today was able to get me set up with a login number on the key pad. The tanning bed clean and had hooks for my clothes and bag. Previous tanning places I've been too only had a chair for my things. I would go back and tan there again. read more

I've been going to PBT weekly for over 4 years. Today for the first time my regular Reed Rd store told me I could not use my own lotion. The SAME lotion I've used for over 4 years! Very poorly run store. I will not bow down to your high pressure sales tactics! Stay away from this one on Reed Rd at all costs. read more

This place/workers are literally a joke. They won't respond to any of my complaints about being billed. I canceled my account on April 18 2022 and they have been billing me since this day. In my statement there name changed which is odd to me but still haven't got a response so that is why I didn't see it being charged. But rest assured I was able to get January February and March back. None of the other months when I went in there to cancel again I go in and get the customer service number no one answers for a week had to go online and find another number. Worst part is when I physically went in cancelled and signed the paper. I go to walk out and the girl barely stops be and say wait that didn't work could you sign again. So I'd image that happened the first time because in April last year I cancelled my account knowing I would not be needing it. read more

Management is awful and she has no information on which beds have newer bulbs or which bulbs were changed last. She is young and definitely needs some more custumer service classes. Bulbs in these #2 beds are weak​. Waste of time and money. So disappointed!!! read more

I wondered about the bad reviews, but came in anyway. I didn't get the sales pitch- maybe she was busy, maybe they give up after you say no a few times. That is one of my complaints about Palm Beach, along with the pricing plans that just don't work for an occasional tanner like me. Still, I had a good experience here. The interior is bright, there are plenty of pretty new beds, I was in and out quickly. This one is out of my way and I kind of stumbled on it, so I might not be back often. But if it were nearby I would definitely use it. If they give you a hard sell, just politely decline. Interrupt if you have to. They should get the message. read more

I'm relatively fair skinned and the staff here have helped me gradually gain color without frying! They're also always willing to answer questions and suggest products that are helpful. Also - it's very clean which is huge in my book! read more

I got a spray tan here yesterday for prom tomorrow and i had such high hopes because i've heard great things.... well my tan looks absolutely horrific. it is so dark in the most random sports like my calves and back of my arms. not to mention the front of my arms don't like like they even got touched with the bronzer. like they are literally the same color i was before. i definitely cried about it because prom is tomorrow and i have no idea what to do. i'll probably just try to scrub it off and put on some tanning mousse because it is that bad. i wasted $50 on this too because i bought all the extra stuff they spray on you to prevent an outcome like this please don't waste your money here and go to someone who will physically spray tan you themselves because the machines just do not perform. read more

The employees are kind - but their performance is hampered by inefficient management. I have watched on many occasions, in particular this location - poor staffing allocation. One person expected to clean many beds, while a rush of customers comes in and burdens the employee. Managers should take better care of their employees - as they don't make much money as it is - because it is certainly hurting their customer base. I've watched customers leave, due to long waits for beds. Fix the staffing issue and stop causing undue burden on your employees. That may be the reason they are leaving along with customers. read more

I'm giving this one star because I literally dread going here. I've gone twice and I just don't think it's worth going again. Each time I get a girl giving me a sales pitch SO pushy I want to walk out. All the other locations are not like this one. Take a temperature read and listen when the customer in front of you tells you they're okay, or in a rush, or just not interested. It's so aggressive! I wanted to tan for the full time but since she bypassed me telling her I was in a rush to give me a 10 minute sales pitch I could only go half the time. And I felt so bad for the people in line behind me! Lesson learned, chose another location. read more

I've always had wonderful service. Yes they do try to sell you product which I've never purchased. But it's probably in their training. All of the staff have been extremely kind and informative. I've proudly recommended it to many of my friends. read more

This location is always.... out of product!!! I went in before vacation and they were out of medium product for the Mystic.... and when I got back a week later...they were out of all the cartridges!!! Seriously... look around for a tanning salon that knows how to run a business! read more

