My daughter was experience hip pain & was diagnosed with tendonitis by our orthopedic doctor. His 1st choice recommendation was TAG but said that, because they have such a great reputation, it would be difficult for us to get in. By a stroke of luck, we managed to get in, not only with a physical therapist, but Ellen specializes in pediatrics and was a former dancer. We have been doing our regular weekly sessions with Ali who is incredibly knowledgeable and has been so patient with our daughter. They have a great facility and all of their aides are wonderful. The only downside would be difficulty getting in. Once you get in, book future appointments at the beginning of the month for the following month. read more

This review is for the Rolling Hills Estates location and I can't say enough good things. My physical therapist, Andrew Meyer, literally saved my life. I broke my ankle and had surgery in March 2024. With Andrew's help, I was able to walk miles in Italy by the end of May. After the trip he helped me further improve my ankle and also evaluated long standing rotator cuff issue. I was released from all PT at the end of July and feel 100% improved. Couldn't have done it without Andrew and the wonderful TAG team! read more

Very happy with this place! Everyone is really helpful and attentive. After finding out I have Sciatica, my doctor recommended I visit TAG to strengthen my muscles. Because of the pain I was in, I really wanted to start immediately. Getting an appointment fast was difficult but they have a waitlist you can get on. If/when someone cancels or reschedules, they call people on their waitlist and I've been able to go in for a few last minute appointments because of it! Ali (therapist) has been so helpful. She listens to the problems I have and has given me some good stretches and exercises to do at home too. I always feel really good after a PT appointment and experience a lot less pain then I did before. Such a great office! Staff is super friendly and competent. They are organized and fantastic communicators as well as on time. Each PT I've seen has been great and the assistants as well. I did have ONE small paperwork/billing issue as a returning patient, I guess they changed computer systems or something but once I communicated my minimal frustration they were so diligent and receptive to my feedback- it made me like them even more! I will say that if you're used to more therapeutic treatments like theraguns and other machines, this PT office isn't that. It's more about exercises and stretching with minimal manual massage not that they don't do it or don't have it just that they don't lead with that. Aka they aren't lazy lol. I originally went for plantar fasciitis in my right foot during my training for my first half marathon, and then the months following. I didn't have actual plantar but rather really tight calves and knots in my foot that were causing plantar like pain. I was also able to get custom orthotics done in their office and Kathy is FANTASTIC as well as the lab they use for the inserts. Since using them I have seen a miraculous difference in my feet (I'm still getting used to wearing them but I can totally tell the difference). I used PPO insurance and had excellent experience with their billing department as well. All in all love this place! read more

This PT is very busy and when you are able to get in the physical therapy is good but frankly they don't cause you enough pain. My other very large complaint is that they knew I had a total knee replacement but they never told me I needed at least 3 PT a week right after surgery. Instead they scheduled me for only one a week then put me on a waiting list. Now I just had my second total knee replacement and I arranged Home PT and learned I needed at least three a week. My home therapist does a great job and causes a lot of pain but I am much better with flexion and extension now. If your PT and Surgeon don't tell you I need three PT a week they are doing you a disservice. My home therapist has worked on both my knees and making great progress. read more

I was referred to TAG after breaking my clavicle and scapula. My therapist was named Ali, and I was her first major patient! I could tell she was a little nervous (as was I ... haha) but I think she was even more excited. The evaluation was thorough, and the exercises progressed appropriately. My surgeon at Kerlan-Jobe suggested TAG for prehab prior to my ACL surgery. This was my first major injury requiring any sort of surgery and the recovery / rehab was going to be long and I wasn't sure what to expect. From the first day I walked in for prehab - to my last day of rehab almost 8 months later, my time in physical therapy at TAG was amazing. The entire staff was professional, super friendly, and very accommodating. Scheduling was easy (thanks Madison!), hours are great, and they always run on time. My DPT, Andrew, was outstanding. He was very compassionate, knowledgeable, funny, and always answered my thousands of questions while pushing me to get stronger, even when I was scared to try something new. I remember asking on my first day - what if I'm too scared to return to my sport after surgery? - Andrew's reply: "Then I'm not doing my job." He was right! He helped me get stronger than I was pre surgery and more importantly, find my confidence to return to my sport. I also really like that he incorporated exercises for injury prevention into my program. I tried a few other physical therapy places and I always felt like a number to them, the PT was seeing multiple patients at the same time, and they were always running late. That is NOT the situation at TAG. I have recommended TAG to friends and coworkers, all of which have returned multiple times and have nothing but good things to say about their experiences as well. AMAZING! Sums it up in one word the way Ali and the crew of Tag PT took care of my situation with my left shoulder replacement. I am able to use my left shoulder as if nothing happened and even the Dr./Surgeon was surprised with range of motion. Back story, I was hit by a car while riding my bicycle and both shoulders needed to be replaced left one has been done and my right shoulder will be replaced in January and rest assured I will be heading back to Ali and the Tag crew as soon as I start PT again on the right. Horrible scheduling system here. Very unorganized. Very upsetting because they do not even try to help with anything along the lines of scheduling and then they blame it on you once you miss or don't schedule an appointment. I have been going to TAG for about 6 months now. I had a pretty severe knee injury and came here for post surgical rehab. I am extremely happy with my results. My physical therapist's name is Ali. Ali is incredible. She was patient when I was frustrated, helped me slow things down when I wanted to (prematurely) speed things up, listened to my concerns, and supported me with my goals. I had a really difficult time choosing the right therapist for my recovery. There are so many PT clinics, and so many therapists. I feel very fortunate to have found TAG and Ali. The staff and therapists here are amazing. Incredibly knowledgeable, understanding, professional, and kind; they make you feel as though you're their only patient. I was referred for a bulging disc I had regrettably ignored for months until I could barely drive, sleep, or sit for extended periods. Within a few sessions I had regained some ROM and my pain had significantly lessened. I've been working with Andrew for my post knee surgery PT and he is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and empathetic! I was given a list after my knee revision and Tag was recommended by my UCLA Orthopedic Surgeon. Allie is amazing, one of the best PT's I have had. While she was working on me I had an exercise I could not perform due to weakness and severe pain in the hip right hip. She aske if she could contact my surgeons assistant. She felt I had possibly arthritis in that hip. Had x-rays done and I was diagnosed with severe arthritis. When they went in to do the replacement they found I had severe trauma on my growth as a youth, and my abductor muscle had totally detached from my hip joint. If it had not been caught who knows how long before I could even walk. Thank god for one of the best Physical Therapist, Allie!!!!!!! The staff is so professional and caring. My condition struck right before the COVID-19 lockdown. I was in constant pain and unable to sit for months until physicians could see patients again. I was diagnosed with arthritis and bulging disks in and around L4 and L5. My physician referred me to TAG. They took me immediately. The office follows industry guidelines for COVID-19, so I felt safe. All staff is professional but warm and courteous. They are responsive and very accomodating when it comes to scheduling, dealing with physicians, and insurance. My therapist, Alison Ramos, used a combination of manual therapy, stretching, strength training, TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation), and ice to treat my condition. Ali took a holistic approach to my illness, managing my physical care and expectations, encouraging me to maintain a positive attitude and to trust my body's ability to heal. It was hard to keep a positive attitude when experiencing chronic pain. However, I left each session feeling better physically and mentally. Thanks to Ali, I am now pain-free and got that way without shots and pills. She also gave me exercises and the knowledge to deal with the situation if it occurs again. read more

