Although the sunset scene was visible from the rooftop, the other buildings looking West of the skyline prevent you from being able to watch the actual factual sunset. Rating this little gem a 3/5 for simple reasons. Namely, the drinks are incredibly expensive, no less than $16/each. The sunset view that is most commonly what I seek in a rooftop bar falls short having no view of the sun as it sets behind the horizon. There is also no food. Positives are that the drinks are made well. I saw the bar tender pick mint from a potted plant on the roof top and mix it in his drinks, have never seen that before. The atmosphere is casual but sophisticated with only a small number of seats, limiting any large groups. This keeps it pretty intimate throughout the evening. Oh! And the bathrooms are fabulous!

The views are pretty good and there was decent seating, but the overall space probably only holds 30-40 people comfortably and felt crowded during the dinner hour. So much so we were standing without seats when our food arrived. The grouper sandwich had great toppings, but I hate when places leave the skin on. Especially when that skin is soggy/chewy. The broccolini was really good, so worth the upcharge. I really loved the drinks. Definitely recommend the smoky cabin!

View | Drinks | Chicken Sandwich View: One of the best views in Omaha. You have an unobstructed 270 view of the city. The main view overlooks Creighton's campus and the subsequent park. You get great sunsets here. Therefore, it is an ideal date spot. Drinks: Probably one of the most diverse cocktail menus in the city. There are other places with "More drinks" on the menu. But, the 20-25 drinks on the menu vary greatly. Especially when you mix the view with the food - this is one of the unique drink spots in the city. We both liked the smoke in the cabin drink. Monica had the spicy tequila drink as well - which had a kick. Chicken Sandwich: The chicken sandwich is in the top 3 in the city. The chicken is crispy, but the meat is tender. They come with two sizeable pieces of boneless chicken thighs. They are so large that you could ask for two additional pieces of bread and have two sandwiches. Therefore, bring your appetite. Also, they come with fries that have an old bay or cajun taste. Pro Tip: There is not a lot of space. There are about 8 seats at the bar and 24-30 additional seats. That's about it. And if all seats are filled, the space is a bit tight. Therefore, be earlier rather than later. Pro Tip: There is a restaurant with a similar menu on the property's first floor. Therefore, you can get great food and drinks downstairs if the upstairs is tight. Pro Tip: Ask for their house-made BBQ sauce. It has a unique flavor that is worth a try.

This was the first rooftop bar I've been to in Omaha and I must say, it didn't disappoint. The Peregrine is a beautiful little hotel with this hidden, rooftop gem open to the public not just those staying at the hotel. DRINKS : In terms of drinks, I wasn't blown away but I also wasn't disappointed. I got a gin, lemon, and club soda with a bit of syrup in it and thought it was nice and refreshing! My husband got a coke and captain and seemed to like it just fine! The menu is pretty small but you can order your own drink special if you want to and they'll happily do it! TIPS FOR VISITING : I would definitely recommend getting here earlier in the night around 6:30/7 to snag a good spot especially if it's the weekend, otherwise you'll be out of luck considering the space is pretty small. I would say the space is 900-1,000 sq. Ft. so it's definitely not spacious, and if you get here when it's full, well, you're just out of luck. They have a variety of seating choices like high top tables, beach chairs, sofa / comfy chairs, and bar seating. SERVICE : Service was great under the conditions, they were just completely overwhelmed for the demand placed on them. They weren't walking around asking for your order or picking up empty drinks, but they really just didn't have the capacity to for how many people were there. I felt bad for them, I could tell they were stressed! I wasn't bothered by it because they were super nice, if anything I just wish I could've helped them! It gets breezy up there so it's not unbearably hot in the summertime! Overall this is a great spot to have a nice drink with friends and enjoy a beautiful night.

The ambience is amazing, service was good it was just kind of packed for how little the rooftop bar is, just a little expensive but for sure worth it.

Great views and drinks. As said before, drinks are WAY too expensive, but that's nothing to do with the bartenders. The one female bartender (Amber) was EXCELLENT while I was there. Extremely polite, gracious, and professional. It's a small, quaint place to just hangout if you have nothing else to do while you're in the hotel or while you're waiting for dinner reservations somewhere. Honestly, it's just cool to be out in the sun and cool breeze and just drink a beverage of your choice. Nothing special, just nice. In my opinion, there really shouldn't be any reviews of anything else because you should know what you're getting when you come here.

