We took our four-year-old dog, Scout, to Taggs K9 for the "Mind Your Manners" program, and the experience has truly been transformative for both Scout and us as dog owners. Scout has always used a harness and was a chronic puller on walks. He is only 12 pounds, but the constant pulling was frustrating and made walks more stressful than enjoyable. I first contacted Ken in early November, and from the very first phone call, I was impressed. He was incredibly informative and honest, explaining why the harness might actually be working against us and how "unearned freedom" at home, such as jumping on the couch or sleeping in the bed, can contribute to behavioral issues. He did not judge. He simply educated. His professionalism and clarity immediately put us at ease. Ken fit us into his schedule right away for an in-person assessment. During that consultation, we saw firsthand how skilled he is with dogs of all sizes. Even with a small dog like Scout, Ken handled him confidently, calmly, and respectfully. What really stood out was how quickly Scout responded to him. Ken did not just train Scout. He taught us how to communicate with our dog in a way Scout understood. We signed up for the Mind Your Manners program on the spot. Ken introduced us to the slip lead and taught us foundational commands such as "Let's go" and "Uh-uh," along with the difference between being stern and having what Ken calls "cookie treat energy." He was patient and clear, correcting us when needed and explaining why certain techniques work. We realized we had several habits to unlearn, but Ken never made us feel embarrassed. He made us feel empowered. After that first session, we left with a clear plan and the confidence to start practicing at home. The second session was truly groundbreaking. Ken introduced us to Heather's Heroes "Sidekick" leash, which is a slip lead combined with a gentle head halter that goes over the dog's snout. Scout was hesitant at first and was unsure about this new tool, but Ken was extremely patient. He gave Scout time to adjust and showed us exactly how to guide him with calm and consistent cues. Within the hour, Scout was walking right beside us without pulling, sitting when we stopped, and responding to new commands such as "Place," "Woah," "Heel," and "Come." We practiced these new skills at home and quickly noticed a transformation. Scout went from a distracted and stubborn walker to a dog who stays by our side and listens. What we appreciated most about Ken is that he did not simply train our dog. He trained us. He showed us where our habits were confusing Scout and gave us the tools, structure, and understanding we needed. His professionalism, patience, and ability to explain concepts clearly made the entire experience outstanding. Taggs K9 did more than improve Scout's behavior. They improved our relationship with him. We highly recommend Ken and the Mind Your Manners program! Thank you, Ken!

Ken and his team at Taggs have been instrumental in my life by teaching me how to be a better "Boss Doggy" for my dog Coco. Coco monster as Ken lovingly deems her is my spicy Jack Russell Terrier (aka terror ). I enrolled Coco in Taggs Canine Clarity Board & Train program for 21 days so he can work with her on her extreme reactivity, nervousness, aggression as well as provide her the structured routine that I lacked prior to this program. While Coco was in this program, I got regular updates on her progress from walks to working on reactivity in public areas as well as training on resource guarding. Coco is now back home under a pretty solid routine and she even loves her treadmill time which she gets 2-3 times a day. It will be continue to be a work in progress to maintain all of Ken's teachings but it will be worth it in the end as my relationship with Coco has changed for the better. Ken taught me to be a more confident leader and how to use the training tools especially the leash as a communication tool to Coco. She's still her spunky JRT self but I have a better handle on her through Ken's guidance which has been vital! It's really up to us as the doggy parents to put in the effort to be better owners by understanding our dog's psychology, breed and not to project our human emotions onto them because that energy confuses them! I've learned a lot from this experience especially from Ken. You can see he truly cares about all animals and he really bonds with each dog he boards & trains. I highly recommend Ken and his team for your doggy training programs!

I highly recommend TAGS for all your training concerns as they're very professional and got my dog to do things other trainers in Vegas did not. Trustworthy and very kind people. I felt my baby was safe and loved. A++++ establishment. Thank you

I searched for the dog trainer on Yelp and saw Ken and Simone is one of the best in town, and Actually They ARE, let me tell you, i explained to them that we need help with dogs training because we will be on the road for the next couple months for RV, and they took us immediately, explained to use what we should and should not do, give us extra time to train with dogs, go beyond their time to make sure we will be train in every aspects and situation that might occurs when we are traveling on the road. We went from in doors training to park training, make sure we are under control of any situation might happend on the road. And always tell us to contract them if you have any questions, they will answer in mins. Love their enthusiasm in their work's ethics. I love how they always answer all questions with love and clear information and explanation, if already recommend for my family member and will do to all the friends that need their services, which is i would said the BEST in Town. If you need door training, this is the ONE .

    Walter in learning mode.