UPDATE: One of the owners of the company called me and understood the situation. She offered to refund the difference. That's classy. Thank you. This is my second experience with Physical Therapy, although this time around it was for a different issue than last time. I have a deductible for my health insurance and was specifically told that I would be paying out of pocket. The company told me one price, which I paid, and then proceeded to bill my insurance company anyway. They KNEW I have a deductible so there would be NO coverage from the insurance company and they charged me TWICE as much when going through the insurance company as I was charged at the time of my visits. They claim that they were estimating my benefits and were waiting to get the information back from my insurance company before reconciling the billing- IF THEY ALREADY KNEW I HAVE A DEDUCTIBLE THEN THEY ALREADY KNEW THE INSURANCE WASN'T GOING TO PAY ANYTHING!!! Basically, this company has used a bait & switch for their billing and have charged me double what they said the treatments would cost. They've essentially lied to my face and I cannot do business with, nor recommend a place like this to others. If you have full coverage, then maybe it's for you... any thing else, I'd find someplace that isn't as shady. read more

Several well - respected orthopedic surgeons told me I would not recover without a multi-level spinal fusion, but I wanted to avoid surgery. After doing PT with Mindy and her staff. With my diagnosis with Breast Cancer after surgery my UCLA radiology Dr recommended me to go to Cathy Tarte PT at TAG for my post surgery and Lymphedema therapy care. The staff are truly amazing. They were all so very kind so supportive as I was going through the chemotherapy and radiation treatments, plus all the other doctor appts and tests we go through. I was referred to TAG by my regular doctor after a car accident. Our vehicle was hit from the front and I was a passenger behind the driver and ended up with whiplash on the side of my neck. After a month, most of the other aches and pains were gone but my neck was still bothering me. So I went in to TAG. I was treated mostly by Cathy, occasionally Mindy if Cathy was booked and both were absolutely wonderful. I tried to get the early appointments before work (8a/830a) so the studio was usually calm and quiet which was really nice. Even on the busier days, I never felt rushed and the atmosphere never felt stressful or frantic. Cathy is awesome. She really took the time to work on my neck and make sure I was feeling comfortable the whole time. Occasionally if Cathy wasn't available in the mornings I would go to Mindy and their copious notes made the transition really seamless. I didn't feel like I had to re-explain my whole situation and there was always progress in my treatment. Everything is clean and bright and everyone is professional and friendly. After just a few visits, everyone knows your name and genuinely seems to care about how you're doing outside of therapy. It really feels like a team effort there to get you back to being pain-free. Once you've gotten to know everyone there, after several weeks of early morning treatment, going to TAG was not only therapy for your body but your life. After the accident it was a very stressful time in my life and going into TAG was like catching up with friends over coffee every morning and starting your day on a great note all the time. Since the accident wasn't our fault, I had to deal with the dreaded car insurance claim guys and trying to get the other drivers insurance to cover all my medical expenses. After hitting a dead-end with them (they kept claiming they wouldn't cover beyond a certain date) I asked Ava for proof of billing as well as a letter outlining my treatment (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly, she's so nice and handles a lot of the insurance/billing). I had a PDF of my billing history in my inbox the very same afternoon and a letter in the mail a few days later. She even answered a few more questions for me via email. I'm still battling with the insurance guys a year later but the silver lining in this whole car accident mess is that I found TAG and their wonderful team!