Takeoff is one of a kind in Omaha. Being that we aren't a major city, our rooftop options are typically only a few floors up, but Takeoff offers stunning downtown views on the 8th floor of the Peregrine Hotel. We were lucky to be here on late September day with clear skies and pleasant temps - we visited twice, once right at opening (5pm), then again around 9. As others have commented, it does get breezy. We had no issue finding seating, but the space is small and I could see this filling up quickly during the weekend. The cocktail menu has a more tropical focus with a lot of their craft options being rum based. Service was friendly and attentive - even letting us grab a drink from the lobby bar and bring it up to enjoy the views prior to official opening time.

I was determined to visit this place after hearing that there was a new rooftop bar in town. As most people who live in Omaha know, there really aren't that many that exist. The ones that do exist are pretty fantastic, and this bar is no exception. It is located downtown at the rooftop of the beautiful Peregrine Hotel. The decorations are nice and trendy, there is a decent view to look at as you sip on your drinks. They have a great selection of beers, wine, and delicious cocktails to choose from. I had a glass of Pinot Grigio to start with and then a Mai Tai to follow, and both were delicious. While they do not serve meals, they do have some snacks that you can order if you're hungry. If you plan on visiting, keep in mind that they have limited hours and are only open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 5pm to 1am. It's definitely worth checking out!

It's a beautiful spot in the city to have some drinks. The cocktails are a little pricy, but the atmosphere is amazing. Everyone should check it out at least once.

This is interesting, so you walk in the hotel get in the elevator and goto the roof to get to this bar. I am pretty sure this is kinda meant more for hotel guests instead of off the street patrons. It is small like other reviews have said. We are talking like 50' length by 20' width. 75% of it is probably covered where the barbis actually at and the rest is wide open. You will get a great view of First National tower and trees in the distance. Its not a 360 degree view.

Gorgeous view and great bartender. With few rooftop bars in Omaha, this was a downtown treat. Will be back soon.

Terrible! The service was lacking. The wine was rancid in a plastic cup... we won't be back.

Yes, it's changed some - but pretty much all in positive ways! Loved the music and vibes. The bartenders were friendly. Drinks were crazy cheap by Vegas standards. As an older guy now, the most surprising thing was how many college-age straight-ish folkz there were (can't know for sure, of course - but that's what it looked like) It warms my heart to see how friendly, open, and accepting that crowd is. Keep Leading the Charge, Omaha! That being said, I feel that we're losing spaces where just gay men hang out. I miss the sexy, cruisey, brotherly vibe of some of the old haunts. Still, it's a fair trade to see so many ages, genders, and presentations all having fun together. My husband - who is born & raised in Las Vegas - where we live - said "Why do I have to travel to Omaha to hang out in a really great gay bar?!" WTF, Vegas?! Times change, but The Max is eternal!

It is a large dance bar with several dance floors and bars, as well as an outdoor area to sit with a fountain. The location makes this spot difficult to find parking/etc., but most people Uber here which works out fine. We went to the large dance floor to the right of the door and had a good time in a huge crowd, dancing to pop hits from ~10 years ago. I was surprised that this is a cash only spot--we were not prepared so didn't have too much on hand. Overall the drinks were fine--they often overpour, but my biggest complaint was waiting at the bar for about 10 minutes of while we watched others come and go--getting served before us. My guess is these are regulars, as we probably stuck out quite a bit in nicer clothes that we came from a party in. Other than a long wait the service was fine. The good thing about this spot is how unique it is--definitely feels like you are not in Omaha anymore! I can see how a lot of people enjoy the vibe, but it is just not my spot with the music too loud to understand anything, and people bumping into you at every angle. Still a decent location for an after party type thing on occasion! I just wish the bartenders we saw didn't pass us over for other guests for so long.

We first visited PaC at a Yelp event, but now we are hooked on their popcorn! The cocktails portion of Popcorn and Cocktails is nothing to sneeze at either. They are super smooth and flavorful, and the perfect pairing with a little side of popcorn. They even have pairings on their menu that show you which popcorns go best with each cocktail (and each cocktail actually comes with a side of that popcorn). If you like your side of popcorn that came with your cocktail, you can also purchase a large bag of it to take home! Our favorite popcorns have been the French Toast, Bourbon Bacon Cheddar, and Peanut Butter. They have popcorns for every craving - savory or sweet. And the cocktail we've liked the best was the Summer Peach - which literally came with a peach candy on the rim! So easy to drink and a little sweet.