I adopted Walter in January and he is a big German Shepherd. Since he was not a puppy, I was skeptical that I would ever get him to walk on a leash without dragging me all over. Taggs K9 taught me and my old dog new tricks. Walter is finally getting the hang of leash walking, and I learned how to be a good leader. I especially like the idea of not bribing the dog with treats to get him to do what you want. I learned a lot at Taggs. Just remember, you and your dog don't learn everything right away. You need to practice all the time and listen to the trainer. I highly recommend Taggs K9. Maggie M

We have a Dutch Shepherd puppy (yikes!) so we started her training with Taggs' in-home 1:1 sessions. Over 5 weeks Taggs' not only helped train our puppy but they trained us how to effectively work with our little terror. The trainer (Kat) was patient yet firm and was able to teach our girl basic puppy obedience. They use positive reinforcement to encourage good behavior and our pup now sits, comes, stays, heels and doesn't counter surf! They are reasonably priced and the results are worth it!

We are so grateful for Simone and Ken and their guided expertise! The lessons in both a private and public setting were a wonderful learning experience as they provided us with tools and fundamental techniques on leash manners. Walks with our furbaby are much more enjoyable now :) since we have not only gained confidence but have also established consistent, healthy boundaries and routines. Thank you Taggs Town/K9!!

I took my puppy to their board and train for two weeks. I had a lot of fears prior to taking my puppy there: are they reputable? will they hit my dog? will they sell my dog? and so on. They surpassed all my expectations! Kat and Ken are very kind, dog loving people! They reassured me many times that my pup, Ziggy, was in good hands and after dropping him off the first day, I had zero doubt they were going to prove me wrong. Kat stayed in constant contact with me (when she wasn't training) and sent me many updates throughout the day and evening. They post all their daily training on Instagram, so I got to see Ziggy's process from day 1 to day 14! My pup learned a ton in a short period of time. He learned sit, down, place, come and let's go. He also learned to stop jumping up on people and other dogs. He was 5 months at the time of training, so he still has a lot of crazy puppy behavior in him, but that should be expected as he is still a PUPPY! They give you tons of tools for you to keep training after the boarding is over. So it's really on the dog owner if the dog will keep being successful because Kat and Ken do their job! I highly recommend them!!

The first day we met her she acted like a wild horse lol

Ken and Kat are amazing at what they do. They've helped us tremendously with our great dane Iris. When we first got Iris, she was uncontrollable, to the point we weren't even able to walk her safely. From the first day of training she showed immediate changes to her behavior, and with consistently training her on our part she has greatly improved on her behavior and our self-confidence in handling her. After an accident, we belive her training helped us, when she got lose and escaped to the street, but when she was called she came to me when I called her. The training was worth every penny. Thank you Taggs K-9

My little dog Willow just spent 25 days with her while we were out of town for a summer vacation and I just cannot say enough good things about Rhonda! I was incredibly anxious about leaving my dog because we rescued her less than a year ago, she has a lot of anxiety and fear, and we'd never left her before. I actually cried when I dropped her off! Rhonda was so caring and loving - she totally understood my difficulty and assured me that Willow would be okay. She kept in touch with me the whole time, sending lots of adorable photos and videos. Willow actually blossomed while she was there. She became more socialized with both other dogs and her new human friends. She's a new dog! Rhonda even bathed her before I picked her up so she was smelling sweet. I will never take Willow anywhere else for boarding, and I will recommend Rhonda to all my pet-owning friends!! The staff does an incredible job caring for and watching over our dogs--they truly take pride in what they do. We've tried other doggie daycares in the past, and this one has been by far the best. Our pups are naturally very nervous and not big fans of people, but the team here has consistently gone above and beyond to build trust with them. Because of that patience and care, our dogs now look forward to their camp days, and we love being able to see them playing on the cameras. I feel completely comfortable recommending this place as a safe and caring environment for your pup. I know how difficult it can be to leave your babies in someone else's care, and this team truly puts our minds at ease. We genuinely enjoy this place and will continue to use their services.

