A layer of grease quickly built up on the top of the hood itself and the cabinets and the appliances in the kitchen 3. leaks of the conditioned air through the fan inlets- a big waste of the electricity and gas. I used to put a piece of paper to block the fan. It cuts the PG&E bills big time. But it is messy to take off the greasy paper when I need to cook. 4. hard cleaning job- the whole range hood collected greasy. Also the oil collecting pan is made of fragile plastic that had cracks and been leaking for years. All the problems got solved by my new Fotile range hood. The certified 669 CFM is so impressive that I saw the fume from my pan getting sucked in like a cloud- nothing visbible escape. My bedrooms upstairs used to smell the cooking. Not anymore. The whole house smells nothing after cooking, even in the kitch near the stove. I think the well-designed capture shield plays a big role besides the sucking power. It closes when the hood is off. It perfectly keeps the conditioned air locked in. I think this is quite genious. Besides, the hood surface is made of glass. It feels modern and sleek. I found the glass surface is much easier to clean than the painted metal on the one I had. And above all, it is quiet. At speed 1, 2 and 3, only a low humming may be heard. It goes a bit noise at the speed 4, the max. speed. The installing went very smooth. The technician was professional. He wore clean room booths, and covered the stove area. He did everything to keep my house and the working area clean. He also went over the operation with me after the installation. I am very happy with this purchase with Fotile. The knives cut so much better now, and I'm sure I'll be back in the future. A few notes - the gate to the backyard is in the cul de sac (not the main street that the front door is on), so when you send the text letting them know that you've arrived, they'll meet you at that side gate. They only accept cash or Venmo. They don't give you the final price or pickup time until the work is done, I think because William needs to assess the knives. I had a specialty vegetable cleaver that I needed repaired and sharpened. It had been used by someone to cut something they shouldn't have and there was a nice chunk missing. What j I appreciate it is that they did the repair in a manner that maintained the integrity of the Knife when they could've just had their way with it. I wouldn't have known the difference. Since I was focused only on purchasing a vanity, I tried my best not to look at all the other products they carry, such as floor tiles, wood floors, bathroom tiles, shower fixtures, toilets, mirrors, shower doors, etc. So much to look at!! Richard helped me with my questions. He was knowledgeable and patient. He showed me comparable products around the floor then put my order together. Most items are in stock! That's great!!
