We had already decided on the cruise we wanted to take, and we had booked it separately. We started to put together what we wanted to do on the land tour, and doing the planning on our own quickly became overwhelming. We looked at several websites that offered travel arrangements and we decided on Alaska Tour & Travel. Mostly because the Best of Denali & Kenai Fjords Tour 120 offered a variety of activities and things we wanted to do. It was an even bigger bonus to find out that we could make alterations to further enhance our tour. Even with those alterations, they were able to put the journey together in a seamless manner, leaving us to just enjoy Alaska without the worry of how we were going to get from one destination or excursion to the next. From start to end, Alaska Tour & Travel was there to assist us and keep us informed as the trip progressed. This was so comforting and made our trip very enjoyable. With the planning services we received, we can't say enough good things about Alaska Tour & Travel. We both highly recommend Alaska Tour and Travel and will use them when we plan our next trip to Alaska. We would also like to give a shout out to Kala Jenkins and Skye Smith for all the work they did for us. Thanks for a great Anniversary!

From the first phone call to actually booking the train ride to Seward and booking our hotel through them, it was a very seamless transaction. The train ride was absolutely beautiful and fun! The whole family enjoyed it tremendously! It is so worth paying the little extra for the Gold Dome ride as it is all inclusive with drinks and meals. We went round trip which included breakfast, dinner and 2 free alcohol drinks going and coming back, plus all the non-alcohol drinks you want. We of course had Bloody Mary's in the morning which were the best! All of the train personnel were courteous and most professional. We highly recommend Alaska Tour & Travel to anyone wanting a splendid vacation experience! Thank you Alaska Tour & Travel for everything!!

He showed off Anchorage in the very best way, and he's got awesome, interesting stories. Highlights: * We saw a moose in the wild, almost immediately! * The land is just stunning. We got perfect weather and, again, a fantastic guide. * Brooks totally pampered us - brought everyone cold waters, tons of snacks, and a comfy, pristine van to ride in. * Overall I'm uncomfortable with penned animals, but the conservation center has a pair of rescued brown bears and a trio of black bear rescues, and it was cool to see them and learn their stories. Wishes: * Wish people could be grouped by level of preferred activity. We had the bad luck to book at the same time as some folks from a cruise ship, and they didn't want to walk anywhere, spend time outdoors - they even made us skip lunch and come back early because of their cruise timeline. That was a big bummer.

We were picked up at our hotel and whisked off on an adventurous day full of rich Alaskan history, comic relief, amazing views, plenty of time for pictures, and so much more than we could have ever asked for. Alaska is absolutely beautiful. It was great to be able to hear so many interesting facts as well as background on each town, glacier, or area we passed. There were snacks and waters for all guests, which definitely came in handy! 10/10 would recommend! Would love to come back in the spring or summer and take another tour.

Being a passenger on a cruise ship we had limited time, so we opted for the 30 minutes Local Seaplane Tour. The owner and pilot Chris, checked and fueled the plane since we were the first passengers that day. After a quick explanation of the safety systems ( life jackets and the like), setting up the headset with mic and after helping us with the seatbelts we were almost ready for takeoff. He contacted air traffic control, did a few rounds on the lake to warmup the engine and then we were airborne. This was the moment we came for... an exciting though smooth takeoff. During the tour Chris would tell us all about nature and wildlife and show us points of interest by tipping the wings down for a better view. We had a smooth landing on the lake and he made a quick "water splashing turn", which was really nice! We want to thank Chris for this wonderful experience, which we will never forget! Just one question... is it a sea plane, a water plane or a boat plane...? Frédérique

We had to pay a cancellation fee but we did cancel the morning of the flight so that was only fair. Our friend went on the tour without us and got close up videos of the bears swimming and diving (???). So sad we missed it but wanted to leave a review for the Ellisons and to say thanks.

They called me back a day in advance to review arrival times, the itinerary, and what we needed for clothes, food, etc. We arrived a little early and offered coffee or spring water and a very comfortable seating area after we checked in. Our first day we were flown in a 10 seater for about 2 hours to a village called King Salmon, I believe where we were transferred to a 10 seater pontoon boat that flew us to the Brooks area of Katmai. it was a spectacular day of watching the bears feeding off the salmon at the falls. After spending much of the day exploring the park and taking a cultural tour we were flown back to Anchorage. The pilot was extremely knowledgeable of the history, geology, and geography of the flight and made a deviation to circle the volcano crater of Mt Spur. The next we arrived again and then escorted to another building where we watched a film on bear safety and then fitted with water proof boots for walking thru the waters to view the bears. we were flown in a smaller 6 seater plane (just 5 passenger) to Katmai NP where we watched bears digging for clams in several locations. A most excellent lunch box with our choice of a sandwich, granola bar, assorted chips, apple, and a tasty pasta salad and beverage was provided. At the end of our tour, we were flown back to Anchorage. The staff including Anna-Lynn, both pilots, Dan & Abel were all super customer service oriented (something sorely missed to frequently these days). I obviously can't say enough positives about this operation.
