My twins went to one of Talent Connections' open audition last Fall and were selected to participate in their services. I was skeptical at first because you always hear that a reputable agency will never charge you upfront and Talent Connection does charge a fee for the services that they provide (and they are very upfront about the fee and what it includes). However, what you are paying for are real and tangible things - 1) Acting classes and guidance, which my kids really enjoyed, 2) A professional photo shoot including hair, make-up, and wardrobe consulting - this alone would cost $200-$400 on its own, and 3) Monthly agency auditions with reputable Bay Area and Southern California agents. We got the girls' headshots done in January and they turned out great! We went to our first agency "go-see" that Talent Connection recommended in the Bay, but were not selected. We went to our 2nd agency audition at Talent Connection in early March and both girls were offered contracts! The girls have now auditioned for two different gigs in SF and one of my daughters just landed her first paid gig (commercial) for a huge international company! I can't say enough how much I appreciate Renee and the rest of the staff at FTC for their help and support in getting us to this point. I have to admit, I wasn't too sure about this. I saw it on Facebook, read some reviews, some good, some bad and just said what do we have to lose? So we went to their open call and it was better than I expected. They were very professional, courteous and respectful to everyone that was there that day. They made us feel right at home and were very welcoming. We met them on a Saturday, the following Saturday we had head shots, the following Saturday we met with an agent from SF, and less than a month we're already auditioning for a catalog photo shoot!! Just know that you will have to pay for your head shots, there's no way around it, if you don't want to pay for them, don't expect them to work with you without head shots...After all they are promoting you're child and they need professional head shots. I had the opportunity to audition for Ms. Renee Bines back in April 2017. I was selected to attend iPOP LA July 2017 and had a very successful week! I was cast in the Talent and Modeling showcase and received over 10 callbacks! Since then I have been cast in two commercials with one being shown during Super Bowl 52! My daughter has shown interest in performing since a very young age. I went in a little pessimistic as I have a bit of a jaded outlook on the industry as a whole. I can say that Rachel was not blowing smoke. We ended up getting signed with an agency and already within a short time have booked modeling opportunities with very well known stores.
