I have been taking my dog Zoey here since she was a puppy literally the first day she was able to get her paws to touch the ground after being fully vaccinated (yes, I'm that dog mom). I remember meeting the owner Gia from day 1 she was so kind and friendly with a smile on her face. I started taking Zoey here as just walk in nail appointments which are an incredible price $10 and then I eventually started to have her get a bath here which is also reasonable priced for LA. Zoey is a smooth coat Chihuahua and dachshund mix so doesn't need her fur cut. Over the years Zoey has been more on the spicy side which I feel extremely guilty about but she always gets taken care of. I'm truly surprised and grateful Zoey hasn't been banned. Truly thankful for Gia and her team here at Pour La Pooch. read more

Gia sets the bar super high on customer care. Our BillieJean hated to have her nails done but Gia would hold her and comfort her with the groomer. She's a geniuine sweet heart. Our other boy Binx can't wait to go play there with Justin. As soon as he walks in the door he's doesn't look back. read more

We had such a wonderful experience! I'm always nervous handing Coco over to someone since he has lost his sight, but the owner was so sweet, kind, and accommodating. The nail trim was quick, gentle, and Coco came back happy--which meant everything to me. You can really feel the personal care and warmth of this little mom-and-pop shop. We felt welcomed and treated like we mattered, not like just another customer. We'll definitely be back and are happy to support a local business like this. read more

So disappointed because I used to champion them so much amongst the neighborhood but now this place is inconsistent, terrible & aloof customer service and the store owner recently raised the prices. If we're gonna raise the prices, let's raise the service level too. It's a shame because the groomers themselves are wonderful and always do a great job on my dog but the experience is always overshadowed by the front desk and customer service. read more

Never again! I was told it would take 2-3 hours, it took 6 hours! When I picked up my dog and got her home, she was overheating. I called them to ask what happened as my dog was in distress, asked if she was allowed to go to pee, they claimed yes, and no idea why she was overheating. I had to place cold water towels on my dog, it took hours for her to calm down. Her ears were on fire and she was panting heavily. Something wrong happened to my dog while at this place. I didn't notice until a few days later, but apparently she was cut on the front of her neck and shaved in that area and had a bump on it. I will never entrust them again. If anything happens to a dog left in their care, owner must be notified. Now I understand why they took so long to get my dog. SIX F'n HOURS! read more

I've been coming here for a little over a year now with my little maltipoo, Poppy! She has addison's disease and I cannot even begin to express how grateful I am about how mindful and caring the entire staff is towards my girl. Grooming timing is beyond reasonable, the whole team seems extremely knowledgeable, and not to mention she always comes out looking her absolute best. It is the greatest comfort to know she's well taken care of at Pour La Pooch. Really such a fine establishment, could not thank the team enough so cheers to you guys!! Much love xx read more

I'm giving them two stars because they were able to fit me in last minute which I appreciated the experience they claimed to provide and I would've expected the price was reasonable. However, my puppy's ear was cut and still had blood on it after I got her back home and there was blood near her nose, where she was also cut. Mistakes happen even really bad ones like this however, when I asked how she was and if there's anything I need to know, they failed to tell me about this. These cuts are clearly visible and there is no way they did not know about them. I recommend you find another place for your dog. read more

Hi, I'm Rocco the Bernedoodle, and let me tell you--Pour La Pooch is the ultimate spot for a dog like me. From the second my dad drops me off, I'm treated like a VIP--Very Important Pup. The team is always so warm and welcoming, like they've been waiting all day just to see me. I've been getting groomed here for a while now, and every single time, I walk out feeling like a show dog. My most recent summer haircut? Absolutely flawless. They know my coat, they understand my vibe, and they make me look (and feel) incredibly handsome. Whether it's a light trim or a full grooming day, they always get it just right. Plus, the daycare? Amazing. I get to hang with new friends, chill out, and soak up all the attention. These humans really know what they're doing. I leave Pour La Pooch looking my best and wagging my tail like I just walked a red carpet. Five stars, two paws up, and one very good boy's approval. I'm so ruff'ing excited for the summer now read more

Such a great experience for me and the pooches. A couple days before Thanksgiving, Mini and Mia went in for their first grooming. Based on the reviews, I felt comfortable giving them a try. I am so happy that I did. Walking in they were welcoming and thorough with understanding what I wanted. When I got there later that day to pick them up, Gia was super easy going. When she brought Mia and Mini out, I expected Mia to be her typical above average socially anxious pup. But she was only a quarter of what she usually is when I pick them up from a groomer. First time ever she wasn't standing at the door waiting to get out. Jorge did an amazing job on their cuts for their first ever visit. I'm a fan. I am super appreciative and hopeful that this will be the beginning of a long happy relationship. Look forward to their next haircut. Absolutely recommend checking them out. read more

