Orden de Yuca y Pupusa

First time trying it. Did pick up and it was amazing! It was freshly cooked and everything was delicious. Tried the popusas de frijoles, chicharrón y pollo. Good meal for $25

I promise it wasn't me that made the mess. Fine I did it.

Every guy I know wants to get their Cocina Latina and I am no different. I have had my Cocina Latina a few times in my life and it was always a thrill, and absolutely delicious. Now that I am semi-dating the porn girl (heels girl, etc, you know the one), I pretty much get my Cocina Latina whenever I want it. I'm a lucky guy. If you want to get your Cocina Latina, drop me a note and I'll hook you up. What to get: Pupusa Revuelta, Tamale de Pollo What else: Try all the Aguas Frescas What else: I tried to get my Cocina Latina last week but was accused of getting Fresca What else: I'm starting my own Puppy Rescue Company all across the USA. It's called "PupUSA" Cocina Latina is easily the best Salvadoran food in the city. It's actually among the best 3 Salvadoran restaurants I've ever eaten at. But not in terms of complexity of menu or service, not at all. We're just talking about price, here. What a f***ing steal this place is. There are other locations closer to the city, but none as perfect as this one, out on Club Creek. It's spacious and while food may take awhile to come out, it's worth it. We are talking about a city with hundreds of wonderful pupuserias all over the place, and this is the one that you should come to. I've tried dozens of the others, and none compare. Their revuelta pupusa is wonderful, and their Salvadoran style tamale wrapped in a Banana Leaf delicious and moist is second to none. In case you didn't know, Salvadorans make the very best tamales. Wrapping them in the green leaves causes them to be moist and juicy, rather than the more dried-out versions in corn husks. If you like, banana leaves are like Penthouse, whereas corn husks are like Huskler. And don't get me started on the wonderful red sauce and pickles that go with Salvadoran food. The red sauce here is probably the best I've had. It's more orange. Orange you glad I told you that. And again, don't get me started on the amazing collection of drinks. Seven or eight different fruit types, self service, all-you-can-drink, no refill charge, aguas frescas style. They have yummy Centroamerican-style Horchata. They have perfect pineapple, magnificent mango, mouthwatering melon, juicy jamaica, and many more wonderful drinks. Try a little of all of them to figure out which is your favourite. Bear in mind they're all very bad for you. Service is sometimes good and sometimes absolutely awful, but one thing you can rely on is that the prices will be bargain-basement bottom-of-the-barrel, ridiculously dirt cheap. And that your food will be sensational. For the people talking about "risking safety", yeah ok. Can Yelp get any more bougie? OMG POOR PEOPLE DID YOU BRING A GUN. Don't expect to be quick in and out because there's often a decent length wait time. Speaking of quick in and out, what are you doing for the next 15 minutes? Wait, are you from a Latin country? Yes!? OK good, in that case, let's go see about getting my Cocina Latina fix.

Place yourself in line to order. I ordered 7 pupusas revueltas and they were pretty good even though they came out a little burned. Good customer service and decent wait time. 7 for $10 wasn't bad. I'll definitely be back when I'm around.

Our server was super attentive and he made sure that everyone's food and drinks came out at the same time even if someone came in later. I had the nachos with beef fajita and chicken, and I thought it was pretty good, it has the same set up as nachos from Pappasito's and my only complaint was that I asked for a side of sour cream to go and was charged a dollar for it. So if anything keep in mind that if you request an extra or even a condiment on the side, you might get charged a small fee.

I feel like my food was probably sitting for a while because it wasn't hot. The omelette itself didn't really have any flavor nor did the potatoes. The most flavorful thing on the plate was the avocados and fruit. I didn't even really feel like it was an omelette. Looked more like a bunch of meat wrapped in an egg cover vs everything being nicely mixed together. I took it to go because I didn't want to throw it away there. The service was very slow. I'd say it took a little over an hour for me to get my food and some people in the group waited longer. One of the girls waited for quite a bit and then the waiter told her they don't have the item she was waiting for. Waiting 1 hr to be told your meal is isn't available is crazy lol Waiter was nice though and comped the other item she ordered. Overall, I'd say I wasn't impressed with Gloria's brunch for sure. Maybe I'd try them again for happy hour at their other location.

I went there due to seeing their instagram story about a $10 meal deal (2 pupusas, a pastelito, and a soda) but they had run out of pastelitos so I had to quickly choose something so I'm thankful that they were happy to help answer any questions. It's a small food truck located in the same parking lot with Fiesta off Paton and Cavalcade so there's no seating or real space to eat (unless you eat in your car). They're also honest about the wait time. They said it would take 15-20 minutes and they didn't go over their time estimate. I have only had pupusas a handful of times (I'm from a small town in WA state that only had Mexican restaurants since only Mexicans lived there, so don't judge ) and can say these were the best I've had thus far. They were freshly made and piping hot when I got them (I had to put the bag down from my lap because it was too hot) and remained so throughout eating them. The cheese was gooey and stringy and their salsa has a nice little kick to it. It wasn't greasy or too salty which is always a plus. I ordered the revueltas (pork & cheese) and added beans to them. They are HUGE so be mindful when ordering them (they also taste better the next day if you have any leftover). These were definitely worth the price. I would recommend this place to anyone who asks if I know where they sell good pupusas. Let's just say I'll be going in again (they're so close to me). I hope y'all enjoy.

Beware, they play loud Christian music. They have a small grocery store within the restaurant where you can find all types of Salvadoran products. I wanted a fruit drink and asked to try the cantaloupe juice first. It was artificial and too sweet. I'm glad I didn't order it. I was appalled when I saw the price of the fruit salad drink. It's $7.99. Who do they think they are? I inquired if they have a small size. They don't. I wonder how many folks purchase it. This is a low-income area. I got down to business and ordered a cheese and loroco pupusa. It was of course served with curtido (cabbage) and a tomato sauce. The pupusa was good but I've had better. The sauce was watered down. I would probably go back to have a pupusa if I'm in the area. But it's not my favorite place to have them.
