The installers were very polite and professional The measurements were a little to tight but that's on Joe.

Stopped into Lombardo's on a Saturday was told after we paid the cost of the granite we picked out,…read moresmall job, that I would get a call the following Monday for them to come out an measure it. No call Thursday called several times left messages and again Saturday no answers so left VM. No call back so called today someone answered the phone connected me to the guy that was supposed to come out and measure the job. He said he was never told but asked if I was available today between 4-5PM.... guess what no and it's now after 6. Called the place at 530 left a not so happy message and of course no call back. Lousy customer service I agree once signed on the dotted line. Tempted to go elsewhere and cancel the order. A simple one countertop in the laundry so we will see tomorrow what the excuse is for the no show nor call.

We originally had picked out a tile from another store here in our area, but stopped by Lombardo's…read moreat the last minute and found a long plank wood looking tile that they were closing out, which was priced far more competitively. They delivered the tile and we had 70% of it installed before trying to clean it. Upon cleaning, we noticed a film on the tile that would not come off as well as marks on the tile where the plastic packing dots were put between the tile for shipping. We called Lombardo's who immediately said that "since we had the tile cleaned (professionally) that the warranty was voided" and there was nothing they could do! We were shocked that by cleaning the tile it was automatically our fault. We asked them to please come out and look at the tile and they flat-out refused. We told Lisa at Lombardo's that we still had tile in the original boxes which were not installed and still had the marks on the tile and that we would bring it into them. We drove in and she wouldn't even come out to talk to us! I could hear the customer service person talking to her and she kept saying that she can't do anything and they need to talk to the owner. I finally walked around the corner and said, Lisa, you knew we were coming in, why won't you talk to us!? She finally came out and we showed her what was on the tile. She said we'd have to come back when the owner was in, even though he just drove off and knew we were driving in. We asked that he please call us when back and of course NO CALLBACK. Throughout this ordeal their customer service was HORRIBLE. Their prices may be good but if you run into any issues, they will not proactively call you back. We finally resolved the problem on our own after consulting with another professional but I would not expect any customer service should you run into any issues. HORRIBLE!

I had a large square plastic planting container, 25" high, 14"x14" at the top, tapering down to…read more12"x12" at the bottom. Filled with dirt, it would have been somewhere around 100 pounds - hard to move. 6" from the top, however, there was a 1/8" ridge that went around the container. Four 13" long slats attached together to form a square, lifted up from under the ridge would catch it, making the square a kind of handle, and the filled container much easier to move. In short, that was the job - to create or obtain four such slats and securely attach them together to form a square. (I thought metal braces on the corners would also be needed, but Rick said no, that nails and glue would do the job. Also, as I would be keeping the container outside with the wooden square around it, he said the wood needed to be treated for the outdoors. He also said the wooden square could be angled, so as to be flush against the container (for more secure contact). Rick was pretty amiable. He asked for $200, then laughed; he was (maybe after seeing my reaction) joking. I offered him $40, he wanted $60 - which I thought was high, but the angling might not have been so easy, I was at his shop with the container, and I didn't want to take the time going some other place. (In hindsight, I should have texted him a photo of the container and spoke to him over the phone.) Also, the angling he spoke of might not have been so easy. Aside from that, he was a small businessman, that can be tough, and I don't mind giving such people a good deal. But I do expect them to do what they say they are going to do. When I came to pick up the square, it was not angled. Nor was it made with wood that was treated for the outdoors, but was the indoor furniture wood he had in his shop. But the killer is this -- the joints connected with nails and glue, but with staples - something that, with respect to wood, I had no experience with. I asked him how long he thought it would last; he said about 10 years. I asked him twice if the price was still $60, he said that it was. I paid him and took the square. After about 5 to 10 uses, with the container only half full, a corner of the square gave way. I texted Rick a photo of that corner, and asked him if he stood by his work. He has made no response. I am not surprised. What surprises me are the positive reviews (that appear on another website. If they are legitimate, I would expect that they are from repeat customers of whom Rick wants to remain in their good graces. Clearly, as a likely one-time customer, that wasn't me.
