10/10. My Murphy boy loooves this place. I was so worried about him not being able to conform well--we have two other dogs at home and sometimes he doesn't understand queues from other dogs to stop playing--but Camp Bow Wow swooped in with confidence and did so well with his intro day. I am so impressed by this facility. They are the only ones that I've seen that offer ALL DAY play and SUPERVISED 100% of the time. They will promptly correct the dogs if things ever escalate. My biggest fear at dog parks is that I don't trust other dog owners to do this and sometimes it's just too late. I have no worries when I drop him off and it's such a nice perk that I can peep the cameras for the play yard to check on him throughout the day.. and every time I tune in, he's getting or asking for pets! But the even better part? He's TIRED on a daycare hangover for the next day or so. So, mommy and daddy can get things done. Thank you CBW for offering such a great service to our community! Murphy and I look forward to more fun, doggy daycare days :)

This was a photo CBW sent me on her birthday when she was in daycare that day.

The staff and owner are really amazing. They love and know my pup very well. She first came to CBW with extreme anxiety and stranger danger, and they worked with her in putting her with the smaller dogs first and eventually put her with the bigger dogs as her confidence rose. Because she's a bit in between the weight threshold between big and little, they always ask me when I drop her off if she'd like to be with the bigs dogs or little dogs. She is always super excited to play with any and all of the dogs but her favorite friends are another boxer and an Aussie. They have cameras in the yards that owners can view throughout their pup's stay during daycare and I always see staff cleaning up any messes pretty quickly after they happen. I have also boarded my pup for about a week over the holidays and it was a great experience as well. They ask for 50% deposit about 2-3 weeks before your boarding stay and then you pay the remaining 50% when you pickup your dog. They always have enrichment programs going on based on the holidays or seasons and the staff either send you a picture of your pup or whatever "craft" they did with them that day (these enrichments do cost extra). If there are any issues, like a sick dog , the staff will immediately call/text owners to let them know the situation and give them the option to pick up their dog. CBW is very professional, kind and communicative and I'm so glad I found them.

Camp Bow Wow is absolutely fantastic! I take my 10-month-old Australian Shepherd, Myla, here, and they treat her like family. Every member of the staff genuinely cares about her, and it's so clear they love what they do. They have live cameras so I can check in on Myla anytime and see her playing and having fun with her friends, which really puts my mind at ease. When Myla stayed for a few days while I was out of town and wasn't eating as well as usual, Julia went out of her way to ensure she did adding chicken broth and trying a few different things to help her eat, showing how attentive and compassionate they are. I trust Camp Bow Wow completely, knowing Myla is safe, loved, and enjoying herself. Highly recommend!

Ask the Community - Camp Bow Wow

Do they have non-social play/private play?

Unfortunately, we do not have individual play. All of our dogs must pass an interview to attend camp (for daycare and boarding) as they are in the play yards all day with other pups.

This location is closer to where I live so I thought that I'll try them out and the experience would be the same, but I was wrong. The staff is very friendly and the location is very nice but I did not realize when I booked my stay that the location has no indoor play area. That would be generally fine if they have the dogs play outside early in the morning and in the evening when it's not as hot but not throughout the hottest times of the day. When I looked at the cameras, my dog was outside with over 20 dogs packed in a play area during the hottest times of the day. I picked him up on Monday, 6/8, and the staff told us that they barely noticed today that my husky had hot spots on his head and paw. I saw the hotspot and noticed he was also limping because of the hot spot on his paw. I treated the hotspot Monday night and Tuesday, but yesterday I had to take my dog to the vet because the hot spot on his head started to bleed and show puss coming out. The vet shaved it and checked his cheek and found a BIG hot spot on his cheek as well. My dog now has a cone on, I have to spray the spot on his head and cheek every 12 hrs, put ointment on his paw every 12 hrs, and he has to take a antibiotic every 12 hrs for the next 7 days. I'm sure during the winter it's fine to have dogs outside all day but not during the summer! The place is probably fine for a daycare but don't board your pet at this location!

We understand that transitions are tough and have compassion for that, but the experience (or lack thereof) that we've had with the new owner has been jaw-dropping and severely disappointed. Last week, we got back from our family trip and our dog Ellie was boarded for a few days. She always has had the best time and has never had any issues or injuries. Any time something did happened, we were called right away and an incident report would be filed. There has always been a trust had with Hot Diggity Dog. Now onto this new experience. We came to pick up Ellie and noticed when we got into the car that her left paw was bleeding. We looked at her paw and one of her claws was clearly ripped out of her paw. The nerve was still intact, but NOBODY said anything to us upon pick up or called us when it actually happened. That was red flag #1. When we went in to address it with the gals in the front, Christina was the only one who tried to genuinely help and give us answers (she very well might be this new owners only saving grace). She let us know that the owner was going to call us and let us know but that they have been so swamped and it "slipped their mind". That the owner was going to still call us. I let her know that is a breech of trust with us but that we will wait for that phone call. The new owner has still never called us and it's been almost a week since that convo. That is now red flag #2 and was a deciding factor that we will no longer be bringing our dogs to Hot Diggity Dog. If this new owner would have been accountable to what they said, we would have been more than happy to extend forgiveness. Unfortunately that did not happen and the ball was dropped not once, but twice. Accountability and integrity are HUGE for us. Hot Diggity Dog's previous owners had that. I hope this new owner learns the importance of that.
