This place is so yummy! Dont forget your small places! Great coffee, good people, good eats! Cozy place for lunch!

My husband and I stopped by here for some breakfast tacos on our way home from Durant, and man-oh-man, I'm glad we did! For starters, the chips and salsa were sooooo good! (I ended up buying 16 oz of the green sauce to go.) I ordered two of the potato, egg, and cheese breakfast tacos but could only eat one because they were bigger than I expected. I took the other to-go for later. My husband had a chorizo taco and a tamale plate and ate every bit of it. The service was great, as well. This little hole in the wall delivers big on flavor and service! Give it try! You won't regret it!

Cute place. Friendly service. Good authentic food. All made from scratch. Give this place a try to taste really good tamales.

If I could give our visit a 3 1/2 I would. It was our first time and some things I liked and others I didn't. My husband liked his meal, it was a Pork Tamale Plate with Chili and Eggs . He said he would give it a 4, he thought the tamales and chili were good. We both liked the beans, not my favorite, but by far not my least favorite. We both liked their Hot Sauce and would give it a solid 4, I really enjoyed eating it, it was pretty much my favorite thing. My husband liked their Green Salsa the most and would give that a 4 1/2. I was disappointed in my tamale selection. We drove about 1 1/2 hours one way and I was looking forward to their Sweet Potato Tamale, but did not have any available. I also asked for a Brisket Tamale , but they had none of those available either. I was told they had pork, chicken, and spinach tamales to choose from so I settled for a spinach one. I did not like it and gave the rest to my husband, the masa tasted like blueberries to me. ‍ I did get two breakfast tacos and I liked the No. 4, Potatoe, Cheese and Potatoes one. I would give them a 3, that tasted very average to me. I got a Spinach Breakfast Taco and did not like that at all, I'd probably give it a 1 1/2 or 2. The waitress was pleasant and there were no problems there. I'm glad my husband enjoyed his plate and I really did enjoy the hot sauce.

Great customer service and speedy transactions for food pick up. I've only gotten the tamales to go. They have them made and ready to sell. You have the option of buying them cold Incase you won't be eating them right away. They stay fresh for a couple of days in the fridge. Authentic Mexican taste for sure. Regular size therefore I think they could sell for $10 not $15. Other than the price my whole first experience was great.

Nice lunch today all though no salamander to heat plates it was tasty, we will return if you do decide to go watch your parking.

Ole' what a find in Sherman, Texas! Lupe's World Famous Tamales are worldly tasty. We tried the specialty plate; smoked pork, spinach and tamale all with the perfect balance of masa to filling. You will have room for chips and some very tasty salsa. These tamales are gluten free also! One more thing...there is a full menu and the chile relleno was rich and well prepared. We had the owner John serve us which really spiced up the evening. Gracias

Good eat in menu, but get a few to take home. Try the asparagus tamales. I have never been disappointed with anything I have tried.

Lupe's has decent, commercial "Mexican" food. My husband really likes their tamales!

Located in downtown Sherman you might miss the coffee house if you haven't been there before,…read morealmost like a speakeasy. The shop is located on the 2nd floor of the building and you can take the stairs or the elevator. Service was excellent. The drink I went in for was not available, but the barista recommended an exceptional substitute. The espresso could be stronger but the flavor of the syrup was great and they offered filtered drinking water. The location is well lit, and is a good place to gather with friends or for an intimate coffee date. There is art showcased on the walls that add to the shop's appeal. They also carried a small amount of merchandise and had board games available to play if you choose to stay and enjoy your coffee. All in all, I would recommend The White Rabbit Coffee House and will be returning.

Free water and bottomless coffee refill in the corner. They sell balms, stickers, clothes, and more. Prices are a little steep, especially with a farmers market across the street, but options are always a good thing. I ordered a large latte. The menu states flavors are an extra .50 in the menu book, but I was charged $1. (Just an observation that the prices may not be correct on yeh menu book) They ask for tips, but I wouldn't. They don't clean up, you take your cups and plates to the trash area. We ordered the tacos. It did take 25 minutes to get it and it was not busy. Our coffee was ready pretty quickly. I presume (wild guess) that the food fixer dude is not good with multi tasking, or his desire to serve is lacking. Anyways, the serving size was good! The tacos were warm on top, but the eggs were cold on bottom. Plus they really had no flavor. My latte was warm at best and the coffee was not strong? I would suggest switching brands. The hot cocoa my husband got WAS delicious and stayed hot in the travel cup... so maybe that would help in the latte arena. The coffee server was by far very friendly. Thank you for Truly not being ugly, just an honest review. If I come back will try a coffee and a food item to see if it improved.

Inside, the atmosphere is small-town comfort at its best -- casual, welcoming, and the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home. I ordered the Chicken Bennie, and it was absolutely outstanding. A homemade biscuit served as the base, soft and fluffy on the inside with just the right touch of crisp on the outside. On top of that came perfectly fried chicken tenders, a runny egg that tied everything together, and a generous pour of rich, savory sausage gravy. It all came with a side of crispy fried potatoes that were cooked just right -- golden and flavorful without being greasy. Every bite was pure comfort food perfection. The coffee was smooth and satisfying, the kind that pairs perfectly with a hearty breakfast. Service was excellent as well -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind, which made the whole experience even better. You can tell the staff really cares about their customers and their food. Overall, 1836 Café is exactly what you hope to find in a small-town spot: great food, great people, and an atmosphere that keeps you wanting to come back. I'll definitely be returning, and I highly recommend it to anyone passing through or nearby.
