He did manual work on my back, an adjustment and gave me exercises to follow up. This is no 5 min crack, snap your done type of care. His hands on approach to caring for his patients sets him apart. He is truly a geek at heart and is always learning new things. I love his Developmental Kinesiology approach. Not only did Dr Deppen care for me, but I sent many of my massage clients to him when they had a pain issue beyond my scope. He gave healing care and got great results every time! I even recommend my best friend to him and he help her 9 month old daughter crawl correctly before she began walking with the Vojta technique. Now she is 18mo old and climbing up slides backwards (no joke!). If you have a mechanical pain, back or otherwise, do yourself a favor and go see Dr Deppen!

I am so appreciative of Erik's work yesterday. After lifting heavy furniture and a physical job my…read moreneck was full on angry. Muscle tension was setting off migraines/dizziness and between migraines I had a constant throbbing in my right temple and jaw from referred pain. My right shoulder blade ached and my upper back was tender to the touch. Exercise/heat was giving me temporary relief but the pain would return as soon as I stopped. Erik got me in last minute on a Saturday and used his expertise to work magic. I felt my head and jaw pain melt away. My shoulder tension released and the spots that were initially exquisitely tender to the touch became less sensitive. You can feel that Erik has a skilled touch, firm pressure that works its way along the path of the muscle giving it time to release. This is not just someone dropping an elbow into your back to cause pain. When I woke up this morning for the first time in a week not in pain I thought "Erik is my hero...I must write a review".

My husband and I have been getting massages from Erik for several years now, and I can say without…read morereservation that he is the best the is. I've been to a lot of spas, a lot of fancy hotels, and I've never had body work that makes me feel as healthy as I do after a session with Erik. He is a great communicator and listener--he starts every session not on the table, but sitting in chairs, asking questions about how your body is feeling so that he can understand what needs attention, and how to design the session. I love the fact that it's never the same experience twice--he really does construct a unique session each and every time. His is not a "spa" location--so if you're looking for a sauna and steam room, or an expensive line of lotions and potions, this is not the place for you. But if you want a massage that inevitably leaves you feeling a couple of inches taller at the end, then run don't walk to Erik's table.

You felt like part of a family. Staff knew you were in pain, and they shared the same kindness, patience and understanding. Things have been very different since the staff turned over. The practice makes sure you are in and out as quickly as possible. You feel rushed. Doc says very little. His adjustments feel mechanical. He has no interest in having a conversation. He stopped listening. He goes through the motions and you're on your way. Staff is running the practice as if it's some kind of med spa. There pushing these different devices that are more like cosmetic treatments. And boy are they pushy, pacifically the one older woman on staff the billing clerk. Good luck with that one, especially if you are a female she will make sure you are rushed through your adjustment. If you aren't interested in the cosmetic procedures they're pushing as med spa treatments, expect to be treated poorly. This used to be a solid medical practice dedicated to caring for there patients. Now it feels like all Doc cares about is making money. Doc no longer cares about making people feel better. I expect more from someone who is treating me when I'm most vulnerable, when I am in pain and I am suffering. Just because I have been injured and can't afford fancy med spa treatments, I don't feel like staff should be looking down on me. We miss the old staff, and we miss the old Doc. It's a shame Doc is only interested in making money now. A once great medical practice has been ruined by vanity and greed.