Don't go there! It's a total scam. I got a coupon sent to me so I decided to check it out. For 20 minutes Lindsey went on and on about how I should buy a package literally not letting me use my coupon. I then let her talk me into the $15 a month because she mad a comment that it was seriously not that much. After I said okay she told me u would be orange and I should really think about bed tanning as well. And tried to convince me into spending more money. I have had horrible experiences with palm beach tan since I signed up 3/26. I had a coupon for a free month, which actually is not a free month it's like 29.99 off your package. I signed up for the highest package (at least it was supposed to be, the Diamond package) paid 64$ and was told I would basically get the second month free that I would only pay 25$ on 4/25 and not pay the full month which is 99$ until 6/25. About 3 weeks into tanning, as I was leaving one night I was told I had a free spray tan that was about to expire. (By this time I had already spent like at least 500$ in tanning lotion which they get commission on so I'ma good customer.) So I came back the next day to use it and was told it's not actually free. Basically the only thing that was free was the air, that you had to buy everything that went with it (the color, intensifier, toners) fine whatever so I pay and it' comes to 25$, but she told me the color was 5$ the toners (I got 2 were like 3$ each and screen was 1$) also that night they denied my sister her free spray tan cause they were closing. (We got there at 640) so she got done tanning before me I had 8 min left and even tho I had the keys to the car and it was raining that she had to stand outside and wait on me and was very rude to her. She called to talk to the manager the next day and explain what happened to her and me. Her name is Sam. She was very rude. So we then tell the manager at Bethel rd just about our experiences with the sawmill store. She offered us both another spray tan for the inconvenience (again, we didn't ask her to she just offered). I went in bethel to get my free spray tan a couple days later and there was a new manager who didn't want to honor it and called the old manager who told her to. It was supposed to be the same one I got the first time which is supposed to be the darkest you can get. So then on 5/3 I was charged 123$ And I went in on 5/4 to see why when I was only supposed to be charged 25$. The manager Sam shouldn't even be a manager she couldn't even explain the billing process.... the district supervisor who happened to be there was rude to and the only thing she could say was that she's sorry the girl that told you this doesn't work here no more. Like no, that's not acceptable. I asked for corporates number and walked out. So the next day (which was yesterday I'm tanning at bethel and telling the girl what happened and telling her I wanted spray tans to begin with and was going to upgrade to that level (because come to find out I didn't have it, I was at the 89$ level which is even worse it's 89$ a month but I'm being charged 123$ a month??? ‍) so I was going to upgrade which my sister had just upgraded 5/4 from the 49$ level to the 99$ level which is from 5/4 to 5/25 and she only had to pay 24$ to upgrade, I was already at the 89 just trying to upgrade to 99 and was told I had to pay 22$ like make it make sense!!!!! So the girl at bethel last night told me I would be upgraded to the 99$ level for 30 days and you just wait until billing was done again and upgrade then.... so because we tanned at 736 last night, you have to wait 24 hours and they close at 7 today I went back to get a spray tan done today. As we're discussing the colors because my sister went before me and got "the darkest" you can get (which is what I was supposed to get the first time, the second time was supposed to be the same) and my sister only had to pay 16$ for her colors where I paid 25 the manager said that I was not upgraded but that she would honor it that the girl was supposed to get permission I guess to do the upgrade for me and didn't. Then tells me that this winch district supervisor put in my account not to honor any more free spray tans for me.... I never asked for any free spray tans EVER. I was told I had a free one then I was offered and free one, and then I went to upgrade and was told I would be upgraded for 30 days. I never asked for any of this.... but because I went in questioning my bill and what I was told when I signed up she put this note in my file? read more

Amazing experience. I haven't been to a tanning salon in 10 years so I was a little nervous to burn. The GM Mariah took time to tell me about each bed & gave me her best recommendation. The facility was friendly, clean & I got decent color from my first visit in the stand up bed. I highly recommend this location. read more
