Our dog goes to doggy daycare there and LOVES it. The customer service is excellent. They all now our dog by name, and are so kind to him. Great products and dog food. They give treats to the dogs in the store, and that's how we found our dog's new favorite brand (Dr. Marty's!) They also have grooming services, and I've used them for nail cutting. They were great. They also do a lot of charitable work and give back to the local community. This is what buying local is all about! read more

Walked in and wasn't greeted at all. I brought the items I needed to purchase to the counter and stood there while two male employees (Feb 1, 2026 @ 3:30 PM) continued talking to each other as if I didn't exist. No acknowledgment, no "I'll be right with you," nothing. Continued to ring up the supplies I was purchasing and they only talked to each other complaining about their petty grievances in life the whole time until I left. Terrible etiquette. This is our wonderful local full service pet store. I have a little dachshund named Dahlia and we go to Tailwaggers for all of her needs, including food, toys, daycare and grooming. The owner and staff really care for us, and are really patient and loving. Dahlia is not an easy girl, but she trusts her caregivers, groomers, and the staff, which means a lot to me since she does not give her trust away easily. We also enjoy the community events that the store puts together for our neighborhood (such as the annual Holiday Pet Photo booth). I was having a hard time figuring out what my foster dog needed food wise for his transition to my home. Tim offered help and didn't make me feel bad for asking 10 million questions. Aspen and I come here nearly every day on our morning walk for a treat and socialization! He used to be so scared of being indoors around people, smells, and noises, but everyone here is so kind and willing to pet him that he warmed up so quickly! He even has favorite staff that he demands pets from. Yesterday was his first professional grooming with Jose and Alex at the grooming station. I was so nervous my dog would fight them the whole way since it took me 3 hours to bath my big Great Pyrenees the first time, and the poor guy was nervous and barking the entire time. But Jose and Alex were able to make him feel so comfortable that he didn't put up a fuss at all! They finished him in half the time and he came out a panting a bit but overall pretty calm! Both Jose and Alex are SO kind and friendly every time we visit, and they have both been more than happy to give me tips on grooming and grooming supplies. Aspen came out so handsome and I swear he knows it. I tried to take off his cute puffy necklace they gave him today, and he picked it up and brought it back to me to put it in him again. (It's under his mane so you can't see it). Also they gave him a corgi booty. Tailwaggers is among the new small businesses that opened in Larchmont Village that sells all things for pets; mainly dogs and cats food, snacks accessories, etc. Currently, grooming service is not available. The store was clean and organized with cordial and helpful staff. My furbabe Fendi and I met Bruce, the owner outside and he was super nice and friendly. Went in to have my 20lb Norfolk Terrier, Lady Lump, groomed at this location because my usual Hollywood (Bronson) location was fully booked. While I was appreciative of a last minute appointment, I was disappointed in the way my pup came home. However, when I calmly let staff know my thoughts, they (Wendy) went above and beyond to make things right. All the employees are well educated on all the food! I went tonight, and a lovely lady whose name I didn't catch helped me when I was trying to find my dog's specific brand of dog kibble. She checked the back, explained to me the situation (the dog kibble brand ran out of base mix, and all current bags are expiring in Nov), and helped me to call different locations to check if they had a bag available for me! I live within walking distance of Larchmont, so I'm always interested--and usually disappointed--when new businesses open on the street. Tailwaggers took over a key space, one that belonged to the neighborhood Blockbuster once upon a time. I'm very happy we got a pet supply store and not another make-up/candle/juice shop. Larchmont does already have a pet supply store, but the Barking Lot is a different kind of shop, small and cute with less inventory. Tailwaggers is an L.A. mini-chain in the vein of Urban Pet, and it carries tons of stuff, including a large selection of dog food. This is mostly what I go to pet stores to buy, and I was happy to find that Tailwaggers, now the closest one to my house, stocks my bassets' kibble. It also has free parking in its own lot--super prime on Larchmont--so it's made this regular errand of ours significantly easier. There's also a loyalty program that yields the occasional bag of dog food. The people are nice, too. Last time I went, the cashier let me know about the treats on sale (I bought a few bags--yea, I know he was making a sale, but the information was useful) and helped me load up my car after he rang me up. He also let me keep my car parked while I ran another quick errand (the lot still had lots of spots open, but street parking is always scarce, so this was a real boon). Anyone who gives me free, easy parking on Larchmont deserves my business. I'll be hitting up Tailwaggers for my future basset-related needs. read more

Took a random stroll inside one afternoon as I was in the area for lunch. The shop is small, but you go in to get what you essentially need or to browse. I was the browser. No itinerary on having the need to buy anything. I saw a package of little booties out on display and had been meaning to try little booties on my fur baby but never really researched them. Thought the size they had would work so I bought them. Tried them on at home and they were a struggle to get on and not sure if I got the right size, but they probably just need some time to get used to. read more

What a fantastic little pet store!!! I stumbled on this place today by accident! We were getting lunch in the area and saw that they had a sign for pet adoptions so we decided to stroll in to see some cute pets. An associate was inside the store and told me to let her know if I needed any help, so I thought I'd ask her about suggestions for food for my cat's IBD since I was there. I actually wasn't expecting much since my cat's condition is so complicated but actually the associate was so helpful and recommended me the exact kind of food I was looking for! I gave her lots of criteria: novel protein, not raw, no fillers, for cats. And amazingly enough she was able to suggest something and really seemed genuinely interested in helping me. I asked about another food brand but she said they didn't have it but could look into ordering it for me if I wanted. After I purchased some food and left the store, I got a call from the same associate who I talked to earlier who told me she was able to find the food brand I was asking about and ordered it for me! Seriously the customer service here is absolutely fantastic!!! They are so nice and so helpful and go above and beyond to help you. 100% recommend this pet store!!! read more

If you're looking for a quick visit, they do have dedicated parking! No need to hunt for a spot on Larchmont Blvd. The interior is fairly large. There's plenty of room for a wide variety of each and every product. But they only sell the highest quality of everything - you won't find grocery store pet food brands here. They have a range of foods from kibble, to freeze dried, to canned, to frozen. Any diet you're looking to provide for your pets, they can likely accommodate. They also have a great a la carte treat station where you can get duck hearts, bully sticks, and other stinky delicacies dogs love. I could go on, but what really keeps me coming back to tailwaggers (other than the loyalty program and excellent selection of products) is the friendly atmosphere and the feeling that the employees are truly happy to see my dog, even when she won't take their treats. read more

we live in the neighborhood and have gone in a couple of times every week. whenever we go, it's hard to get a help from the staff. they are dismissive and don't have much knowledge about the products. and even when they have no customers. they stand around without any attention to a customer. Also they gave a lot of treats to another dog while my puppy was waiting for a treat but mine was ignored until I had to ask for it! I thought it was heartless! As a pet store, how could they treat a small puppy in discriminating favoritism. They shouldn't be in business of caring pets. read more
