Arancini. Deep fried creamy ball of rice with marinara sauce and parm cheese. Hot, crispy, and delicious.

The prix fixe menu is the best $29 I've ever spent on food. This is Tuesday to Friday and Sunday, after 5pm. It's a 3 course meal of appetizer, entree, and dessert. There is quite a few items to choose from. I got Arancini, trout, and tiramisu. There are "starch" options to choose from for the main entree - I got the risotto. Portions were large enough to make me very full. The food was excellent. The service was also good. Dark dining area at the front of the restaurant makes this ideal for dates.

Loved the experience of dining, The place looks neat and clean, though a bit noisy since everyone talking could not hear the music playing. The Monday Thursday three meal special we picked was good. So we tried 4 different dishes and 4 different deserts. All together it was a nice experience. Yeh waiter was completely awesome explained us about the menu and about the place Very humble and polite.

Very pleasant!! Splendid and attentive service. Lovely meal. Excellent drinks. We went here based on a recommendation from an Italian Canadian associate who said it is one of her top three favorites in the city. In short, the food was great, only marred by the odd use of cheese on the scallops, which made their taste and texture foreign. Not bad, just odd. The lobster cakes were beautifully subtle and perfectly sauced. The tenderloin tips were the smash of the evening and packed with flavor. Worth a return trip on their own. Also worth a return is this restaurant's old fashioned. They do it well. Rarely does one see a Canadian restaurant excel at cocktails (mostly due to conservative pours), but this is a success. The space is pleasant to a fault. The bar is beautiful and screams for some stools, and some vibrancy. They have made a decision to pursue a particular kind of clientele, it seems. Perhaps older, perhaps more conservative. If that's the case, I respect it, and they seem on track by keeping the bar area "under wraps" as it were. But it saddens the place and adds a pall to the already low lighting. The super friendly, energetic and charismatic wait staff are bright enough to keep things going out front and the folks cooking up the wonderful food in back really brightened my day, but that last star could be won for zinging up the atmosphere one more notch. Near perfection guys, near perfection. Can't wait to return!

    Don't skip the crepe.

On the drive here, I thought our GPS was lost. Don't be deceived because this place is a gem. I had the fillet and prawns with macaroni and cheese. The fillet melted in my mouth, and was cooked perfectly medium-rare. The macaroni and cheese was so flavorful and delicious! I'd want to try other things on a different visit but, it would be really hard to pass that up. For dessert, I had the crepe. Oh. My. Gosh. It was the only thing I took a picture of, unfortunately.

Crepe included with 3 course special.

There was a 2 top table at the back that we were seated at - we could have sat at the bar also - and it was a great spot. We ordered the tasting menu and WOW, every course was amazing. I'll post pics because the presentation was gorgeous for each item. They have a small cocktail and wine and beer selection, but that was fine. My son got their Shrub Mocktail and I got the Shrub with Sake. Both were delicious and so interesting. I can't pick a favorite item because they were all so good, but the Torched Mackerel and Poached Bosc Pear were tied for #1, followed by the Salmon, Oysters and the crazy good Blood Orange dessert. The shrimp toast was just ok for me, not bad, just not as good as everything else. Additionally the service was outstanding. For a tiny place they did everything right. They explained each course, brought out fresh utensils for every course - YEA! - and made sure we had good pacing. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly and enhanced our meal. I really want to come back and try the oysters and some of the tinned items. I'm so excited I found Mink and will be back for sure.

They start you off with a petite loaf of savory garlic bread that is complimented with a creamy dollop of real butter. Of course we enjoyed the bread with a mint mojito and a glass of cab. Now the mojito wasn't quite sweet enough for my taste but the wine was crisp and flavorful. The lamb was the absolute best lamb we have ever tasted. The meat quality was excellent and the chef cooked it to perfection. Melt in your mouth and seasoned to perfection. The risotto was cheesy and the asparagus was fresh and crisp. The portion was large and a great value. The salmon was also perfectly cooked. The lemon balanced the dish out with the seasoning. This dish also came with the risotto and asparagus. I can't even say enough about the service! From the greeting at the door to every server who assisted our table, simply excellent We finished our evening splitting a creamy, sweet crème brûlée. The meal was $147 US and worth every penny and more! Don't sleep on this place! You won't find a better date night restaurant.

Just a fantastic dinner this evening with colleagues…read more Before the Detroit Pistons game, we got together for a nice, casual, seafood dinner as our own version of, "pregaming". Starting with the maître D, carried over to both the waitress and our table server, everyone was polite, courteous, and very attentive. Looking over the list of appetizers, we went with the calamari. About 10 minutes later, it showed up and as it turned out, the portion was good for the four of us. The calamari was not rubbery, but prepared exactly how you would want it. It has a bit of a kick to it, but not so much as to be overwhelming. Before the calamari they brought us a bread basket with four types of breads for us to dip into a bowl of delicious tasting sauce. Because this was a pregaming event, we had to include a cocktail with our dinner. Two of us went with a Woodford reserve old-fashion made to perfection. There's quite a few choices of entrées to choose from and being this is a seafood restaurant I went with the servers recommendation and chose the "Dover". As part of the experience, they fillet the fish right in front of you. A nice touch. The fish was out of this world good. Flaky white meat, with enough there to fill you up. Even with the filleting experience, they did miss a bone. But that happens. No problem. With a choice of sides I went with the steamed spinach. A rather small portion, but it was very good. For the price you would've expected more. Beautiful view of the water looking over towards Canada. If ever in town again, this is a place I would return to.
