It is located in a shopping center, so lots of parking available. When you enter, the restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. He ordered the carne asada and I ordered a fried chicken dish with plantains (I've had at other Honduran restaurants but can't remember the name). Mi Bella Honduras made my dish very well - the portion was large and I liked that the chicken was on top of the plantains to capture all the flavor. The sauce was delicious too, almost like a Cane's sauce but Honduran. Great food and good experience!

For my drink I had a agua de Nance. Truly refreshing. The food was great but will say the pastelitos were my favorite, crispy on the outside and flavorful in the inside. The carne asada with tajadas was a tad overwhelming with all the sauces just on top and not evenly spread out throughout the plate. Meat had flavor so I think distributing the sauces evenly next time will be good. My waitress was very sweet and kind, I will be returning to try more!

I like their preparation for these plates, a bed of tajadas(fried savory plantain) with shredded cabbage/pickled onions and topped with protein. My plate would've been perfect if the base had more salsa with the tajadas and the chuletas were overcooked for my liking but still enjoyable. Other locations drown the food in sauce making it off putting so I appreciate how this restaurant keeps it light and fresh. I will be returning

Food: The food such the baleadas, pollo frito con tajadas,…read moresopa de res, and drinks such as tamarindo, horchata, and jamaica are alway delicious and well prepared. I have absolutely no complaints regarding how the food is prepared, its temperature, presentation or packaging. Service: As a proud Black, Honduran, Garifuna, Afro Latina woman, I expect nothing but the best from Honduran establishments. Unfortunately, I find myself often disappointed. We need to do better. Customer service is very important to me because where I spend my hard earned money matters. Businesses exist because business owners have an idea or a passion that they feel may be lucrative. In order to make that happen, the right team must be employed beginning from management. From the top to the bottom, there should be an understanding that you are here to serve your customers and not yourselves. It's a professional environment and an opportunity to earn a living wage to care for yourself and your family. NOTHING should be taken personally, leave your problems, issues, racism, hatred, and prejudice at the door or in your car before you walk into the establishment. If you can't do this, then serving the public is not the job for you. There's nothing quality about the customer service at El Katracho on Federal Rd. They need to be retrained by the entire staff at El Katracho on East Freeway and those that don't comply, should be released from their duties. Ambiance: The energy here is that of a night club all DAY long, lol. The music is so loud that it's difficult to hear when the staff is speaking to me and vice versa. I am soft spoken and I find myself almost yelling just to place a lunch order. This is too funny but makes absolutely no sense. I have never received a smile or a good afternoon, good evening, welcome to El Katracho...nothing! This is just basic stuff. My food always takes a very long time even when I call and place my order when I'm on my lunch break and need to get back to work. I haven't been back to this location ever since they opened up the East Freeway location and I'm so glad they did. I cannot honestly recommend this place.

El ambiente limpio y de familia por el día. First time here and I was overwhelmed this is not an original hondurean place . I bought $37 worth of food the fed 4 people . The banana was very crispy ,like potato chips, not like the original green bananas to eat with cream . Can't believe this place hasn't got more attention. It's one of about five or six amazing Honduran places we've eaten at in Houston so far.