Oh Man, I read a lot of theses posts . Gia as an owner, clients can get really bad . But In all our cases she said we all took pictures and lied to her. "Who talks like that" my message today .... They told me they put muzzles on each dog. If I knew that , no way would I ever go there again, make a point to tell others . They didn't disclose this to me . Did they to you? This is what her shave her for the summer it's been , what 3 weeks her hair had a part in the middle when we asked to leave it 2 inches... read more

I was in LA for business and needed to have my dog bathed immediately. Although they were booked up they understood my predicament and squeezed her in. What a great place with wonderful caring people. Recommended them to my LA peeps. read more

What a gem!! Baxter is a sensitive boy and hates getting groomed. He really doesn't like anyone touching his paws or ears. Thank goodness for the staff for keeping him calm and letting Jorge do his magic! From the moment I walk in, Gia greets Baxter with pets and love. He is able to relax and even walked in willingly! When we return we have a clean, coiffed and happy pup! Thanks again PLP! read more

I've been taking my pup there for several years, only for a nail trim. He hates coming in, he resists with all his might, so much so that I'll have to carry him in. For all his hesitation, he's always comes out with his nails trimmed and tail wagging. There's a fancier grooming place that just opened on the same block, but I'm choosing to support a small business that's been a part of the community for years. And $10 for just a nail trim is a good deal. read more

I have been to groomers all over the city for my curly 3.5 year old poodle mix - Tailwashers, Petco, various other independent places - Pour La Pooch is by far the best! Best pricing, same week appointments usually available, kind and highly skilled staff. My dog always looks great after a cut, and they pluck his ears as well. I assumed it would be pricey given the location and boutique feel and am still kicking myself for waiting so long to give them a shot! I'm a loyalist now! read more

I get my pup's nails trimmed and filed here regularly and it is a great experience every time. My dog is a little high energy, so it takes some skill to get him to sit and endure a nail trim. The groomer does a great job, my boy never has any trauma or anxiety from the service (which has been an issue elsewhere). I am extremely picky about who and where I bring my fur son, and it is extremely important to me that there is personalized attention and service. With so many corporate chains springing up everywhere, it is so nice to find a business that is owned and run by an actual person, not an executive board. If there is an issue, I know I can communicate directly with the owner and not have to work up a chain of command. As a small business owner myself, I value the quality of care and professionalism you get from a well established business with years of experience, and with the owner personally involved in day to day operations. Quality of service in my book outweighs fancy corporate marketing every time! Thanks for being my friendly neighborhood groomer ! read more

THEY WILL KILL YOUR DOG! I rarely write reviews, but I had to save other dogs. be careful! They made my dog severely sick twice! I met 2 random people at the pan pacific park and they told me the same thing, their got very sick after getting groomed there. They don't check for vaccinations or treat the dogs with care. The owner is an absolute dog hater, I could see it when I was there. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR POOR DOG STAY AWAY OF THIS PLACE! PLEASE TRUST ME ON THIS! read more

We been taking our miniature schnauzers here a few times, but today was sadly the last time. We asked for a traditional schnauzer cut as always but today when we picked him up he was all shaved without our approval. Their excuse was that it was a very busy day and they thought we gave them the approval to shave our poor schnauzer. The guy at the front desk had the audacity to lie to my face and say he got the approval to shave my dog and then he said he looked good! Are you kidding me?...Also, they cut my other dog last time and I let it slide and didn't say anything but from seeing other people's review I see that they do this to other dogs. Very unprofessional, and should have communicated with me. Gia was very sweet and called and apologized for what happened. I do also understand that accidence happens but I was very unhappy and in chock when I picked up my little shaved dog today. read more

I've been taking my baby to Pour La Pooch for almost 4 years and I absolutely adore them. Stan is a very anxious poodle mix and he always comes back happy and healthy from his grooms. Gia is the sweetest and they are so accommodating and loving - their passion for dogs is obvious. Their pricing is more than reasonable and the job they do is exquisite. They listen to what you want and they are always the first to let me know if there is any issue with my dog's health that they saw (he's prone to ear infections and they always point out if they see one starting). read more
