They were easy to talk to and understood the task but did not communicate as they mentioned. When I called in to check on the items after two weeks of the initial drop off. They were very receptive and had the items completed that day! The price for the work performed was fair and I'm glad they were able to fix our items! We will return for other items as needed. Simple tear in the seam of suit pants and they did an absolutely horrible job in the repair. The pants are now unwearable. Would be better off with the tear still being there. Not to mention it took them over a month and only got it that soon due to calling. read more

I have gone to many tailors all around the world and I never had a problem like this before. This place has gone downhill. Miss Ann is rollin in her grave right now. Miss Beverly the owner has hired foreign ladies that don't speak english and have NO tailor experience to practice on people's clothes. At first her son did not pin my brand new dresses properly then I had to come back to place pins again both dresses ended up asymmetrical. I paid $77 to her son after I left she called me saying I owed her money.. I told her "I gave $100 to your son and he gave me some change". She thought I left without paying. They are very unprofessional and unorganized. When I got home I tried on the dresses and they were completely uneven one side longer than the other. (Im attaching photos) The straps still loose. I went back to the shop because Miss Bev promised it was an easy fix but now my dresses are destroyed and too short for anyone else to fix them. She refused to refund me and when I broke down crying at her store she called the cops on me! Save your self the frustration and go somewhere competent. They do not know how to tailor! Walk in and see hundreds of garments people have dropped off. She takes care of everything from jeans to wedding dresses with her seamstress skills. While chalking off where she needed to hem my dress she talked about how busy she had been that week. Then, stated she's have my dress ready the next day! Talk about a quick turn- around time. I live in NYC, but I'm originally from Tulsa and got married there this past October. I arrived in town on a Sunday and my wedding was that upcoming Saturday. My dress was in Tulsa, and I wasn't able to come and get it altered in advance like most brides. When I stepped into it I was shocked to see how much of a gap in the chest there was. After a mini-freak out session I went to Yelp to find the best seamstress in town. I called Miss Ann's the first thing on Monday morning. I explained my dilemma to her, and asked that she please take a look at it and she could determine if it was too much work to pull off in the short amount of time. Miss Ann agreed and I took my dress in (fingers crossed). She decided to do me a favor, and my dress was altered for less than $80. I couldn't believe it. It fit like a glove when she was done, and she was kind enough to take on the last minute wedding dress alteration. I cannot express how helpful she was. This review is long overdue! If I could give this place less than one star I would. As soon as you walk into the alterations store the floor is dirty, the fitting room floor is dirty as well, the blinds are dusty, and the back wall behind the receptionist desk is cluttered. Their prices are just absolutely outrageous and way too expensive. The young lady who works at the front desk was really sweet and helpful, however I walked into the store at the wrong time. I'm assuming it was the owner, but the owner and one of her seamstresses were in a bit of an argument. The owner clearly heard a customer walk through the front door but she continued to argue. To me that is just extremely unprofessional when a customer is present. I will never take my business here again. read more

I took my prom dress here to get altered and the estimate she gave me seemed to much so I decided to go somewhere else and get another estimate, which the place I ended up going to saved me 100 dollars!! But she ruined my dress pretty much, marked it very uneven and then marked all the way around with wax chalk which when you try to get off of the fabric of my prom dress it stains!! So now I have to go way shorter on my dress and heels! Do not recommend this place. To expensive and careless. read more

My search for a tailor in Tulsa started and ended with Miss Ann and her incredible team. I was recently given a series of garments that I will have to wear for work nearly every day for the next 3 years. My moment of joy quickly turned to panic as I tried them on for the first time. I was swallowed in the massively oversized jacket and appeared something like a small child trying on grown up clothes, yet still with appropriate sized sleeves for a child. I thought there was no hope for the jackets... Until Miss Ann's saved the day. The jackets now fit like a glove and nothing on them was compromised in the process. I meant to post this review earlier but got too busy. I had to make time, though, because I had such a great experience with this business I wanted everyone to know. Last week, I had a skirt and a dress that needed to be hemmed. I was leaving town on Friday and didn't get them in to Miss Ann's until the Wednesday before. The very nice lady who waited on me said they would try to get the dress done by then but probably couldn't get both done. I understood and left hoping I'd at least get the dress in time to take it with me for the weekend. They texted me on WEDNESDAY afternoon to say my order was done. I went in on Thursday morning expecting to get the dress and they had done BOTH of them! They aren't cheap, but if you value your good clothes, they are so worth the price. They do beautiful work and they are the kind of people you will want to do business with. I know I will give them all of my alteration work from now on! read more

I recently had need of alterations on a formal dress for my daughter's wedding. I contacted Miss Ann's via Yelp to see if the alterations could be completed in time. Graciously, the owner of the business responded right away and I went to the shop. It's small but tidy, and FYI, it is tucked behind the Chinoweth & Cohen Realty office off of 41st and Peoria, on the east side of that building. The owner greeted me warmly, showed me to a fitting room and carefully measured and prepared the dress for alterations. It was finished beautifully, on time, (in fact a little earlier than promised) and I was charged a very reasonable fee. Very nice people, wonderful experience. read more

