This is a tough review, for both the rooms and the restaurant. Both were decent if uninspired. The rooms we had were small but clean, perfect for surfers there for one thing and one thing only -- hitting the waves. To me, this was a "fair" experience. First, it's on the beach which is a huge plus. You can surf and play in the water right behind the "hotel." The other couple breaks are super close - one is even walking distance. Be aware, secondly, that they don't serve breakfast, so you gotta hump down the road to grab a bite. A bit annoying. Third, the food and drinks here were among the most mediocre in the area. This might have been better in the past, but my guess is they are living off past reputation. So much better food elsewhere. Fourth, they crank music - really loud - until 2am weekends. I was tired from all day in the sun and surf, and it kept me up with loud thumping. Not my scene and wasn't all that many people anyway. Annoying. Worse, the restaurant workers hung out right in front of the guest rooms, cleaning pots and pans and screaming in Spanish - at 3am. That's just not cool.
