SO many complaints! 1- tanning beds are so old that something is broken on every one! 2- they keep your credit card number and refuse to remove it from your account- no matter what. 3- they steal your money! they force you to buy another entire month's service when you try to cancel THEN they cancel you without...taking your months payment with them! 4- they (owners) are extremely rude with their customers 5- they continued to take payments throughout covid and flat out refused to refund for any of it, saying that customers had to use it as credit. 6- their sound system is a complete joke- the cheapest possible 7- they refuse to upgrade equipment, even when things break down! they have the poor, sweet girls up front try to "fix" the machines instead of doing something about it read more

Need to fix the BULBS.... not cool to have them out all the time when we pay for a service... it's like paying for a large drink and getting a small. JENNA is the bomb there. FIX THE BULBS Update - the owner still has not fixed the bulbs. It's like buying a 30 pack of beer and only getting 24. It crap and I am so over this place I sent emails and it took almost 3 weeks for a response and all I got was... the guy is busy and will fix them today. So they were yes WERE fixed. Got a few more out and some turned half way around so you don't get the full bulb. I emailed again and have yet to get a response over a week later. My first visit to Tan Republic was on Black Friday. I was very pleased with their 50% off sale of both tanning services and products. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful in recommending good quality products that I could afford. I'm looking forward to tanning there in a few weeks! read more

My fiancé went in this afternoon to tan for the first time in several years. The gal who assisted him offered him a bed that was needing repair. She said it wouldn't bother him because he had headphones. He agreed to take that bed but when he went into the bed it was too loud near his head so he ended the session within the first minute. He exited the room and asked the gal if he could wait for the other bed when it became available. He explained to her that it was too loud by his head and he would rather wait for the bed that wasn't broken. She did explain that he could not do two sessions and he tried explaining to her that he did not complete the first session due to the broken fan. She agreed to let him use the bed that was not broken. After his session he told the gal thank you and said it was much better. He then proceeded to leave the establishment. As he left he was followed by two police officers who pulled him over and proceeded to ask him if there was an altercation at the tanning salon. The gal reported that my fiancé had became aggressive and started to yell and throw things around which is obviously not true and BEYOND out of character. He of course explained minute by minute his encounter with her and encouraged the officers to review the security tape. He did not raise his voice nor was he throwing things around this establishment. The police officers dismissed this encounter after speaking with my fiancé and found it comical that the employee at the establishment wasted their time with the matter. Thanks tan republic . Fix your beds, CLEAN up, and grow up! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF and apparently VERY SENSITIVE. My fiancé never treated the gal with any disrespect. The only thing he asked as a customer was to not use a BROKEN BED. Given the fact he ended the session within the first minute due to the broken fan and requested a well functioning bed is part of providing service. We will NEVER recommend this establishment. Absolutely disgusted with this adolescent behavior where there was absolutely no wrong doing. Shame on you. read more

This place is clean and the customer service is on point. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The only downside I see to this franchise as a whole is how expensive the tanning lotions are sold for in store. Be sure to buy/bring your own outside of the store. Also nice to have different price ranges for everyone's needs. read more

The customer service is usually on point but I have to say, it is really annoying to have paid $300 for the gold membership and have to deal with a twenty minute wait or having to downgrade every time I come in. It is ridiculous not to allow people to make appointments because we have to hope we won't have to wait, downgrade or come back to be able to tan. Why do they only have one of this type of bed? I also don't understand why I should have to downgrade 50% of the time I visit this store (when I paid for a certain bed), and to upgrade is almost $20 for a single use?? Not to mention, $45+ for a tanning lotion is unbelievable. This is the worst tanning place I've been to for how much I spend here. I still am not as dark as I have been going elsewhere and I tan almost every day here. The only reason I am giving it this rating is because the staff is friendly. read more
