This is a great phys therapy place in El Segundo. Nice little town, pretty good parking around the surface streets. And if you need something from the store down the street, you can also park in their lot. This facility gets really busy but they have mostly private rooms, with some of the machinery out on the floor. The people are very nice, and it's very low key. read more

I was referred to Davis and DeRosa Physical Therapy by Kailea (I hope I'm spelling her name right!) from StretchLab, who was also working at Davis and DeRosa at the time--and I'm so thankful I listened to her. She specifically recommended Dr. Ana Beqaj, who holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, and that connection completely changed the direction of my recovery. When I first came to Davis and DeRosa, I was in bad shape -- I needed a cane to walk and was relying on muscle relaxers and pain medication daily. After my initial visit, I was diagnosed with a lateral lumbar shift due to disc herniations (it looked like I had scoliosis when I would take my shirt off)... I was honestly depressed and thought, "This is it -- I'll never walk without a cane again." But within just one month and a half of physical therapy with Dr. Beqaj and the amazing team at Davis and DeRosa, I was walking without a cane!! I couldn't believe it. I was overjoyed and incredibly grateful. The clinic is so good they've had to add extra PT tables in the waiting area just to accommodate the demand. At first, I was shy talking about my condition with others nearby, but after experiencing such powerful results, I didn't care who overheard -- I wanted everyone to know how effective they are. I'm also a disabled veteran, and I've been through VA physical therapy, so I can say this with confidence: Davis and DeRosa is better than any VA PT clinic I've ever been to. If you're a fellow veteran dealing with chronic pain or injury, please don't settle for less -- come here and experience what REAL HEALING feels like. Consistently great service! I've been going to Davis and DeRosa for a few years to address various issues with my shoulder, back, ankle, balance, and posture. They have always been great with exceptional Physical Therapists. I have my favorite therapists, but have had the opportunity to work with several and can confidently say they are ALL exceptionally competent, knowledgeable, kind, and caring. I really enjoyed my experience here with JJ, both before and after my lumbar fusion disc surgery. He is very knowledgeable, kind and attentive to my needs. However, upon recent attempts to schedule a new treatment plan for cervical issues -my neurosurgeon's prescription- they decided not to honor my Blue Shield Silver 87 PPO plan anymore. I called to discuss it and the final answer was simply, "They do not pay us enough". I then called my insurance and was informed that they were still listed as an in-network Blue Cross provider. Upon reviewing past invoices sent to my insurance, Davis & DeRosa billed $300 for every 45-minute session to recoup a $60 payout as an in-network provider. Although they have the right to drop any insurance program or client they like, I suppose the initial acceptance of the insurance is most likely simply to attract new clients. Sadly, I pay $1400 per month for a healthcare plan that should surely cover this with my $20 co-pay. I received a callback from Davis & DeRosa with their offer for a new treatment plan cost. $150 for the initial consultation (?) and $100 per visit after that. With 8-12 visits per month recommended, that would bring my insurance cost up quite dramatically. What annoyed me was a third intake consultation fee for the first session and rejecting a client for a $20 difference in price. For example: If Blue Shield paid $60 and I paid the $20 co-pay every visit, that would mean a $20 difference between the private pay price offer and insurance. I may have gladly paid a $40 co-pay to match the $60 to resume with them. I understand we all need to be paid accordingly for our skills and efforts but with physical therapy offices seemingly popping up on every corner now I suppose I can simply begin a relationship with one that would actually call me to discuss the situation rather than just drop the ball. read more

Highly recommend Davis and DeRosa for your PT needs. I needed PT for a shoulder injury and my Dr gave me a list of PT offices in the area. Truthfully, I picked this place because of the proximity to home and the picture of the dog in the office! Big fan of Evan! It's like having instant good mood build in with your appointment. The staff is friendly and professional. At the end of my treatment series, I was given a list of exercises to continue at home, as well as tools/advise to help me execute them correctly. The staff seems genuinely caring and interested in your well-being and recovery. I rotated therapists due to schedule and it's hard to pick a favorite. This however, brings me to my only complaint about this place. The scheduling. When I first reached out, they said they are pretty booked up, but will do their best to get me in quick. (This seems typical for PT offices in the area. I called around and received similar answers) To make it easier, I told them I am flexible with schedule, with the exception of certain windows. When I received my schedule a few days later, the majority of my appointments where in the "exception window". Clearly, a misunderstanding, I assumed. When I called to get this updated, I told that I would have had to wait another month (roughly the wait initially), for a new set of appointments. Or we can "play by ear" and see if patients cancel. It worked out, but created a lot of calls and added coordination. I will return here for future PT needs. Hopefully it won't be needed, but if it does, I will come back. read more

