She never made me feel rushed and this was my first visit. The front office never said their office was on the 2nd floor despite being on the phone with them to get their correct address. When I finally arrived, instead of being helpful I was told to move away from the front and complete the pre check in at the seating area.

I ended up switching to his office, because my previous primary care provider refused to even consider giving me a prescription to address anxiety issues, even though I had a recommendation from another healthcare provider. Dr. Rodriguez listened attentively and addressed all of my concerns. He really takes his time with each patient. Dr. Rodriguez is now part of the MdVIP program, so we switched to PA Heather and PA Jerry. Heather has been great. She is really good at presenting all of the options available for treatments and even puts stickers on my lab results. Overall, I recommend this office to my friends all the time.

Yes he has a loud voice which I find is just part of his outgoing personality. He always seems happy to see me. I get results faster than any doctor I have ever had. I love the staff they are nice and understanding. They take the time to research and explain and answer any and all questions. The office is old school which is comforting. It is not dry and sterile. It is welcoming. Dr. Ochoa always takes the time to see me personally. Not all doctors do this anymore. I feel I made a great choice and am extremely happy with him.

I've called and left messages of major concerns with their answering service and office personnel and never received a call back. Bottom line, I always feel worse after I leave his office than before I went in. If you have a good sense of self, see someone else.

He's had horrible staff during times and good in fact awesome at others. I don't know if the medical care system has changed. I don't know. But months out from appointments means one of two things or both. Either you have too many patients or not enough staff. No matter. And this is kind of common here in San Antonio I've found. Tried to find a doctor taking new patients. 5 months out. THAT is not health care. I can't 'plan' every event with my health 5 months in advance. People get sick and need to see a doctor fairly soon. 'Go to the ER' is the answer. Then the ER gets clogged up to people that really need it. So I just become part of the problem. But for me, for as long as I've been a patient, I don't' care how many patients you have...it's about loyalty and trust me, I've stuck through some bad times there as he's gone through some horrible staff. And I see it. I didn't say anything but I saw the damage being done. I just can't do it. I don't feel like I can accept that for MYSELF. Love the man. He saved my life long ago. I have been under his care for over 10 years. the location is farther but I would travel it anyday the portal for messages is great with a great turnaround time and Dr Lopez cares about his patients. I trust him 100% that all my family has switched over to him as well. The staff has been great as well and quick to respond since we all work and our time is limited. Dr Kempf is willing to go above and beyond to find something out if it's out of the ordinary, and has been very friendly and helpful. EDIT 29 Nov 2016: Apparently, this is no longer Satmed Medical Clinic. It is Ascend Family and Wellness Care. Our records were switched to the new place, and we never knew until I called there. Thankfully, the staff was great, very informative and patient. Also, Dr Melissa Kempf no longer works here. I will update more if we stay with the clinic.
