It's the quintessential locals pizzeria, the guys here are local born and bred and every time I walk in here I feel warm and fuzzy. Simplicity is key here, the pastas have that home-grown organic feel and taste and the pizzas aren't completely drowned in toppings but compensate with amazing flavour, fresh and superior produce. They do daily in house specials so if you're wanting something specific check what's on the day you visit otherwise pop in and be surprised... You won't be disappointed I promise! My favourite is the Incazzato pizza but I am a chilli fiend, the Salsiccia is also amazing and I've had many time the special pizza and I've yet to leave disappointed. Not only do these guys do great simple food but they're all about the customer service experience, many times I've had appetisers on the house if I've had to wait or simply because they wanted me to try it. Modernism and minimalism amongst traditionalism…read more The Usual Cafe is a welcomed change to the spam of Asian restaurants and bubble tea cafes, that dot Cabramatta. Firstly: location and decor is a good combination. Located on the corner right next door to the multi-storey parking, and bustling market stalls, the Cafe gives you the feel as if your in Hong Kong or Japan; Watching the rush as you enjoy your coffee. The inner decor is a balanced combination of minimalism and comfort that isn't too detracted from reality. Secondly: The coffee is amazeballs! Single Origin Campos coffee, with a nice selection of beans to choose from. I had the Kenya Origin and it was rich and flavoursome. The menu is vast, with many choices to choose from and plenty of extras if needed. Although, removing a few items of the menu would help free up the choices (but I'm just nit picking here). I ordered the Mushroom Pesto Toastie, while my mate ordered the Avocado Toast. Our orders arrived within 10 minutes of ordering and we were amazed to see the generosity and detailed presentation of our meals. If you want to eat an actual avocado rather than a portion of a portion of a slice... Than look no further. Thirdly: The customer service is tip top. When we entered, we were greeted by the friendliest of server's. She was patient and understanding as well as knowledgeable on the menu and coffee selection. Too bad that I didn't get her name, but nevertheless, outstanding customer service! Pricing of the menu and coffee is reasonable and not too bad. In comparison to other similar cafes, The Usual Cafe is better in pricing when compared with service and quality. The only negative thing I would have to say - and this is rather random - would be the random wafts of diesel air that drift into the Cafe, caused by the trucks parked outside.. But again, I'm nit picking. The Usual Cafe is a definite stop for anyone who is looking for a proper coffee, excellent customer service or a mad feed that doesn't require chopsticks and slurping splurts.

I have been eating Pho for as long as I can remember. I have had it on three different continents,…read morehad my favorite pho joint go from one to another and another, but now I totally screwed myself over as I have found my ultimate favorite in Cabrametta... Australia. Great. I live i California. Pho Tau Bay lives up to the hype. A Google search for the best Pho in Sydney led to this place. While not exactly in Sydney, for those who are in the City proper, it's worth a drive. Hell, it's worth a flight over from California! :) The key thing w/ Pho is the broth and that's where PTB excels. There is a hint of sweetness to the broth that it perfectly on point. With the broth comes one important factor: It must remain hot throughout the consumption of the bowl. But once you dunk your beansprouts, it usually cools it down and loses its heat. Well, PTB actually flash boil the beansprouts before bringing them table side, so they are hot, yet crunchy, and don't cool down your soup. Absolutely freaking genius! Anyway, I'm craving a bowl BAD right now....

I joined a group of 20+ people for a farewell dinner only arriving when everyone's food was just about done. With such a big group they managed to get the orders wrong with the schnitzel never arriving but an extra steak coming out. Being the nice person I am (ok maybe it was more the hungry person in me speaking) I just took that extra steak not wanting to waste food or get someone into unnecessary trouble. The novelty of this place is having the steak cook in front of you on the hot plate. If you like your steak rare though this might not be such a good thing as depending on what cut you get you could end up with well done steak by the time you get to the end. I thought the food was decent. Prices very reasonable and I do like novelty things! However novelties do come and go so I just wonder how long this place will stick around for.

I personally chose the rump with mushroom sauce and mash potatoes & vegetables for my side. The steak wasn't great but for $14 steak it's quite the deal. My advice for people who enjoy their steak medium rather than well done is to cut up the steak into bite size quickly and leave them on the side (they give you this empty side tray to place your meat in) so it doesn't get get over cooked and become tough to chew. And when you're ready to eat it place it on the stone again to warm it up - or just opt to chose the chef cook it rather than have it stone cooked. But where's the novelty in that? This place is really generous with their sauces as it comes out in a separate (above average) sauce bowl which is fantastic for me because I always end up asking for extra sauce. This restaurant of course offers many other typical Asian dishes along with their steak on the rock and a variety of mixed fruit drinks. Also, coming here on a Friday night this restaurant didn't have such a massive wait like a lot of other restaurant along the strip. There are plenty of parking around, though sometimes you may have to wait 5-10minutes to get a parking spot. Overall, for students out there like me who has to live life on a budget, this place is a great place to go for lunch/dinner as it's cheap and super filling.

There was 5 in our party so we got to try different dishes. The flavours were very good and bold. The scampi simmered until golden with secret sauce was amazing. The clams in lemongrass was so yummy with the sauce and was really good with the fish sauce that they provide. The minced beef rolls where you wrap it in rice paper with rice noodles, been sprouts, cucumber, pickled carrots and basil, etc were delicious and flavourful and was really tasty with the dipping sauce. The silver fish steam boat had a very rich and flavourful sweet and sour broth and they give you a very concentrated fish sauce to add a bit to the soup as it was too salty. It was very tasty and flavourful. The dessert of the silken tofu and black pearls was delicious as well. A definite must try but will need a car to get there. It didn't take long before our first order arrived, Suckling Pig Trotter Thai Style Soup, a lovely hot and sour soup with flavours of coriander, basil, chilli and lemongrass. Fresh and comforting. The Organic Grilled Chicken with Sticky Rice has a nice smoky flavour from the grill and sweetness from the marinate. The Grilled Eggplant and Okra had a nice char on the outside and beautiful smokiness on every bite. The highlight was the Grilled Cockles with Tamarind sauce.
