If you're looking for authentic Latin flavor, this spot is the real deal! As a Dominican, I can confidently say the food here is como en casa. The freshness, the seasoning, the heart that goes into every dish--it's all there. The portions are generous, the prices are affordable, and the menu is extensive, so there's something for every craving. The pork chops? On point--juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. Paired with white rice and black beans (or frijoles) which was very rich and savory, comfort food like mom used to cook. The roasted chicken was tender and flavorful, and the beef stew--wow--rich, savory, and full of that slow-cooked depth that hits the soul. They were out of maduros (sweet plantains) when we went, but we ordered the tostones instead, and honestly, no regrets--they were crisp, golden, and the perfect sidekick to everything else on the plate. Bottom line: this place is a hidden gem, and if you're craving that true Latin home-cooked flavor, don't walk--run!

Rice beans and oven roasted chicken!! Yum

Stopped in as they were highly recommended. I can see why. The counter was full of fresh food. I picked white rice with pink beans and oven roasted chicken. It was delicious! I basically ate my whole plate. I also ordered a chicken empanada. It was a bit dry. I still ate it. I ordered a alcaparra. It was freshly made and so delicious. I don't live in the area. But if I'm ever back up there for work I will stop in.

From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel genuinely welcome, like you're a regular even on your first visit. The food is absolutely outstanding fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. And I have to talk about that green sauce they serve on the side... whatever magic is in it, I could seriously put it on everything. It's that good. To top it all off, I tried their tres leches cake and it was perfection, moist, rich, and not overly sweet, just the way it should be. Amazing food, wonderful people, and flavors that keep you thinking about your next visit. Highly recommend!

Also we went at night and the food was dry-ish, plantains were not fresh and yammy as u love them. Oxtail was dryyyy. Yukka (for extra $2) was dryyy. From the meat options we got the best was chicken, chicken in my (super salty) soup was perfectly cooked. Grilled chicken was great too, juicy with crunchy skin. Beans were cooked perfectly. Too much rice in every plate and not enough beans though. I really do t know if during lunch time all that food was freshly cooked and juicy and just got dried up by dinner time. I might give it another chance if I am in the area and super hungry, cos it was generously served.

After reading the reviews on Yelp and Google, it was clear this place was something special. About a 20-minute drive later, we arrived at Ingrid's Chicharrones, and we were immediately welcomed by Ingrid herself, which made us feel right at home. The space is small and simple, but don't let that fool you, the food and hospitality more than make up for it. Ingrid truly lives up to her reputation as a one-woman powerhouse. She runs the place with care and efficiency, and it shows in the quality of the food. Everything came out fresh and absolutely delicious. I ordered the mofongo with pork belly, and it was outstanding, so good I was already craving more after finishing it. A quick tip: half a pound of pork belly sounds like a lot, but it's not, so if you really want to enjoy it, go for the full pound. No regrets. One small downside: the place was very cold during our visit. They do have portable heaters, but it was still noticeably chilly. That said, it didn't take away from the overall experience. This is the kind of place you remember and look forward to returning to. Every time I visit my daughter from Atlanta, GA, this will be a must-stop. If you're looking for authentic Dominican food made with care and heart, this place delivers.
