In 2007, we had 2 young, aggressive Australian Shepherds. My wife saw an add for "All Dog Solutions - Socialize Your Aggressive Dog". She called, spoke with Ry, and made an appointment. When he arrived, he had a tennis racket in his hand. We looked at each other quizzically and the barking began! He proceeded to take our problem child (Sassy), on a leash, into the back yard and turn her loose. During the next hour, in case she lunged at him, he gently placed the tennis racket in front of his body. After the next hour, she was by his side and walking easily around the yard on her leash. Now (September, 2021), Sassy eagerly awaits Ry's every other day visit. We call him "St. Francis", patron saint of animals! read more

Tried to contact several times, never received a response. Maybe they are out of business? ‍

There are not enough stars on every yelp review combined to give this man. Ry is one of the most genuine, nicest, people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting, and this shows tremendously through his work. My boyfriend and I brought home a Belgian Malinois puppy one week ago. We were well aware of the intensity of the breed and how they are not recommended to novice/inexperienced dog owners. We had done plenty of research and were well prepared for the work this breed of dog requires...or so we thought. One week into owning our 8 week old Malinois, we were pulling out our hair trying to figure out how to get this puppy to stop biting and nipping at us. My parents had previously worked with Ry for their golden retrievers and could not express enough how he was the best of the best. We reached out to him and explained that we were getting really frustrated and we weren't sure how to deal with how mouthy and snappy the puppy was. We were concerned if not addressed immediately, the snapping could turn into aggression as the dog got older. We were worried we would have to board Renzo to get trained if we couldn't stop the continuous biting. Ry not only spent an hour on me with the phone answering my questions and offering suggestions, but also reassured us that he would help us. I've only had one session with Ry, and Renzo is a completely different dog. We are able to get Renzo to a calm, submissive state where he isn't trying to bite or nip at us every ten minutes. For the first time since we got this puppy I feel fully confident I can handle him and I didn't bite off more than I could chew, and that's all thanks to Ry. He was able to show us the proper techniques to address the biting and create a more enjoyable environment for both us and Renzo. If you have the opportunity to work with Ry do not hesitate!! This was easily one of the most positive experiences I've ever had. read more

Today we had the most incredible experience with Ry (uncle Ry) during our session with my dog Lola. She is a year old Rottweiler and while she is super sweet she is full of energy and that has made it difficult to invite friends over (who wants a big dog jumping on them) and taking her for a walk was exhausting. Ry spent time with me and my son teaching us how to work with her. The techniques he taught were effective and kind and with continued dedication by me and my son, I know that this will make a huge impact on our family's quality of life. Ry was so patient and we did not feel rushed at any point during our session. I couldn't be more pleased! read more

If I could give Uncle Rye a 10 star rating, I would. My husband did a lot of research and read a ton of reviews on several companies before calling Rye. We are more than please with Uncle Rye with how he teaches and trains the dogs, as well as the owners. His approach is stern, but caring and loving. We have two Golden Retriever puppies that are 1yr and 11 months that are a bit rambunctious at times when visitors come over, and on their walks. When we first called Uncle Rye, the dogs were around 9 months and 7 months old, and we were really struggling with taking them on walks. One dog would pull on the leash and the other would pull, jump, and wouldn't listen to any commands. By the end of the training session, (Uncle Rye spent a good 5-6 hours with us) my husband and I were able to walk our dogs without any stress and enjoy the walk. In the past couple of months we both have become a bit relaxed and maybe lazy because of busy schedules, the puppies have become a bit much again. Uncle Rye has answered every text and phone call. He's always willing to help us out no matter what. We did have him come out one more time to teach us a couple additional techniques and get us back on track. I cannot recommend Uncle Rye enough. With just 1 session I was able to walk my dogs stress free, no more jumping, and understand that I am the pack leader and control my home/space. The second session, was for us all to get back on track, and a couple of new tricks for mom and dad! Thank you, Uncle Rye! You are a wonderful, caring individual and we appreciate the calmness you have provided to our family and home. read more

Uncle Ry. That's what they call him. Perfect name for the best guy to help me create the relationship I have with my pup. He was recommended to me in great confidence from a trusted friend. Little did I know my initial consult would lead to him becoming such a positive force to create the relationship I have with my puppy. I was just looking for someone to advise me of I'd set up the kennel correctly....and then my puppy was biting ferociously, growling! I was afraid of her...Little did I know how much I'd needUncle Ry. He has taught me how to be the pack leader, understand my energy and it's impact on my dog. He gives his time endlessly via text, phone call and visit. And my girl totally loves Uncle Ry. Not only has he been a force for good for my dog, but for me. Professional, listens- really listens and a pure passion and ease for what he does. I'm so proud of the progress I've made with my Olive Goose using the techniques Uncle Ry has taught me. read more

