Taco salad, meatless, with extra black beans.

The first four stars are all for our waitress Bailey! She was friendly, warm, and professional to our party of 27. Came in during lunch rush and she was so good at her job and the kitchen staff pulled it off beautifully as well. Apparently this is the most popular place in town and everyone was satisfied with their meals and the service was just outstanding. Meat and potatoes seemed to be their specialty but my meatless taco salad was good and I caught glimpse of two nice looking meatless garden salads as well.

Italian sausage sandwich with onions peppers. It's pretty damn good!

This place was great! We stopped here randomly on our way to Colorado Springs. The portions were huge and the price was more then fair. 3 of the 4 of us ordered chicken fried steak which was on special. We were all VERY impressed and highly recomend this. Our server was Jayde and she was excellent and attentive. We all would recommend stopping in if your passing through!

The food was really great! It was their Italian dinner night, so my son ordered the calzone. It looked so pretty for food, like it was for a photo shoot in a magazine. The pretty golden brown color. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak. And they said that it was what made them famous in a small town. And my husbands response after his first bite, was wow it truly is the best he has had, in a very long long time. I had a buffalo chicken rap. It was really good perfectly crispy chicken and bacon lettuce and tomatoes with a side of extra buffalo sauce on the side, wow!! And because my son ordered Italian we all got a free slice of home made Italian cream cake. And the waitress was Johnny on the ball. Needless to say we will drive the 100 miles just to eat here again.

What a Nice surprise in Fowler! The grill offers Steaks, hot sandwiches, and a few New Mexican dishes for dinner. The breakfast is good too! Nothing fancy - simple good food! We started with the jalapeño corn fritters ---Mmmmmmm. The fritters are crispy on the outside with a sweet mix of corn and a dash of jalapeño on the inside. You can dip them in your choice of ranch or blue cheese to cool them off before enjoying them. Tasty Steak Fajitas: marinated meat with a nice spice mix and not over cooked or greasy. The southwest salad had fresh ice burg lettuce with spring mix, corn, black beans, and lots of marinated chicken on top. We tied one of the home made pies for desert -- we choose Hanna cream pie. Delicious not too sweet and made with real bananas. We returned for breakfast, they were open on Sunday! The Tamarack special comes with two eggs, choice of meat, has browns and a 'side' of French toast, pancakes, or biscuits and gravy. Both the biscuits and gravy sides could be a regular breakfast ! Thick French Toast with hints of vanilla and cinnamon. They definitely take advantage of all the steak grilling as the gravy for the biscuits was savory with a good meat flavor.

The fatty prime rib sandwich tasty but fatty

It is okay. The only place in town I think. The chicken doesnt taste like chicken and the beef is a bit rubber.

Pros: Walking in the hostess was helping another couple but did acknowledge us. She went to sit the couple and another staff apologized and said that she will be right with us. We were sat outside and immediately were given water. Our waiter, who I can't remember his name, talked to us and took our drink order. My husband ordered a beer and me an iced tea. He gave us a few minutes before coming back to take our order. We started with the green chili fries and when they came out they were very good. I do wish there was a little bit of spice to it, but not a con. I even ordered a cup of green chili with my shrimp tacos. And my husband ordered the slopper. I loved the shrimp tacos, that I got the lettuce instead of a tortilla. I would highly order and recommend. Husband loved the slipper. He said if you don't see the fries or bun, assume your eating it all. Our waiter is very knowledgeable and was quick with his recommendations. He answered a burger question when asked and took his time with us. We did not feel rushed. My husband also ordered a beer flight and found some he enjoyed. All the staff worked together and matched our personality. Well, my husband's personality. We ended up ordering 3 cups if green chili with their chips. The salsa had a nice kick, mild kick, because they added green chilis to it. It tasted home made. When we had a minor issue with the bill, our waiter took charge and without hesitation took to fix it. We of course had to order dessert. Our waiter came back within minutes to inform some of the desserts were sold out but offered a replacement. I got the peach pie and my husband got the chocolate cake. The peach pie was a perfect mini size Cons: My husband was surprised the manager wasn't walking around ensuring everything ran smoothly. I honestly don't see it as a con. Also, the parking lot is small and when it gets busy I can see walking from another block over. There are 3 spots for the hotel and 4 spots that are a 2 hour limit. Recommended? Absolutely yes. Great food and excellent staff. Everyone here is friendly and seems excited to help the customers. We will definitely be back. And maybe stay at the hotel and walk over to enjoy a hamburger or more shrimp tacos with a cup of green chili

Since we hadn't been here in five years, I mentioned to our waiter how much I was craving a bowl, and he went out of his way to make it happen. That level of service alone made the visit memorable. I also ordered the Velvet Smoke mezcal cocktail, and wow, it was exceptional. Smooth, perfectly balanced, and not too strong. The smoky notes were present but not overpowering, and the nixta slate liqueurs, or heat and bitters brought everything together beautifully. Great service, great drinks, and a team that's willing to go the extra mile. Definitely worth the stop.

Pueblo, CO - The Secret Gem Revealed…read more Hands down, the hidden treasure of Pueblo sits quietly on the west side of town -- Reservoir Brewing. I strolled in after a long day of convention chatter downtown, feeling like a city-slicker cowboy wandering into an old ghost town. I pulled up a seat at the bar, surrounded by locals swapping stories and laughs. Behind the bar was the owner himself, ready to give me the lowdown on the beers. He suggested their Revolution beer but warned me it didn't come out quite like usual. so they added mango. Being the adventurous type, I said, "Why not?" First sip... home run! Easily my favorite of the night. One beer turned into a few, and before I knew it, I was closing the place down, talking with locals and the owner like we'd known each other for years. It was so good I came back the very next day to finish the beer list and check out the food. And let me tell you; Lord have mercy..... the food matched the beer in greatness. Perfect beer food. I started with the spicy habanero cheese curds (fiery but addictive) and then went in for the kill: The Rachel Fully Loaded with turkey, pastrami, and bacon on marbled rye, with chips on the side. That sandwich didn't stand a chance. Every crumb vanished. Naturally, I enjoyed a flight and stocked up with a couple of growlers to go. (Flip Flamingo Rule #1: Always keep empty growlers in the car, just in case.) The owners also mentioned they're moving to a bigger location closer to the reservoir, hopefully in September. You'd better believe I'll be back for round two at the new spot. If you want the best all-around brewery in Pueblo --Beer Food Vibes , this is it. Drop in, order a pint, and tell 'em Flip sent ya!

I tried one of their Green Chili Specialties--the Chile Relleno, a green chile pepper stuffed with cheese and breaded in a hard, crispy shell. I had both the mild pork, which had a nice meatiness from the chunks of pork, and the hot chorizo, which had a slightly spicy tang.