Pretty much the same bad treatment as the other 1 star reviews. The skirt came extremely long; took it in for shortening but asked that she take it off the waist and put in elastic. When I tried on the "finished" skirt at home it was still 4 inches! too long. She measured on me again and in the process said, "This is cheap material." I told her I paid over $100 for it and it wasn't cheap to me. Had to call after she'd had it a week to say I was picking it up, finished or not. (Needed it for a performance.) When I went in it was ready, but the asst. said, "$20." Had to talk to Miss Ann to whom I said, "I already paid $34." She said, "Well, I had to put in elastic before." Me: "Yeah, but you didn't do it right." I paid $10 -- if I hadn't had the performance the next night I would have left without it. I am ALWAYS courteous to workers and shop keepers, and I was at all times with her. But she was rude and extremely unprofessional. I think she needs to close the shop. read more

I frequented Ms Ann's for years and she was a joy to visit and do business with. In the past month, I've walked into the door of Ms Ann's and have left without leaving my clothing. The first was a one of my favorite pair of shorts that the zipper had broken, the girl at the desk said that it would be $25 to $35 to fix and it would take over two weeks to do. I went elsewhere and had it fixed for $10.. I stopped by there today with a button hanging by the threads and I asked if she could fix it quickly. Her reply was how quickly, I said tomorrow. She replied that they had some 300 plus items in front of it and didn't think it would be any time soon(i took to cleaners and they will fix it for $3 and be ready tomorrow). Miss Ann would have fixed it while I waited for either no charge or maybe 5 bucks... I don't know the new owner, but if they want to use the Ms Ann name, I hope they get their act together on customer service. I have no idea on the quality of product that the new owner is putting out, hopefully it is good. read more

I took a garment in for a simple alteration and was told it would be finished in one week. At the end of that week, I called (on a Monday) to check and see if the garment was ready as promised, and it was not; no one had called me to let me know this either. The woman on the phone said she would have it ready at the end of the week. I called the following Monday and the woman said she was not sure if it was ready, that she would have to find the garment and that she would call me back. Three hours and no phone call later, I just went to the shop and guess what? It was still not done. Another customer was there when I arrived and she too was told her items were not ready as promised. Zero communication from anyone at Miss Ann's meant that my garment sat there for more than two weeks and no one had the courtesy to call me and tell me that they were too busy to complete the simple alteration. I will not ever give them my business. read more

I was fed up with not only the staff attitude but the owner Ann's as well after one visit. They acted annoyed with my questions, didn't ask what I wanted, and it overall felt like she was trying to get rid of me. She greeted long term customers with a happy attitude, but waved me off and had to be forced to take down what I wanted. When I went back for my dress, which was hemmed, it was wrinkled all over after she promised to steam it. I asked if it was steamed like I asked and she said they didn't want to. But after I insisted she got angry and took it back to steam it. The little task only took 5 minutes, I don't know why she wouldn't before, even if she didn't think it was needed I wanted it to be. I would never recommend this place. Work is average at best, service is horrible, owner is even worse. Take your business elsewhere! read more

Disappointing. I won't be going back. Experience: It started out great - I stopped in and she pinned my dress and a couple belts and the process went quick. I asked when everything would be ready and she said next Friday (1 week). I came back on Friday...my items weren't ready. I was a little shocked when she acted smug and didn't really offer an apology. She said everything would be ready on Monday. Once again...I stopped by to pick up my clothes she said would be ready and once again they weren't. Except this time the lady at the front asked "did we text you?" Umm No. I just came back when I was told it would be ready. Pretty sure that's an important fact to tell a new customer. Had I known they send a text when it's ready for pick up I would've had a different experience. I wasn't in a hurry - it could've taken 3 weeks and I would've been fine. But two wasted trips was frustrating and it made me mad. Both times she said "sorry, we just got busy". That's fine...but don't waste my time when you over promise and under deliver. Quality: at first I thought the dress was great. But then I remembered there was a small slit on either side of my dress when I took it in - she sewed them up when they didn't need to be sewn up. I only had the back half of the dress hemmed to match the front (it was originally a mullet dress - longer in the back). Also, she took too much off of the belts, they're too tight. Now I have to take them somewhere else to be fixed and undo her work. I'm petite 5'1" and regularly have alterations made to almost all of my clothes. Trust me...I'm familiar with the process and have been for years. Perhaps she needs to slow down and focus. Especially since this was my first time as a new customer. I'll be going back to Miss Wendy downtown or Lee's out on 71st in Broken Arrow. Now I definitely know it's worth the drive to BA. I'm sorry, but I can not recommend Miss Ann. read more

Recently took a dress in to get altered. Not originally from Tulsa, this was my first alteration experience in Oklahoma. I will NOT be back. Arrived to pick up my gown and the extra fabric that was supposed to have been altered out was gathered, folded, and sewed onto the outside of the dress. So the excess fabric was noticeable on both sides and puckered out. When I requested that it be removed and properly altered, two of the ladies seemed to be annoyed with my request. They eventually agreed to correct the error but only after I pay them more to fix it. When I went to pick up the dress the 2nd time, the zipper would no longer zip up. After telling them this, one of the ladies in the back started showing me why it "should" zip. Finally, after trying the dress on and showing them that it no longer worked, they realized that the zipper in fact no longer worked. I left the dress with them a 3rd time before the work was completed. read more
