this time last year I was scared to death to take my wedding dress to someone to alter in fear it would end up messed up or worse. after reading tons of reviews and looking over so many websites, I found Tall Grass. We came to Tallgrass Tailor to have my daughters wedding dress alterations done. Shae and everyone were very friendly and professional. They were patient, too!! After we signed the plan and paid deposit, my mother decided she could do it for us (she is a very gifted seamstress also). Shae was very responsive and professional about cancelling the plan and refunding my deposit completely!! I just found out that her veil was accidentally left there, and they called to make sure we got it back. Yes I believe every business should conduct themselves professionally, but honestly it is difficult to find sometimes. I did not expect to get my deposit returned because we had agreed to the contract. I will not use any other tailor for my future needs. In fact, we used another well-known tailor for my daughters school skirt a few years ago and had to take it back TWICE for the hem. They didn't offer to refund ANY of my money for the failures. Shea is friendly but does not completely listen to you. We had agreed on one option of an alteration at my first appointment, but when I picked it up (a week later than promised), she had done the second option. One that she preferred, not me. I also must add that the entire first appointment, I felt like I had to defend every idea I gave and I still didn't feel like she ever listened to me. Would not recommend. read more
