Coffee and beer with a view!

Service. Food. Superb view! They were glad to accommodate my request for egg whites, had a very healthy serving of grits! Coffee was so yummy! The view at this place is right on the water and the locals make it a great resource. All staff was super friendly and we are going back.

After three days of the swanky Charleston SC food fare I wouldn't have guessed the best filet steak came from here. The dining room is water side so ambiance was great. The weight staff and patrons made the experience. Was in a room full of people I never met but no one was a stranger. Great experience

First and probably most important, this is a lakeside restaurant and convenience store. Alongside the restaurant they have boat gas, a small boat launch, and a pretty well stocked convenience store. If you are on the lake it's extremely handy for all of these things. There is a gas/shopping dock as well as a dock for those eating/staying longer. There is also ample beach where you can beach your boat or jetski. The store has non-ethanol gas for your boating needs as well as most things you could need at a quick stop type store. They have ice cream and other treats as well. The restaurant is mostly outdoor seating due to being on the water. I would describe the food as sort of upscale diner. They have the expected diner/family restaurant fair such as burgers and shrimp (my personal favorite) but also have proper steaks and other items you wouldn't expect from a normal diner. Everything I've had has been exactly what I wanted so I have no complaints of the food. They also have a ton of beach side seating for events (mostly concerts) and that's great if you just want to grab a beer and sit. It gets busy on Friday and weekends, especially for dinner so be prepared. I like to go through the week when it's a little less full.

I popped in here today as a vendor and left as a customer. Aubrey, and the ladies at the front desk were fun & professional. I stepped over to the Marina side and had a late lunch. My order was taken and I sat on the patio to enjoy the views as I waited for my food to come out. The restaurant wasn't as diverse as I would have preferred but that has never stopped me from enjoying myself anywhere. After a short wait my food was served to me I ordered grilled shrimp, fried okra, green beans, and red coleslaw. My food was very hot and tasty I was glad that my shrimp was not over season as I am trying to watch my salt intake. I broke the ice on the patio and begin a conversation with some Patriots and the table behind me and after that we are became buddies and one lady came over and told me all that I have been missing out on. The restaurant has has karaoke and sometimes live band that perform over the weekend. I enjoy my food the views and the company today at Tamarac Marina I can truly say that I stumbled upon a hidden gem. They had dessert on the inside but I didn't want to overindulge. The food was moderately priced and you pay on the inside at the counter when you are done. A convenience store and marina combination isn't bad for Thursday! I will be back soon one of my servers Gabby was given hugs to regulars that were sitting on the patio and she came over to see if I needed anything and I said I wanted to hug too and she actually gave me one thank you I needed that.

You know the saying about packed parking lots at restaurants? Yeah, it's true for this place!! It was our first time eating here, on top of it being a Friday night.... We were able to quickly snag a table (seriously thought it'd be a long wait). I was pleasantly surprised; the service was good, the food was excellent! Fresh made tarter and cocktail sauces!!! As to the negative reviews on here, I've had much worse service (and food) from way more popular establishments, that were way less busy.

Our homebase closed temporarily and they worked with us to extend our stay until our place reopened. The sites are mostly wooded, with additional open air sites. They have drive thru sites too. The sites are a good size and very well maintained from the site itself to the hookups. They have walking trails, a playground and a pool. You will also have a laundry facility (very clean!!!) and a bath house (those are very clean as well). It also looks like they are expanding - adding more open sites and another bath house/laundry facility. It's so peaceful here! Parents can feel safe letting the kids ride/walk around. There are signs stating that children have the right of way.

Full hookups so you're not roughing it here, they also have a swimming pool for the warmer months. Pros: roomy spots, so you're not right next to strangers. They definitely keep the area clean, everyone has their own rubbish receptacle, very quiet, well designed, beautiful scenery in the woods and the layout is country cute! Cons: water pressure is a little low, and the laundrette is a little rough, the machines are dirty and overpriced ($1.75 for wash, but $3.50 to dry) with 2 out of order. Would not hesitate to stay again.

What a find! After a long day of searching for a campground that met our needs, we found it!…read more We are tent campers so finding a place where you are not on top of each other and don't have to hike a mile into the woods isn't easy. There are a few tent areas and ours was 4 spots, however, they could've put in about 20, so yes, they are huge! We were able to sprawl out and have all the space we could ever need. This campground is on 30 acres. It has a pool, bathhouse, beach volleyball, playground, sandbox, 2 pavilions, and a small farm. The farm has a bunny, 2 miniature horses, a full-sized horse, goats, and 2 pigs. The owners live on the property and are very accessible and friendly. We needed wood for our fire and they have it for sale. They even deliver it to your site. The price is right (compared to Walmart or Lowes where the bundles of wood are tiny and burn so quick that you run thru $100 in a night) Our $20 in wood lasted for 1.5 days, which is good since we like fire! The site was super quiet and it was like a little oasis. Where we were was right by the river, so you can hear the babbling, quite peaceful! We had a bunch of trees that kept the campsite cool during the day. There are some tent spots in the middle of the camper areas, but luckily they put us away from everything! There is another tent area that sits across the brook (cute little bridge to get to that side) and I couldn't count how many spots could go into that area, it's wide open! There will be another trip planned!

There's also a carousel, a barnyard to pet farm animals, an aquarium/exhibit with live animals inside of it in the nature center, a splash pad, mini golf, trails for walking, and some wildlife habitats outside that have wild animals as well. We didn't get to do the train, as it was closed; but there was still so much to enjoy at the park. Me and my bestie brought our kids and they had a blast! We spent a solid 2-3 hrs there and had a great time. It's also very inexpensive!! Some things that I will say is that the bathrooms are not very clean and don't even work but it's an old place, so that's to be expected and we're not there to use the restroom, we're there to play! Bring cash for extra things, like carousel, barnyard, animal exhibits, etc...sometimes their card reader doesn't work and they can only accept cash. There's even a cute place to shop where you purchase tickets for everything with toys and snacks inside! All in all, we had a great time! Keep in mind this place is old, but it definitely still has charm, and stands out against the other parks around. The animal exhibits, including the barnyard petting activity is a hit or miss, because this place is not a zoo. The animals have plenty of room to hide and/or roam to get space, which is a great thing!!! But some people might be upset after paying and not really being able to see the animals. Highly recommend!!! Go if you haven't!!!!