Uncle Ry is highly recommended. He is helping us with our 9 month old puppy who is a handful. Our pup was extremely difficult to walk on a leash, lunging and barking at people and other dogs. Also, he was unruly at home with barking and jumping on us. We have had 3 sessions with Uncle Ry and now our puppy walks well on a leash and we have the learned the skills to correct other unwanted behaviors in the house. He has been a pleasure to work with and we are seeing results. Before we met Uncle Ry we did not know what to do with our pup and even considered re-homing him because we didn't know how to handle the situation. Uncle Ry really improved our relationship with our puppy and we are so happy with the results. read more

The first time Ry came to our house I was amazed at how my puppy, Clyde, reacted to him. Instead of being a crazy psycho puppy Clyde sat and sniffed his shoes and was a perfect baby boy. Over the months working with Ry it was unbelievable how smart I found Clyde was with everything he learned and how trainable he was with somebody as professional and good with dogs (& people) as Ry is. I highly recommend All Dog Solutions for anyone with a puppy or a dog of any age. You will not be sorry! read more

My boyfriend and I have blended our dog family and needed help badly to get all three male dogs to coincide. Thankfully I have a girlfriend who used Ry's help for her misunderstood dog. The first training session we were walking our dogs and two Pitbulls (unleashed) came aggressively towards us. Never in my life would I imagine something like that would happen to me. Thankfully Ry was with us, he had an umbrella that he used to keep the dogs away from mine.(he did not touch them in any way) They left my pack and we continued our walk. I was amazed by all techniques we were taught and how quickly they worked. I'm so grateful that we met Ry and can't wait to learn more! read more

We have a Pit Bull that was sweet but a lot of dog to handle for a seniors. After reading reviews from different trainers we decided to reach out to All Dog Solutions. Ry was easy to contact and patiently listened to our concerns. He was able to ask us questions to get the information he needed. He listened to our answers and made comments to make sure he was understanding what we needed him to know. I talked to him several times on the phone before meeting him in person. He was always so kind and patient even when we had to cancel two appointments with him due to health or family concerns. When we were finally met him he was was so good with our dog who responded well to Ry's calm and caring training. Ry was always so kind to our dog and to those of us struggling to understand and follow his directions. The best way to describe Ry is to say he was genuine in his concern and kindness through the whole training process and after it was over. He even checked in with us later to see how things were going. This was a totally positive experience. read more

I have been using Ry for all my dog training needs. I have had 3 dogs and needed to introduce my boyfriends mature dog who wasn't social with other dogs. Ry took the time necessary to help us with the process of introducing him to my "pack". My boyfriend and I were stressed for our own reasons and Ry couldn't have been more calming. He always gave us excellent reasons and ample time to work together with our 4 dogs. I would use anyone else with my fur babies and Ry is always available if I ever have a question or concern. read more

I adopted an adult pound puppy who within the first month, after settling in a bit, showed some of his true colors as an individual that is socially inept and emotionally disturbed (that is, has dog-aggressive tendencies). I'm quite active and wanted a dog that can be equally active and well adjusted - he needs to be able to handle encounters with other dogs on walks, hikes, and the occasional game night at the house. So, we sought help. I was looking for trainers that were adequately qualified to work with canine aggression (we were beyond the need to simply sit and stay, he can learn those "tricks" no problem), and I was finicky about the methods I used. I wanted the training to be more psychologically motivated than machismo-fear-dominance motivated, and after talking to quite a few trainers in town, Ry Steffen of All Dog Solutions appeared to be one of my few options I briefly worked with another trainer who I discovered clearly wasn't able to meet the needs of my dog and I, so that was a loss of money for me but a learning experience about the difference between an okay trainer and a great trainer. Ry subscribes to many Caesar Milan type beliefs and practices - the focus is always on the pack leader staying in control, with a "calm assertive" state of mind and a beta dog will respond in kind. His techniques have transformed the interactions in our household with both the humans and the dogs in a much better place (emotionally speaking). We can do things we couldn't before - have nice, long, calm walks without the dogs freaking out every time we pass another dog - and I feel in control and am able to quell bad situations often before they happen (or handle them quickly and calmly when they do). The dogs are clearly happier in a calmer state of mind knowing who the pack leader is. Ry really focuses on the dog and pack psychology and explains the biological basis behind all the techniques he uses. He's sometimes a little hard to get ahold of and is ridiculously busy, so don't expect to be able to set up a meeting the day you call... But, if you and your puparoo need help making life more manageable, he's your guy. read more
