Every time I visit Cabramatta (I live in the States), I have to visit this place. During my last trip, I went here twice in a span of a couple of days. Honestly I have only ordered one item on the menu, I don't pay attention to the other dishes since I am in love with just one. I order the crispy chicken with egg noodles dry (broth on the side). I have had both the dry and wet option and just as a personal preference I like the dry option more. The chicken has the crispiest skin I have ever tasted. Even though the skin is super crispy, the chicken meat is tender and not dry at all. They give you a decent amount of chicken so you'll have plenty to enjoy as you eat it with your egg noodles. The egg noodles are just as good, not too soggy and cooked to perfection. They add a sauce to the noodles so it has additional flavor, so make sure you toss your noodles in the bowl before eating. I cannot recommend this place and this dish enough. I'm already planning on heading back during my next visit. Side note: There is only one woman and one man restroom. So be prepared to wait in line.

Food is amazing, the drink is amazing and service is fast. I will mostly visit this place when I am in cabramatta and I am having a chicken craving. Their top seller is crispy chicken noodle soup, you can also have it dry as well. There is always a line here.

After reading all the reviews about this place - it was a MUST VISIT on my first time to Cabramatta! After eating at this very busy restaurant - it won't be my last visit either. The signature dish is the crispy chicken served with wet or dry egg noodles. ($13) I have to agree that the crispy skin chicken is the best I have ever tasted. Perfectly cooked crisp, thin chicken skin not coated in oil with perfectly cooked soft and tender chicken meat. Add lemon juice and you are in culinary heaven. It comes with a serving of bean sprouts and Vietnamese dipping sauce. I want to try it again next time - but with the tomato rice accompaniment.

If you ever visit Cabramatta in Sydney Australia , you must definitely give Noodle House a visit! Nothing beats noodle house's crispy skin chicken with dry egg noodles if you don't like it with dry noodles you can also add soup but if you don't like noodles, you can have it with white rice or red tomato rice . ITS A MUST!!!!!

I came here for one dish and pretty much everyone else in the restaurant was eating the same thing. It's either crispy chicken with noodles or with rice. You can have your noodles dry (a small bowl of soup on the side) or wet (noodle soup). As much as i love good old fashioned ketchup rice, i love dry thing egg noodles even more! We had a plate of stir fried bean sprouts to top it off with too. MSG or not, it's delicious and worth the line. Plus it moves quick!

was recommended to try this this place before heading back down south... the crispy chicken egg noodles and the spicy beef soup with bread were the mandatory! I have to say I really loved the crispy skin chicken. Skin was thin and crisp without any oil dripping. Yet the chicken meat remained soft and tender! awesome! the spicy beef .... hmmmm it's better at Hoa Tran in melbourne.

I came here based on a recommendation from my cousin that lives in Sydney, she recommended the crispy chicken noodle soup. I'm not from here but that's what they are known for. This is the best noodle restaurant in Sydney. ..

