I tried this place for the first time and brought in 3 pairs of jeans to be hemmed. The jeans weren't very expensive so I was like "if it doesn't work out, oh well". But I was pleasantly surprised, I'm going to guess it was Maribel who was working up front greeted me while helping another gentleman. It didn't take long at all and she had me put all 3 jeans on and pinned them. It took maybe 15min, wrote me a slip and gave me a date to pick them up by. When the date rolled around I called to to check if they were ready she said they were. Picked them up and they were perfect, I loved that they even matched the stitching color. I will definitely use them again. Very friendly and nice, I love supporting a small business like theirs. Oh, they're really inexpensive, it cost me $24 for 3 pairs of jeans. read more

Took an entire month to alter a pair of jeans, told it would be two weeks. When I called after two weeks and hadn't heard anything she said she would check and call back. Never heard anything so I went to the shop. They hadn't even started on them. After another few weeks of new promised finishing dates, they were finally picked up. They still don't look right but at that point I didn't want to deal with it anymore. I was still charged for the alteration, despite the errors and the waiting. read more

I am extremely lucky that I like so close to this shop! This is where I bring any clothes that need fixing and any custom sewing needs. I have brought delicate dance costumes here to add mesh to the top, a huge bag full of skirts that needed hemming, zippers that needed fixing, and jackets with buttons that needed to be sown. Most recently, I brought a beautiful long dress that I bought online but was too big and the side slits were all messed up. She not only made it fit perfectly but she also managed to fix it to where the previous mess up was not noticeable! The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. They are even willing to work past their hours to finish a job. The work ethic is admirable! They are also willing to make personal projects a reality. I brought a ton of old shirts in and she turned them into a beautiful, cozy quilt. The prices are extremely reasonable so I always make sure to leave a good tip. Terrible experience. I went in on the first if july with my wedding dress, my wedding is august 10th. I ask the lady before i leave "how much will it cost" she tells me "oh very cheap all i have to do is bring in the sides" i ask her how long it will take she tells me "oh not long at all, very quick and easy " i call back on the 13th, 2 weeks after ive dropped it off, im told the only woman there that can do my wedding dress is out of town for another week, and my dress wont be done till shes back to START it! I tell them ill pick it up and take it elsewhere, when i go in they show me their half of my receipt and tell me that it obviously says it will be done on the 30th, and that i was told that and its on my receipt, i tell them thats not the case and i can show them my receipt, and she had to have wrote that after i left. i go out to my car to get it and they locked me out of their store. Please don't waste your time, go to Lu's tailor shop in tulsa, she was able to fix my dress in such short notice when otherwise my wedding would be ruined. read more

Had 2 pair of shorts that were in excellent condition but the flimsy zippers pulled apart. Took them to Maribel's for repair. Both had new zippers sewn in that were significantly more substantial and done very professionally. I was charged $10 for each for such a fine work. read more

I quickly discovered with a few phone calls to tailors around Tulsa that she would be the most affordable to replace a zipper on a lined dress skirt. But, when I arrived at her shop, the INCREDIBLE service I received was beyond my expectations!! She quickly took a look at the skirt & told me it may not be the zipper at all. She went to the back for a couple of minutes & returned with the zipper problem completely fixed!! It wasn't the zipper at all, but a separate problem she fixed with a professional machine FREE OF CHARGE! She definitely earned all of my future business!! read more

Unassuming little shop with a friendly atmosphere. On a Monday I took in two dresses that needed alteration. I was asked to return the following Monday for pickup. Dresses were tailored exactly as I needed, and I was agog at how little I was charged. I felt moved to leave a nice tip. The only caveat I would keep in mind is that they do not accept credit or debit cards. This wasn't enough of an annoyance to give them less than five stars, just rolled by the ATM beforehand. read more

Does a great job and very reasonably priced. Price has been the best by far from any other alteration store I've gone to. I'd say the only con to this review is the timing of when your alteration is ready for pickup because they're so backed up that even though I was given a date on when my dress would be ready, it wasn't ready on time.
