When we…read morefirst purchased this house, it was like a blank canvass and I was so overwhelmed on how to design our space. Given that it is a townhouse, we had some space restrictions and we wanted to make our home functional and yet cozy. These two amazing ladies came to rescue and gave me a vision on how to best utilize our space. They created mood boards for each of the rooms which gave us an excellent visualization on what type of furniture pieces we should get. They also gave us suggestions on how to best create a layout with photo frames and what type of furnitures would make our space look bigger! I would highly recommend this business to anyone who is looking for quality work and exceptional service.

They said we would need to find a good architect for our project and are actually the ones that recommended Dan to us! Our project was for a Dadu on the footprint of the existing 15x30 garage and some renovations in our tiny 25x25 bungalow. He gave us 3 3-D mockups of the front space and great estimates of how much our different options would cost. His design suggestions were incredible with a back addition to move our staircase to the basement (now more living space) flow through the back of the house and add a new glassed in room that is truly the best room in our entire home! He was also integral to selecting our contractor (we did NOT go with hammer in hand who quoted 4x the price of everyone else we spoke to). We wanted to do a large portion of the work ourselves and Dan was very knowledgable all along the process and helped us find the help we needed and answer questions as they arose. He is a massive walking memory bank of knowledge in all things architecture and building based. We could not have asked for a better experience...and have highly recommended him to others including our neighbors!

He gave us 3 different layouts to choose from, each with computer generated 3-D images of the finished product. He listened to our feedback and came up with a final design that met our needs exactly. As the construction progressed, Dan was there on site, supervising the contractors, making changes as needed. Thank god he was there to make the decisions that only someone with experience and expertise (not us) could make correctly. He has an excellent eye, a thorough knowledge of materials and resources, and was able to keep us well under budget. Even though we live outside of Seattle, he was able to network with local businesses and use creative solutions to get us what we needed. He has been in touch since completion to make sure everything went as planned and spoke with the contractors a couple of times to get them back and make the needed adjustments. All in all, a fantastic job!!

They repaired seriously damaged cherry cabinetry, trim, and stair railings in our high-end home and made everything look fantastic. We have a large house that, although beautiful, has some awkwardness in its exterior design in the back. In the front, more than half of our facade has natural stone with predominantly warm tones. And to make things even more complicated, the original acrylic window frames are stark white... In spite of so many limiting elements, Sarah was able to come up with a great solution to our problem. The new color scheme compliments the peaceful atmosphere of our property and, at the same time, adds a touch of timeless sophistication to our slightly awkward house. Aside from having obvious creative talent, Sarah is a great listener and communicator, and will do her best to incorporate your personal preferences into the final product. I strongly recommend Astute Adobe Design for any project that involves colors and shapes.
