Always get a quote for repair services before having them do the work. The oil change was fine,…read morethe transmission fluid service was fine, and the two tires were fine. They are professional and gave me good pricing. The quote for future items, the brakes quote was fine, the Serpentine belt servicing quote was fine. The problem I have was on a quote for spark plug replacements. I am not even objecting to the labor price, (though, I am retired and it is 7 times per hour more than I ever made in my life), rather the price they quoted me on the actual spark plugs was 4 times more than the internet said they should cost, and being my vehicle is a 6 cylinder it was a tremendously higher price than the quote should be. I called them back and they told me they could not go lower, and that was the price. For that particular service I will go somewhere else. We are talking about a difference of around $400 quote on parts vs. what the internet says the amount should be.

I brought my vehicle to Mavis Tire for a routine tire rotation and balance. Shortly afterward, one…read moreof my wheels came off while driving because the lug nuts had not been properly tightened. The incident caused significant damage and a dangerous situation that could have been much worse. After months of communication, Mavis eventually paid my insurance company for the vehicle repairs. However, they have refused to reimburse me for the out-of-pocket expenses I incurred because of their mistake, including rental car costs and lost wages. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, but Mavis still declined to take responsibility for these additional expenses that resulted directly from their negligence. While the repairs were eventually handled through insurance, the lack of accountability for the full impact on the customer is disappointing. I would strongly recommend others double-check any work done on their vehicle before leaving the shop.
