I stopped here as part of the Indie Bookstore Passport tour, and was struck by what a great…read morebookstore and gift shop this was. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and asked about what bookstores I've traveled to so far. The store is very close the Bde Maka Ska lake, and would make a great stop if on a bike ride around the Minneapolis lakes. Today, I drove and didn't have a problem finding parking on the street. The bookstore specializes in Native American voices and handmade arts. The interior of the store is really interesting to look at; there's a handmade canoe hanging from the ceiling and lots of handmade crafts throughout the store. I think Louise Erdrich, who is an author I enjoy, owns the store.

This spot is a nice fix closer to home with super cute home decor made out of found objects and antiques. I found most of their prices spendy, but I am more of a do-it-yourselfer/ crafty type. I still found lots of great ideas! I even bought an old pill bottle and have a list of a few other items I will go back to get, budget willing. My Mom got a peony type flower made out of old sewing patterns! Super cute! Our other fave ideas were old coffee carafes as planters and Ball jars painted metallic! They also have the old-fashioned milk paints for sale or for classes which antique wood nicely. Definitely check this store out!

This is a Crystal lovers dream. They have so many materials and pieces- from large tables to small…read morepieces. They have tumbles, specimens, jewelry, and so much more. They have geodes that you can buy and cut open in the back yourself! The staff is all so sweet and kind! Expect to spend at least 1hr looking at everything. I feel the prices are good. I bought a nice piece of green tourmaline that was $10 with the stand, some fun crackle quartz (dyed material), and a fun rainbow/iridescent piece (I forgot the name). They have Libyan desert glass ($10/g) and moldavite ($30/g) if you're looking for that.

The space is beautiful and you don't know where to look, there is so much to delight. I was particularly impressed by the owner, who didn't flinch when I asked him for a moderately priced dinosaur something for a young friend. He immediately knew what to show me...dinosaur poop, all shined up. Now, the young friend was delighted, of course, with the copralite, but even funnier was my accompanying story of the quest. Untold treasures, beautiful calm space, extremely knowledgeable owner = superb, one of a kind shop. Go!

Moved to California 30+ years ago and every time I'm in town I gotta take a peek and do that whole nostalgia trip in my head-if only the walls could talk, OH MY! I love the creaking floors as you walk across the showroom remembering those sounds heard in the basement packing my own orders to ensure in stock items were shipped. The cast of characters that visited and cool musicians- one day Devo came popping through handing out 3-D buttons with those flower pot looking things on their heads and strange jumpsuits. "It's not too late To whip it Into shape Shape it up Get straight Go forward Move ahead" This trip, my daughter and her fiancé came through-my daughter wore my old Electric Fetus company jacket. Old school blue satin-like with my name, embroidered and a beautiful logo with pussy willows or something embroidered on the back. True classic. The nice staff was very friendly and enamored with the jacket and the manager took some pictures which gave my daughter a huge tickle. I think the cat's name is Bob Fuchs and he's been there since the late '80s and a good ambassador of the brand and so kind to indulge us.

It makes you feel like you could do or wear anything. And their clothing selection matches that feeling with lots of colors and patterns and styles of clothing you won't find anywhere else. When you walk in, you'll be assaulted with floor to ceiling displays of toys in the best way possible. I could see how it could be overwhelming for some, but I loved it. Felt so magical. I stopped in while in the area to get some ideas for holiday gifts and ended up getting my auntie gift duties done here. It's a very large space spanning three different areas, with the areas categorized by theme/age. You'll find everything from plushies to puzzles and everything in between here. Truly so many options for all ages (even those harder to shop for tween/early teen ages). I found some adorable play kitchen items for my 1yo niece, and some sweet dinosaur and car toys for my 3yo nephew here. It's refreshing to see toys- like actual TOYS- available for kids to play with, rather than screens. This place was utterly packed to the gills with stuff, from floor to ceiling. Plush snakes and hoola-hoops hung from the ceiling like streamers and decor. I spent a long time wandering slowly looking at it all, but I truly doubt I saw everything in there; it'd be almost impossible to. Lots of plushies, educational toys, craft sets, slime kits, knick-knacks, stickers, candy, construction toys, trains and planes and emergency vehicles, coloring materials, puzzles, books, etc. I can't possibly name it all. You're just going to have to go see for yourself. Some of the staff were busy unpacking more boxes of stuff and finding places to put it all. Two different team members went out of their way to ask if we needed any assistance and were friendly. The bathroom was clean and has a diaper changing station if you should need. We were fortunate to be there in the middle of a Tuesday, so it was fairly quiet. I can only imagine at other times of day, kids would be tearing around in here loudly and excitedly (I daresay understandably so).

we got my now wifes engagement ring here. we were looking for a specific brand and they just so…read morehappened to carry it. having never even looked at engagement rings in person yet this experience was great and fun. they were super responsive via email when my wife was asking questions before we went in. when we did finally go in they remembered her and were ready to go with the items we were looking for. they didnt push us to spend above what we wanted or make us change our mind. they made us feel like the decisions we were making were the right ones because they were the ones we wanted to make. they also answered all our questions and follow up questions that we had when we got the ring. they overall made the experience one we will always look back on and have great memories of. the only reason i wouldnt give them a 5 star rating is the box we got with the ring wasnt exactly what we would have liked. it didnt feel as special as we thought we would have got and we werent the biggest fan of the chocolate brown box for the engagement ring. wished we could have had some say in that. other than that though i wouldnt hesitate to go back here and make another purchase.