There are two Battambang Cambodian Restaurants: Battambang Cambodian Restaurant I (on Cabramatta…read moreRoad), & Battambang Cambodian Restaurant II (on John Street). Both Battambang Restaurants are located in the small, ethnically diverse city of Cabramatta, a suburb of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia. Cabramatta is essentially a Southeast Asian leaning Village, with it's main street (John Street) lined with Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Cambodian shop, restaurants, and small family run eateries. The area is honest and authentic, and if it were not for the many signs with English translations a visitor might think they were walking down a village street in Vietnam. Eating in this dynamic Australian suburb is a real experience. I ate at Battambang Cambodian Restaurant many years ago, but I will never forget the experience. And although the place may have been given a facelift since then, luckily there is a lot of info & photos available on the web to refresh my dusty memory. Battambang Cambodian Restaurant is clearly bigger these days, but it still has the same feel, like a former hole-in-the-wall joint, now extra successful, that offers an authentic Southeast Asian experience. It's like a Cambodian restaurant-diner where celebrities can come as well as the local taxicab drivers, all for a Homecooked Cambodian breakfast or lunch. Battambang Restaurant is super clean (unlike some hole-in-the-wall places I ate at while working on a movie in Cambodia years ago). Also, the all-Cambodian staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Our wonderful server (probably the owner's niece) seemed genuinely happy and eager to explain every dish with pride (even though the menu had great color pictures), as well as make recommendations to us, most of which we ordered. At the time I was in Australia working as the writer & field producer for an 'Adventure-Travel & Nature Show' for Discovery Channel, so our group was pretty large. This was great, because we ordered a lot of different dishes to try and share, including some strange ones that we would not have gotten if there were only 2 of us. There were some traditional Chinese dishes on the menu, I am assuming for the customers who were a bit trepidatious about filling their table with unfamiliar Cambodian fare alone. But for the most part, we stuck to the Cambodian dishes, just for the adventure elements. Afterall, we WERE in Australia to make an Adventure-Travel Show. Looking back, I wish that we had a couple of our cameras to record the meal. But the format of our show didn't contain a restaurant-food element (we mostly focused on Fishing, SCUBA, and Extreme Water related Sports), so the video would have just been B-Roll for the Crew. Besides, this was our day off and somehow it felt wrong to work. Now, back to the food: Battambang Cambodian Restaurant is a breakfast & lunch place, closing at 5:30 PM. But Cambodian's aren't really "Bacon & Eggs" people, so most of the breakfast items were similar to lunch. And many of the dishes were just big bowls of piping hot noodle (similar to Pho). My favorite Cambodian Noodle Soup is translated as "Boat Noodles" because when shopping at the Cambodian jungle's many river-markets, small boats will come by with usually an old woman making this soup on a portable propane stove, which she sold to people other boats for pennies a bowl. The ones I've tried mostly have a rich and brown broth with long chewy rice-noodles and lots of meat and fresh herbs. But I think that many Cambodian Noodle Soups are considered "Boat Noodles", because nearly every Cambodian dish I've tried has been a big bowl of noodles with soup & meat, plus various toppings. My favorite dishes at Battambang were the Egg Noodles with I think Duck, the Clear Soup with chunks of boiled Pork, the Fermented Fish in Coconut Milk Curry with Noodles, the Phenom Penh dry Garlic-Oil Noodles with Pork-Kidneys (a breakfast dish), the Crispy Whole Fried Chicken soaked in a tasty Brown Sauce: Delicious. Unusual and unexpected dishes that I liked were the Sour Banana-Flower Soup with Flat Noodles, and the Crispy Deep-Fried Beef Intestine-rings with Chili-Fish Sauce. For drinks most of us had some form of sweetened Milk-Tea, Mixed Fruit Juices, or Shved-Ice Drinks. But drinks were too difficult to share so I only tasted a few. The thing that impresses me most about Cambodian food is it's creation of fermented & spicey dishes that are topped with nearly endless fresh raw vegetables & piles of herbs. I also got addicted to Banana Blossoms, which taste like a garden and have a texture of artichoke heart & chicken thigh. Overall Battambang offers a delicious cuisine with a diversity of flavors and textures, even though it is almost all soups, noodles & raw vegetables. Yum!

We had to park pretty far and walked to this location. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes if you decide to come here. I came here for lunch and it was pretty packed. Spaces between each table were very small, be careful not to knock someone over or bump into someone eating their Pho. I ordered a small bowl of beef combination (AUD$10.50), which was more than enough for me, and a fresh orange juice (AUD$3.50). Everything came out pretty quick. The broth lacked flavor where I had to add hoisin sauce and sriracha. In addition, noodles were a bit soggy. I've had better Pho.

It was not that crowded as we got there before 12pm and about 1/3 of the place was occupied. I heard the line can be very long during the peak lunch/dinner hours as it is very popular. The menu is quite unlike other Vietnamese restaurants I have been to. The focus is more on chicken - fried crispy and even Hainan style. Coming from Singapore where Hainanese chicken rice is like one of the national dishes, that caught me by surprise. And no, I did not order it. For the crispy fried chicken, you can choose which carb to be served with - egg noodles, drop noodles (no idea what that is), rice noodles, tomato rice or just on its own. I had the egg noodles as recommended by my friend but I took it dry. So I got to season it with chili and other stuff. It was fine on its own too. The chicken reminded me of the Malay style fried chicken which was then chopped evenly into slices for easy eating. It was not very oily and the meat was juicy, skin was crispy. It was really very good. You really could not go wrong with a nicely fried crispy chicken. My friend told me the tomato rice was also a good choice to go with the chicken.
