Wally World, Farm-n-fleet, and other assorted auto repair places gave me the sad response of "no ma'am we don't recharge AC". Dejected, I was going to give up and just sweat my way thru to the weekend, when I passed SSAR, and the bay doors were open! Taking a chance, I stopped in. I was greeted warmly by the receptionist and a very adorable shop dog who was happy to keep me company while I waited. They were closing but the owner Lindsey must have had had pity on me, because he worked on it himself. Absolutely no coolant left, so he checked it via vacuum, and put UV dye in to make sure there isn't a problem. Reasonable price for the recharge, and he went above and beyond my expectations. I think I've found my new permanent auto repair place!

This time I got charged $88.00!!! A 78% increase in Saturday. I'm going back proving the website says $24.95 oil change(she says she doesn't have Facebook or know about the website) and get at least my $38.00 refunded. If not I'll file a complaint with my credit union and the. The better business bureau. I fell bad but you can't do that. It's false advertising!!! For one, I had to reschedule an appointment three times to get my high pressure ac hose replaced. The first time, the Firestone in Springfield told me that I had to reschedule my appointment because they wouldn't have enough time to replace the part, even though the specifically told me the the given time would work while I was setting up the appointment with them over the phone. The second time, the Firestone in Springfield ordered the necessary part for my appointment, then sold it to another customer. The third time, the Firestone in decatur on Main street told me that they forgot to order the part for my appointment after thirty minutes of waiting. Then, finally, the part was finally replaced after over a month of appointments. I also had my radiator thermostat replaced by this Firestone, and they improperly bled my radiator system. One summer hit, my engine overheated constantly, due to the simple fact that there wasn't nearly enough coolant in my radiator lines. After a multiple hour long appointment to figure out why my engine was overheating, I received a call telling me that they couldn't replicate the overheating in my car, and refused to service it. While driving my car the next day, my engine was overheating out of control. I called this Firestone to see up another appointment, and I was told to take my car to the dealership. After doing my own investigating, I found that my radiator line was close to completely empty. Had the Firestone technicians taken off my radiator cap, they would have found this issue instantly. Overall, I've had my fair share of Firestone appointments, and I would recommend anyone to NOT GO TO FIRESTONE! No matter the location, even the second one in Decatur, they're all terrible.
