Located in a little Mexican bodega, and only open two days per week, Tampa Taco is the place to go for all things birria and also tasty drinks. I went for the birria ramen. I placed my order, and then browsed around the bodega (where I bought all the different types of chiles I need to eventually make my own birria -- I hadn't been able to find these in any of the usual grocery stores). It took about 15 minutes for my order to be ready. The birria ramen was served in the ramen cup and thankfully wrapped in Saran wrap. Not a drop spilled on my drive home. The ramen was very good. The noodles were a bit soggy as they kept on absorbing soup. But the flavor was awesome. I appreciated that they gave me a small container of chili oil to add since birria itself is pretty mild, and I like everything picante. There were a couple slices of avocado on top for a creamy texture. The meat was very tender. I also had a mango melon agua fresca. It is served with a Tajin/Chamoy rim and a scoop of mango sherbet. It was super refreshing and also sated my appetite while driving home. I'm so happy to have finally had the opportunity to check this place out. I can't wait to return to try their crunch wrap and classic quesobirria tacos.

The BEST tacos in Florida hands down! I was so excited to dine here since it had been 2 years since our first visit. The authenticity and flavor of these tacos is insanely delicious. The Quesa Birria features loaded shredded beef and melty Mexican cheese, topped with cilantro, onion, salsa, and perfectly cooked tortillas. The birria sauce is like Mexican French dip juice - OMG finger licking good!

New addiction. Kind of thankful they're only open Friday & Saturday 12-9, or I might become something resembling a Crunchwrap. Everything here is ON POINT. Customer service, recommendations, everything has been delicious & we've so far tried tacos (steak, chicken), nacho fries, Crunchwrap, quesadilla, guac/chips, agua Fresca. They have a menu but consistently have other offerings, so ask!! Located in the back of El Rancho on the corner of Chestnut/Habana & everything is served to go, feel free to eat the second you hit the curb, I've seen more people snacking out in their cars, truck beds, on the sidewalk... part of the experience if you don't live closeby and you won't be sad about it. The food is fantastic.

Delicious! Delicious! Delicious. I ordered the queso birria tacos and it didn't disappoint. Decent price and flavorful. I'll definitely visit on my next trip to Tampa.

I like how this place is in the back of a grocery store . Reminds me of NY or in the movies . I got the Birria Ramen . I'm not big on birria but I wanted to try it out . It was okay to me . I'd love to come back n try the tacos

Tampa Taco is a hidden gem. They started from humble beginnings - in someone's home. They quickly found a home inside El Rancho Grocery store. If you're looking for delicious, authentic Mexican food then do yourself a favor and try this place out, you won't regret it!

If you know about bodegas in New York that serve delicious and tasty food and your home sick or just want a new flavor in ya mouth, then go check out Tampa Taco. I was starving and had just moved into the neighborhood and needed a spot to pick something up real quick, and stumbled upon this gem. If you love Barria tacos I would recommend this place, the flavor from the food is authentic and worth the wait because I taste that it was made with genuine love and care. I order a Barria Ramen, and the flavors through the sauce hit different parts of my palate, there is ramen noodles, shredded beef, cilantro and avocado. If you like your food a little spicy, I would suggest requesting the additional sauce seen in the above pic. With every bite you take you may feel like being in your workout for the day, because the spice will make you sweat, but 100% worth it with every bite.

Can be tricky if you're unsure what you're looking for but they are actually Located inside of a corner store bodega! Parking available on the street walk all the way to the back and you'll find a small counter taking orders. No tables or chairs inside or out for dining-to go only. Made to order to be prepared to walk thru the isles as you wait. We tried the birria ramen which had sliced avocado on top, a pretty large portion and very tasty. The tacos were nicely stuffed and had plentiful onions, cilantro and salsa on top. The asada fries was a hearty large portion with lots of toppings, eat this first because the fries will get soggy if you wait too long. Overall filling and very flavorful!

This place is tucked in the back of a bodega, you know like the corner stores they used to have in local neighborhoods. I ordered the queso Birria food came relatively fast. Got a couple jarritos and off to the vehicle I went, I might add there is no seating you just pick up your food and go. My tacos were delicious hot the broth was delicious. You can add an extra taco à la cart if you want I will definitely be back to try the steak Asada fries their culinary concepts are unique yet simple and their food is good. They do have adult beverages, beer with Clamato and a seasoned rim if you feel like a cold adult beverage. They also have a few desserts which I didn't try unfortunately. If you're in the neighborhood stop in, it's definitely good eats.

This place sells out fast - order early. Try their asada fries -- but ask for them to sub out the asada with the birria meat. It's tender and juicy and the flavor soaks into the waffle fries perfectly. The toppings of warm cheese, cold guac, sour cream and pico de gallo create the perfect balance. My second favorite food here is the quesadillas. They're cooked like the birria tacos with the flavor and juices cooked into the shell, and the inside is gooey and perfect. It comes with a side of broth for dipping that makes the whole meal just melt in your mouth. Don't leave without trying one of the Chamoynito agua frescas. The tamarindo is 10/10. Their horchata (made with almond milk) is also a must-try. Call ahead and pick it up. Or order when you get there. But you probably won't make it home before you pull over to eat some of it in your car. It's just too good.

My partner got the spicy tonkatsu and I had wanted to do the "make your own ramen" option. I really wanted wagyu but didn't like the toppings it came with. So I just made my own, though it was very costly to add more toppings, so I just chose 2. Overall, the experience was okay. The two not so favorite dishes for me were the fried rice topped with fried chicken. While chicken was very tasty the rice was extremely basic. Could have used eggs or other ingredients to elevate this dish. Also the Volcano roll was extremely disappointing. Normally the volcano topping is cooked or (torched) and this topping was cold and very unappetizing. Would not recommend this roll. Overall this place is a hit or miss. Service for our large party wasn't bad and everything came out pretty quickly!
