Having eleven guest we found the table seating very cramped still to the point that guest were elbowing each other, it would have been nice if the restuarant had another table allocated for us just for more space. I ordered the Dizi (Abgoosht). It came with a soup that was a bit greasy, yogurt, pickled sides and a stewed lamb. It was well cooked but I wish the food was seasoned a bit less. Some of the kabob ordered by another guest made of ground beef was an oversalted hamburger meat in shape of kabob...it was not impressive. With our large party I thought it would be interesting to comment the restaurant automatically applied 15% tip. I would give this another try but perhaps not as a big party. It's also interesting to note none of the servers were not Persian. Salamati!

Tip#1: Add a bit (or a lot!) of Sumac seasoning (dark red powder in the shaker bottle) onto your kebob meat. It has an almost sour fruity taste which really balances out and adds an unique edge to the meaty kabobs. Tip#2: You'll get small packets of butter that you're supposed to mix & melt into your rice. //APPETIZERS// We tried their Maast-e Saadeh (yogurt dip) with Persian flatbread, Zeitoon Parvardeh (olives), and the Kal Kabob (eggplant with ground walnut & pomergranate) which was my favourite and quite sour. //ENTREES// I tried the Kubideh and Jujeh (Chicken Breast) Kabob, which were both delicious and juicy. The Kabob-e-Torsh veal sirloin meat was too tough, while the the pomegranate walnut molasses was interesting to try, know that it's quite sour too! I also substituted the rice for the salad which was too overdressed with vinaigrette. //DESSERT// My ABSOLUTE favourite thing we had was the Saffron Rosewater Ice Cream. It's beautifully plated and has the perfect balance of creamy, floral, and sweet flavours with crunchy pistachio & pomergranate seeds. I would come back to Sheherzade literally just to have that amazing Saffron Rosewater Ice Cream again & again!

When I eat Persian food I like to think of eating in the way I did at my grandmother's house, with a bunch of different food on the table. I don't think I realized how hard this was to do until I tried to cook it myself, so going to a restaurant like Darvish makes this entirely possible in a way that is too hard at home! The Ghormeh Sabzi is good, and of course a must order, the Fesenjan very flavorful, and though I make mine with duck, that's okay. The kebabs are all good and flavorful, and every table has sumac on it because that's what you need to eat the kebabs! We had some Mast-o-Khyar, shirazi salad, and kashk-e-bademjan as a starter with some great barberi bread. Each appetizer was great, the persian beer with saffron was good, everything came together so well. The three hours flew by as we ate, drank, talked, and enjoyed every dish brought to use. By the end of the meal we were surprised at the time and excited for some tea and saffron ice cream. No Persian doesn't finish a meal with tea, so you must! I cannot wait to come back here, from Tahdig to Ghormeh SAbzi it's a hit, and from a price point it's a really good deal.

The setup is functional and somewhat cozy and seems like they cater mainly to the delivery crowd. Consistent flow of take out with a few people dining in. We shared an appetizer combo. The eggplant dip was very good. Hummus being decent with dolma being an acquired taste I feel. I didn't try the salad. I went for the combo of chicken and lamb kebab. I wish I had looked and chosen the bread and rice option as I can only eat this type of rice so much. The kebabs were very good with good quality meat and letting the meat shine with light seasoning. Service was courteous and they were accommodating as well for a person in a wheelchair. I enjoyed my meal and will return. They are somewhat close by and I do enjoy grilled food.

We were seated at the sidewalk patio which was the only space we could sit with a dog. Water was offered to him by a waiter right away. We chose a shared plate package because it was a versatile combination (appetizer, main and dessert plus Persian tea), just perfect for giving my friend a taste of Persian cuisine. The highlight of our dining was waiter's smiley face every time we mentioned we loved the food as if we made his day. Truly, this food was nourishing and healthy and yummy. I was grateful for being able to have my dog with me, but because he still has to work on his manners, next time I'd rather enjoy a lovely atmosphere without having to guard such good food. The eggplant, pomegranate, saffron, etc. just to name a few lovely ingredients. And a cup of Persian tea to seal the deal. My biggest joy was my friend enjoying our visit to Herby. It was truly a Persian treat for both of us!

This place hit the spot. We got a family pack of 4, which came with a ton of proteins/meat, salad, stews and apps. We chose the eggplant and spinach dip and oh wow, the bread that it came with was addictive! As we were a group of 6, we also added the tava kebab and it was flavourful and added a different flavour profile. Such generous portions, they even offered us an extra skewer of protein on the house, which was so nice of them. We also ordered the saffron and pistachio ice cream and Persian baklava cake to finish off. It was really quiet on a Monday evening when we were there so we never felt rushed at all and got to take our time and enjoy our meal. Highly recommend. They deserve more business!

This place expanded my horizons and how I view persian cuisine. I already knew persian cuisine was great because of the flavorful kebabs, but this adds a whole new level of appreciation to the cuisine! I'd definitely highly recommend the Jujuni, its pretty sweet but we paired it with the bread and its really satisfying. We found ourselves wiping the dish clean, always wanting one more last taste. The braised lamb is so tender, as soon as we picked up the bone the meat immediately fell off. It was cooked to perfection, and the rice was really rich and had all sorts of fun textures because of the added components. As we were ordering, once the waiter found out this was our first time at the restaurant and we weren't sure what to order, the owner came and explained each dish to us and gave us recommendations based on what we were craving. Really personalized experience and a great intro to persian cuisine for those who have only have kebabs and koobideh before this.

I love how they flavor their koobideh and how tender/juicy it is. I was VERY hesitant in trying their chicken koobideh as I've never had it before and because I know their beef koobideh is amazing but I was so glad to try them out. At the end of the meal, it was hard to decide which one I liked more. They were both amazing.