I'm a bit iffy on this place. Why? So I have been to a few of the daycares around town. There's a…read moreparticular style of daycare that I don't find to be very stimulating for dogs and this place kind of fits that format. While it is convenient for me, when I watch the cameras, it looks like the dogs are just wandering around like zombies. Usually other daycares have more interaction with staff. There's maybe one staff member to like 15 or 20 dogs. The other thing is I'm not entirely sure they actually understand dog behavior. Because a lot of the dogs are restless and have zero structure, they don't have great socializing manners. My dog is an intelligent breed who will correct dogs who are rude or in his face and it gets tiring for him if he's doing that more than the staff. So when they told me that they had put him away because he was air nipping at dogs, that was strange. I've never had a report of him having behavior issues. Now if they had told me he seemed tired and needed to be to decompressed, that's fine. Maybe it was the staff's wording. And why she needed to report it to me I don't know because that's just a normal part of daycare and dog behavior. So after reading the reviews I did see instances in which dogs that are being aggressive to begin with or annoying aren't being corrected and then when the dog goes to correct them, which is dog etiquette, the dog who asserts boundaries to protect themselves gets punished? That to me shows a lack of understanding about dog behavior. I've watched the webcams at other daycares, and staff know how to separate dogs or to keep things from escalating and know when it's appropriate to put a dog away in a crate for a little time without making the dog feel bad or without making the owner think there's some big issue. I'm trying to gauge whether he actually likes going here. He comes home tired but not looking happy. And whenever we go there in the morning, he tends to whine, which he doesn't do at the other locations we've been. So this one will probably start getting rotated out of his daycare choices for the week. But on the positive side, I do like that they have a little events for the dogs or special treats and get your permission. I just don't feel very confident that it's anything more than just like a room full of dogs all walking around in circles. Like at least interact with them a little bit? Maybe add another counselor or two per group? Make me feel like everybody is taking classes about dog behavior and understand different dog breeds and how dogs are meant to interact? Also the webcam never seems to work very well. I'll watch on the phone or don't even try to watch on the laptop and it goes in and out but at least they have a webcam because barx parx doesn't. And there may be people and dogs who love this place or love the locations in other parts of Las Vegas but for intelligent breeds, I just don't think this place is very stimulating or matches well with his needs. Maybe this is just what happens when you take a bunch of dogs regardless of personality and throw them in together. Dogs have different play styles and some dogs are annoying to other dogs. But here, it just feels like a major free-for-all. The staff are mostly friendly, but maybe also communicating different things to the dog owners in a different way would have probably avoided me feeling less confident about this place because now I'm worried about who my dog is with during the day. If you don't know dogs, that's kind of concerning.... And I'm not seeing anything in my experience or my dog's reactions or through the webcam that makes me feel confident... And with that many dogs per one counselor, I can see where it would be easy for a dog to get hurt.

They reached out to me within a couple of hrs after drop off and explained what was happening. The fact that I can watch him through the cameras is a huge plus but I wouldn't have known how bad his stress level was if it wasn't for the team's attentiveness. I really appreciate the team for attempting to work with my baby. I would 100% recommend Barx Parx!

But after the third visit, my dog came home injured and passed out for the entire night, which I don't think is very healthy. I got mixed responses on why he might have come home with a limp that lasted about 4 days in the end. It made me think that they weren't watching the dogs properly and there's very little down time for these dogs. Since I can't trust them to watch my dog and make sure that he doesn't get hurt, we've moved on to another place. By the way I've been to several other daycares in town and this never happened so having it happen on only day three of coming here is pretty concerning. Plus it should probably be a red flag that any place charges extra for you to watch what's happening on a webcam so you know what's happening at this place. That would have been very helpful for me to understand what happened to have to keep my dog at home for 5 days to recover.

I gave them a call and was told to create an account and fill out an application online. Once I filled out an application online for an interview, I would be called to schedule. When I brought Teddy in, they notified me that they were going to do a minimum 3 hour interview, but was also welcomed to keep him until just before they closed around 7pm. His appointment was at 2pm and just kept him until 5pm. They provided cameras for all of the play yards (2 views - entire play yard or snout view). While watching the cameras, I saw them taking Teddy around the empty play area to walk around, then slowly they introduced different dogs one at a time to see how he interacted. After a series of different dog interactions, he was introduced to the main play yard with all dogs in similar size. The way their dog camp works is all day play. They said Teddy did well and passed the interview. I received a cute coupon with his face that said "welcome to the pack", which included a discounted rate for 3 full days at camp, 1 bath, & 1 individual enrichment session. I scheduled an all day camp a couple of days later to make sure he was acquainted with the space prior to boarding him for a full 7 days. I asked about doggy boarding and wanted the full Lux room to be able to see the room as he sleeps. My anxiety was in full effect because I've never left Teddy alone before and he was already an abandoned dog, so I didn't want him to think we just left him. The day came when we had to bring him in (day before since we had an early flight next day). My husband took Teddy in and I checked the app. It said "cabin" and not the lux suite. I asked my husband if he made sure Teddy was in the upgraded suite and he didn't make sure to ask. I called and spoke with the owner, Paula. She notified me he was indeed booked for a regular cabin, which did not allow me to see him in his room throughout the night. I voiced my frustration that when I booked, I wanted to upgrade to the lux room. She told me all the lux rooms were booked but one would be opening up 3 nights later. I was about to call all the different Camp Bow Wows to ensure I would be able to see my dog. Paula found an alternative. There was an enrichment room for enrichment services that also had a 24/7 camera. She moved things around and allowed Teddy to sleep into the space and notified her team so there wouldn't be any schedule disturbances. My heart felt more at peace knowing I would be able to see how he was doing. Fast forward and I can tell that Teddy was sad from the cameras, which is understandable. We received a call to notify us that he has blood in his stool. He's not used to all day play and I'm sure he was stressed that we haven't come to pick him up. I ended up adding enrichment services everyday until we picked him up. They sent me pictures during snuggle sessions and it made me feel at ease knowing he was getting a little extra love and attention. Or flight was delayed and I kept in constant contact with the text number they provided for me. They notified me that Teddy was welcomed to stay as long as he needed. Service was honestly fantastic. I was so happy with the open communication and reassurance that Teddy was okay or doing better. I'm thankful for the team for loving doggos so much. I kept an eye on those cameras like a hawk.
