You never know if you're going to…read morefind that designer bag or shoes for 80% off or if all you're going to find is the Nordstrom rack brand items. That's what makes it fun! The Rack in Maple Grove is decent sized and well laid out. They tend to have a bit of a smaller selection of the higher end designers that you can find at the Mall of America Nordstrom rack but still a decent variety. They carry women's, men's, children's, shoes, accessories and home goods. Parking is plentiful but the traffic flow is a little tricky directing you right into the first row. That row gets 100% of incoming traffic so I'd recommend parking one or two over. Customer service here is always good. While you are kind of on your own to hunt the racks (if you want a personalized shopping experience head to the actual Nordstrom's) the employees always seem to be in a good mood and helpful when checking out. Dressing rooms are always clean and they have plenty of spaces to try on items. It helps when people return unwanted items to the return racks so do your part and don't leave them in the room. Overall I think visiting this location is fun and I rarely leave empty handed!

And spoke to someone that claimed to be a manager they said they would investigate the situation. They claimed to have check cameras, and they claimed that the shoes were in the bag, but the shoes never made it home with me. I'm a professional medical provider I have two twin boys, a husband there is no other female in the house and I know what I saw and how this person was acting at the register. Just make sure you check your items before leaving this store! Especially when you have someone that's bagging your stuff on the ground versus on the countertop!

I am especially fond of the Banana Republic Factory. They have a great selection of items, especially if you're looking for workwear (they've got great options for both casual and more business-y dress code). Don't miss the clearance section in the back--you can always score great stuff. I have found some of my best dresses here. In addition to the great selection and prices, you can also count on good service. I am always greeted warmly, and if I need help, I am always able to get it. Checkout is always seamless, too! This is always one of the first places I go if I want something that will look good.

One and a half is for the only male employee in the store that greeted me (and then eventually helped me get a dressing room - see more below). The other half star is for the female employee in the dressing room who asked me how I was doing about ten minutes into my trying-on of several items. After said male employee greeted me, no other sales person asked if I needed help looking for anything, and there were about 6 sales people total. The store was not overly busy - I would say about 10-12 people were shopping (and being helped). Within five minutes, I had found a few pieces I was admiring from the fall look book. Five minutes later, I was still looking. At no point did any person ask, "Would you like to start a fitting room?" even though it was clear I was accumulating items. After fifteen minutes of browsing, I go to the dressing room. There are two employees (female) working the dressing room, so one would assume you would get a room within 2 minutes. Oh, and there wasn't a line. Nope. I stand there, and even peek around the corner to see where were these mysterious employees. I felt like I was in a cartoon where one character tries to look around the tree, but that character darts behind them, and never the two shall meet. After about seven minutes of waiting (I'm still the only one "in line"), the same male employee walked past me and started to go into the restroom. He caught my glance, which truthfully probably radiated a lot of annoyance, and asked if I needed a fitting room. YES. YES, I DID. He finds me one in five seconds. I go in to try my items. Now about the clothes - maybe I'm not the target demographic (after all, this is the sports section of Banana Republic and The Gap), but it seemed like every piece had something a little off about it. Pants were too long (and if you hemmed them, it would lose the shape), crops were too plain (definitely did not feel great enough to pay $80 for them). Jackets looked great on the hangers, not on my petite frame. Ten minutes into my trying on items, I hear one of the elusive female dressing room employees chirp my name - "How's it going in there?" I answer with an "ok" just for her to go away. I end up leaving with nothing. I actually was so annoyed, I forgot I wanted to buy a water belt I had seen, but frankly the customer service sucked. They have a huge stock of merchandise - much more than it seems than the Mall of America location (which by the way, has friendlier employees). I would say that's the only plus. It is in Edina, and I wondered if the fact I wasn't a white middle-aged woman with an expensive purse, sans makeup because of my facial, and dressed in yoga clothes merited me zero recognition as a customer. I've been shopping from Lululemon for years, and even on their worst days, the service is better than this location. The pricing is about the same, but the difference is that the design is much more current, and the fit just goes above and beyond Athleta. I will pay $80 for crops that make me fall in love with the color and fit, but not if they are basic. My suggestion is if you don't look like you're from Edina, go to the MOA location, or shop online. My shipment is coming in a week.

So i tried to use it at this same location 2 weeks later and the manager was extremely rude and said there was nothing she could do for me since the reward wasn't showing up on my account. She was so unhelpful and unkind about it. The other clerks were nice and helpful though. They were uncomfortable with the way the manager was handling the situation. Never returning to this location. The manager doesn't know customer service and I never got my $20 off. I had $160 worth of things so it's not like I was trying to get anything for free. I don't recommend opening an Athleta account. Update: I called Athleta's customer service asking why my reward wasn't showing up. They told me that I would receive the reward in my next 1-2 billing statements. I told her that i already paid my bill online the next day so I wouldn't be receiving a statement. She told me and I quote "oh..then you wouldn't be eligible for the $20 reward." SO what Athleta is telling me is that if you have good credit and don't let the borrowed money sit in your account and build up interest then you don't get the $20 reward. What kind of scam is this?! Done.

I was greeted by a very friendly sales associate who assisted me in the purchase of two awesome new shirts. The staff were all pleasant and genuinely engaging throughout the sales process. Hammer Made takes a rather unique approach to their clothing in that everything they sell is designed by their owner and only made in very limited quantities. You can feel confident that when you wear one of their shirts you won't see five other people wearing the same thing!

Several sizes, fabric types, design styles and colors to choose from with all items (shirts, pants, shorts, bras, underwear and more). The cashier was genuinely kind. Her name is Anna and she was incredibly helpful and very kind in helping it so so much. The brand often has sales and those are great options for buying and coupons as well for a great price.

Seems like if a person is spending $300 on a dress (which some of them are), there should be some customer service. Went to Nordstoms just down the hallway, many dresses in various sizes, price points, styles and lengths. Customers service there was amazing, left with something I would not have imagined wearing.
