The salon was clean. My hairdresser trimmed up my A-style, then took a blow dryer to it. The Avalon stylist followed pre-existing lines, and trimmed it up a bit for me. This was as requested. She did a good job. Makeup came next. I generally wear a little makeup, mascara, little blush, very light lipstick. But I needed foundation for the photos. I left feeling a little concerned about how the photos would turn out, as the foundation that was used seemed to enhance and deepen fine lines around my eyes and lips. I researched online to see how this is avoided and learned that a primer that seals lines and closes pores should have been applied. Would I go back to Avalon? Absolutely. But I would request the primer.

I stopped in Trendz on an impulse, because I was about to cut them myself, and that never goes well. They took me as a walk-in, but I wasn't made to feel like I was putting them out. I waited less than five minutes. Gloria at Trendz fit me in, sat me down, listened to my phobias, and cut my bangs dry, which is brilliant because my cow lick only behaves when wet.
