I came in to have my retainer removed and decided to switch things up with a new hoop-style nose ring. Juniper checked me in and was awesome about walking me through my options. Gold clasp wasn't in my price range, but I found a really cute silver hoop with stones that worked for me and was within my price range. Then my buddy Zach took care of the actual switch--removing the retainer and putting in the new hoop. He got the size just right, and I absolutely love the new look! Hau checked me out, and once again, the whole experience was easy and fun. I really appreciate the entire team at Infinite. After all these years, it still feels good to walk in and know I'm going to be taken care of. Shout-out to Juniper, Zach, and Hau! Thanks for another great experience.

Their online booking system is easy, it's clear, and you have a general idea of what to expect from your appointment and the cost. Bookings are a few weeks out because they're quite a busy shop so plan in advance. The team is super friendly and greets you when you come in. It's a very welcoming staff and space. They walk you through the process, have you pick out your jewelry and sign a few forms, tell you the total price then you wait in their small waiting area until you get called back to your room. Once you get called back, their rooms are super clean and their piercers are very knowledgeable. They do what you need to feel comfortable, whether that's being walked through step by step of what's going to happen or going in completely blind. The rooms and materials are clean and they set you up for success for healing your piercing.

Called in advance to confirm availability because their website seems FUBAR for some reason, and I got clear friendly answers. i walked right over and got my nostril pierced. I chose the cheapest most basic type of stud, partly because I don't have a ton of money but partly because it's really what I wanted. With piercing, stud, saline spray it came out to just under $100, and I tipped $20 cash. My piercer was Andrew and he was awesome. He let me nervous talk my way through the process and be the generally nelly post-punk middle aged weird I am without making me feel shitty about myself, and did a perfect job. Ten stars out of five.

My boyfriend wanted to return the jewelry but the technician said that he couldn't, even though he asked a couple of times, because "you already purchased it." In short, don't come here unless you're ready to deal with unprofessional techs who sell you jewelry that you then can't wear because they can't keep their business promises, and then won't give you a refund.

The space is clean and welcoming and the staff is very friendly and honest about expectations for specific tattoos (ex: finger tats!!!). The shop minimum is $120 and they are cash only. They were originally done out of the country and had started to fade a lot, with one almost disappearing. I walked in on a Sunday around the time that they opened and was able to go straight down. My artist did a great job in a short amount of time. I will definitely return to Floating World for future tattoos!

I know…read morepeople go to great lengths to find a perfect artist and aside from finding a local shop with good reviews, I dove right in to Hunter Gatherer. Communicating through their site, I received a response quickly. They paired me with an artist and I quickly reviewed his work online. I knew quickly that my somewhat simple design (Picasso's Don Quixote), and all black coloring would probably be simple for Mike. Turns out, it was! I could have left a deposit and gone for a consultation first, but decided to just roll in and get it done. I'm an anxious guy and am older, so hanging at the tat shop isn't my norm! The front desk person was so kind and clearly loves their job. They paired me with an artist who went to art school, was a little older (sorry Mike!) and took the assignment to heart. He worked on me for about 2.5 hours and I still am surprised at how inexpensive the final product cost. Mike clearly explained aftercare and made sure I knew what to do and avoid. He also made sure to let me know that 54 year old skin heals differently than 20! A solid month later and I couldn't be more pleased with my tattoo. My other calve is itching for ink, and I'm excited to know where and who to go to. Disclaimer: I don't know shit about tattoos, but I love what Hunter Gatherer and Mike did for me.

I heard great things about this business years ago but clearly they have gone downhill. Both of my older nieces had their ears pierced and my sister had zero issues. That clearly has changed. First I booked this appointment on 10/3 for 10/18. I selected the 10am time slot. On the website, you have to select a time along with the day, even though the rules state that the time is not accurate. I'm not sure why they have time selection when they only promise the date not the exact time or even a time window. They should just have a date. You have to pay in full and prices are not cheap. I actually selected my mother's address in Philly because it was extra to have them come to the suburbs. That made sense for a business who travels. I went a week and a half before I noticed that my payment on my credit card dropped off. There's no option to contact them, but to use a little survey box on their website with your email address and message. I messaged them inquiring about my appointment because I saw that the payment was canceled on their website and my bank never processed it. I never heard back from them directly but the next day I did receive an email confirming my appointment and I saw that they had charged my credit card. Fast forward to the night before my scheduled appointment. I received a text from an anonymous number around 2 AM stating that my window for my appointment was actually 12 PM to 4 PM. The text message said that is when the nurse would be in the area of the address that I put in for the appointment. That annoyed me because even though I've read the rules, I still thought that because I selected the first appointment on that day, the window for my appointment would be earlier. I knew I just had a feeling that something was gonna go wrong but I was at my mom's house well in advance of 12 PM. The text message the night before it said that I would be sent a separate text message with an ETA during the 12 PM to 4 PM window. Around 345, I texted the number that had texted me the night before and said that I never received an ETA despite it being 15 minutes before 4PM. I received a response less than 10 minutes later stating that they apologize and will reach out to the nurse who was supposed to be servicing my appointment. That took another 20-ish minutes. I got a response that the nurse had car trouble and was waiting on AAA. I'm not following why the nurse would not reach out to me directly to tell me that she was delayed or wouldn't be able to make it. Why did I have to reach out because I had not heard anything for my ETA? Why is no one monitoring? I received a text that Offered me an appointment for the next day with no timeframe or anything just that there would be a nurse available tomorrow. Honestly, I still would not have moved forward with the appointment but why not clearly State my appointment time or that I would have the very first appointment tomorrow there was no urgency to accommodate a customer who was unsatisfied and who had been disappointed. Also a customer that had to reach out to the business first. I promptly asked for a refund ASAP. I should have read all of the review reviews on yelp before booking this appointment. I just had heard the rave reviews from my sister but I never considered how much older my nieces were and how fast businesses can go downhill. Please stay away!
