Though we were hoping to hurry in efforts to not keep them this was such great advice as I switched one of my scoop flavors which made, in my opinion, the most perfect two scoop cup. They were patient and welcomed questions and a conversation. I also ended up with a bag of delicious candies and chocolates because everything looked delicious and it absolutely was. Everything didn't last a day. What a gem to get ice cream, unique candies as well as common candies and delicious chocolates all in one stop.

I tried the Culvers by my house a few times over the years with mixed results. However,I have seen many post from around the country raving about the fried shrimp, fish sandwich and pot roast. So,I ordered the fried shrimp dinner and fish sandwich in order to try both. I was impressed. Think, elevated fast food. Actually the fried shrimp were as good as you get anywhere... excellent. The fish sandwich was a thick piece of fried cod on a soft white bun. Perfect! We also sampled a Cranberry Blue Chicken Salad . Grilled chicken, bed of greens, generous blue cheese sprinkles... beyound expectations. Oh,the chocolate shake made from custard is enough to motivate a return trip. This place was a home run and at only $33 for two people to sample three menu items ,it's a strong .. Go

A first rate coffee shop that puts the indie coffee shops of Austin to shame…read more And I should know - living in Austin and spending a lot of time in coffee shops. If Lettuce Indulge was in my hometown, it would be my number one hangout coffee shop. They specialize in very high quality straight up coffee, their own self-invented elaborate coffee drinks - and healthy main dishes. I did a straight up espresso and a chicken and good-for-you-stuff bowl. The straight up espresso was so good - I went for a second about twenty minutes later. I don't have a coffee taster's vocabulary - But this was a non-burnt, non-heavy, complicated, intriguing brew. It was not like any coffee I had had in a long time. * * * The chicken bowl beat the stupid stuff Starbucks sells you for lunch easily. My home coffee shops vary in the quality of their kitchens. There are some sandwiches and salads to die for. There is also a lot of mediocre stuff that makes Starbucks lunch look good. If my chicken bowl had been rated on an Austin scale from 1 to 10, It would have been a solid 8. I would be happy to eat that over and over and over again. * * * The room is fine. The folks who work there are super super friendly and super super nice. * * * The establishment closes on Sundays ... So I am going to guess that one of the owners or maybe a huge percentage of the staff are dedicated Christians. There is a lot of idealism in the craftsmanship that goes into the coffee. Same for the idealism that goes into the food. Plus the room has a very healthy vibe. There is a lot of virtue in this establishment. Virtue is a good thing.
