After a walk…read morearound Lake Harriet I was headed to the Bibelot and pulled what I thought was their door but instead grabbed the door to Grace & Co. So it is literally right above the Bibelot and next door to Sebastian Joe's. Karen Lang, the owner, greeted my girlfriend and I and she was very welcoming. You will find a variety of different gift ideas here by local artisans. I picked up a leather key holder but there are baby clothes, handmade jewelry, Muddy Mouth greeting cards, hand-stitched ties, Love Your Melon Beanies (that raise money for kids with cancer) and much more. There is also a great selection of refurbished and hand painted furniture. My girlfriend was interested in a dresser and mirror that was refurbished. I thought it was moderately priced and in really good condition. This place has some unique gift options. If you are in Linden Hills take a peak! You might find a treasure or two.

She owns and runs her own business, and she's small and local--and I want to support that as I'm a female biz owner myself. Stop in anytime for something thoughtful to accompany a card that will be on someone's fridge for quite a while after you give it. Warmly, Jen

I'm normally not much of a shopper (in person anyways) but I figured it couldn't hurt to stop in super quick. I had an event later that night and would just grab the shirt I saw in the window... WRONG. I spent lots of money in a small amount of time and now I'm addicted to shopping local. Help. Les Sól is the cutest little boutique in the Calhoun Isles and the owner I met was a gem. It's so fun to find places to shop that make you feel right at home. I don't think I was in the store more than 5 minutes before I found the PERFECT dress for my event and I was able to strut all around the store while everyone hyped me up. What more can you ask for in a shopping experience? I'm so glad I stopped in to Les Sól. The mix of brands, thrifted pieces, and fun accessories is to die for. Especially when the space isn't squished or overwhelming. Will *definitely* be back!

I was drawn to Les Sol because an event they had in December caught my eye! I brought my husband…read moreand a friend. The only downside to this place is the parking -- our first time coming was when it was snowy out and on a Friday night, so the parking spots were few and far between. Although the weather when I visited was snowy and dark, Les Sol lived up to its name and was so bright and sunny inside that anyone could've forgotten it was dark and wintery outside. Les Sol carries neat home decor, gifts, stationery, and clothing -- maybe more, that's just what I can remember off the top of my head. I ended up leaving with a few new CUTE pins for my jackets and am still thinking of some of the darling greeting cards and candles I left behind. The staff was soooo friendly and the shop decor feels like a party waiting to happen.

I'm so glad that there's an Anthropologie so close to home. The invitation for my company's holiday…read moreparty says cocktail, and my wardrobe is decidedly not that. Anthropologie is a reliable source for special occasion dresses. Classy, cute, sparkly, or tame, they have you covered. I lucked out today because they had a great dress in the size I needed, but if they hadn't, they're happy to order for you. Even if you're not looking for clothes, stop on in--they have some of the cutest housewares, and there are stocking stuffers for everyone on your list right now.

My style is similar to what's on Anthropologie's mannequins. Slightly less girly, but very similar…read more I genuinely like this store, but don't like to admit it. Why? Because I'm a thrift-mongrel and I know that with patience I would find very close replicas of everything they are selling at Anthropologie at a sliver of the price. However, then I'd have to alter it and wash it four times to get the garage sale smell off of it... and everything at Anthropologie already fits and smells lovely. The clothing is adorable and much more unique than any other chain store I can think of. They have an unstoppable dress collection, incredible jewelry (look for sales) and flattering denim (love J Brand). It's also a nice place to look for cool blazers to wear with jeans (my typical work ensemble). Be prepared to drop some change. Cheapskating doesn't cut it at Anthropologie, which is why I've only purchased a few special things here. It's hard for me to turn that cheap gene off. The quality is much better than its little sister, Urban Outfitters. Even though the price tags will make you go blind, you still periodically have to weed out some poorly made clothing and those fabrics that never look the same after they've been washed. If I'm paying $140 for a sun dress, it better look good on my granddaughters. As for the housewares section, I look at the clearance, but I know I'd be tempted to buy the regular-priced home merchandise so I stay away from it. I have more patience and self control when it comes to finding housewares at garage sales and estate sales than I do with clothing. The saleswomen at Anthropologie in Edina sometimes they seem a little flustered, but when the store is quieter they will spend a lot of time helping you pick out the right size and bring you extra things to try on when they think something will look good on you. I don't always appreciate that kind of semi-intrusive service, but it's nice here because there's so much to look through that I miss things sometimes. For now, I have to be content with window shopping and the occasional splurge. If I ever make millions (and/or have less time to thrift), I'll be looking exactly like those mannequins every day.
