I was cautious, but Alex's location on Google Maps was nearby, so I initially reached out. At the time, I couldn't get through, so I ended up going to another shop that diagnosed the issue -- but quoted me an outrageous price and told me it would take nearly a week to fix. Later, Alex followed up with a phone call and voicemail. I had already dropped the car off elsewhere but was still checking other shops for faster turnaround and better pricing. While I was trying to text the original shop, I accidentally messaged Alex instead -- which turned out to be a lucky mistake. He offered a far more reasonable quote, was understanding about my situation (I needed the car to get back to a outstate job site), and worked with me on timing. He had the job done in around 4 hours from his intial predication that he gave at the start -- right on target with the estimate he gave in my eye. Despite doing me a favor by fitting me in, he kept me updated every step of the way, even letting me know when a part he expected wasn't needed. He adjusted the final price accordingly -- since the original quote was based on a misdiagnosis from the first shop, which assumed my model had a part it didn't. Alex clearly knows his stuff. As I was preparing to leave an older member of the team approached me and asked me about the last time I had my different fluid changed. He went into a long explanation about how important it is and how often I should have it done. After checking my vehicle's carFax, he confirmed that I hadn't had it done before. He showed me every service that I had on my vehicle and continued on about how imperative it was to have it done. I'm all about proper and timely maintenance and I understand how it can extend the life of the vehicle. I asked him how much would it be. He said $109 and it will take 10 minutes. I was ok with that price although not completely sold on if I needed it right then. I thought about it and decided to get it done. When they were done, I was told by another crew member that my total was $233. I was confused and caught off guard. I asked for an explanation of the charges. i explained that I was quoted $109. She asked if I had seen the price on the screen. I told her I had not been shown a price on a screen, i was told it would be $109. She explained that it was $109 per axle. THAT WAS NEVER EXPLAINED TO ME!! I didn't argue with her, I actually think it wasn't fair of him to send her to ask for payment, especially since he KNEW he didn't explain the cost was per axle. It turns out, that since this Jiffy Lube is connected to a car wash, that they couldn't take my coupon. However, they offered an alternative, which they did not have to do. They completed my oil change in less than a half hour, vacuumed my floors, and even gave me a coupon for a free car wash when I left. I would definitely recommend this location!