Slow, unresponsive, confused. But staff is nice. I was referred here by my primary care physician. Completed the paperwork before arriving at the office. Showed up early and checked-in. Waited 30-minutes and then got a call from the receptionist a few feet away from me asking if I would be attending my appointment. They apologized for the mistake and I was called in for my appointment. Therapist listened to me but only addressed half of the issues I raised; seemed surprised and slightly flustered that I would ask for my diagnoses to be written down, then disappeared for the remainder of the appointment and left me with an (very nice) assistant. Therapist never returned and never addressed the other issues I raised. Decided to cancel all future appointments. I asked two different staff members to send me an email confirming that all my appointments would be cancelled and I'd not receive any future charge. Still haven't received that email. read more

I am very pleased with my PT experience at Davis and DeRosa. I fell and injured my shoulder. I was in pain and had trouble raising my arm. The combo of strength and stretching exercises plus massage from the PT significantly addressed my problem. I expect to have full recovery and even an increase in my range of motion. I visited Philippines in August for vacation! When I returned on my flight I did not get up on my 14 hour flight. When I arrived at LAX I picked up my heavy luggage and strained my lower backpack. In morning I could not get out of bed because of pain. My doctor recommended physical therapy and this clinic helped me get healthy. Unfortunately, throughout my life, I've had the need to visit physical therapy locations many times. Of all those I've used, Davis and DeRosa is far and away the best. First, it is modern looking, clean and well kept. Second, the staff that I have encountered so far have been very friendly and extremely professional. If you've been to a doctor's office recently, you probably found that taking their time, talking with you, finding out what's going on with you and making you feel welcomed is a thing of the past. That is not true here - they do all the above. Welcome you, talk with you, listen to your issues, take their time to work on you and give you concise instructions on what you need to do when you leave. As far as the working on you, be prepared to spend some time and also be prepared to bite your lip...or take a few deep breaths. For my condition, they are doing some sort of deep tissue therapy and, in a word...ouch!!! But, not a bad ouch, a you-know-it-is-fixing-something ouch. :) Oh, and the have hours outside of normal work hours which means, for me at least, I don't have to take off work to get my therapy. A very big plus. I have more to do but look forward to future visits. They have been great. I truly hope you never have to visit them, because that means you are not hurt but, if you do, I would definitely recommend them. read more

I had been having lower back pain since my baby was born 11 years ago. I always thought it was just something I was going to have to live with, but then my Doctor sent me here and Kim helped me fix my pain. Basically, I wasn't standing, sitting, etc. right. Also, I workout a lot and I wasn't stretching enough. Kim gave me exercises and stretches to do that I'm still doing now, at home, after having gone through all my sessions there. I've been going to Davis and Derosa for about a month now and I'm extremely happy with the quality of service. Kim has been my primary therapist and I feel very fortunate to work with her. I've worked with other therapist in the past and nothing compared to the vast knowledge and understanding that she has of the body. She's not only healing me but teaching me things about my muscles that I've never known. Her approach is not only educated but intuitive as well. The facility is very warm as well. 11/10 would recommend this facility for physical therapy. I was referred by a friend from work. I AM NOTHING SHORT OF GRATEFUL! Everyone from the front desk to the therapy pups are all welcoming and friendly. Not once did I feel out of place or awkward. I am currently doing therapy on my left arm and shoulder due to a snowboarding injury back in December 2019. I snapped my humerus bone in 4 different places mid to lower arm. I did not get surgery and was placed in a plastic brace. I've had it for almost 12 or 13 weeks at this point. Arm has limitations of course, but not as much as it would if put in a cast. As of right now, therapy is focusing mainly on my shoulder until we know more after my next doctor's visit. My initial therapist was Will because I went on a Monday for my first visit. He was great. Really showed me where my muscles have tightened up and have been compensating for the broken arm/movement. After just one visit i was able to fully extend my arm above my head. Before this visit I could only go up a little pas 90 degrees. My second visit was with Alex and it was because I went on a Thursday. Thursday's work better for me with my work schedule. So going forward I have her as my physics therapist. She has been awesome. Not just at helping me make tremendous progress in the two sessions I've been working with her, but her pleasant personality. I am now able to extend my arm above my head and a little past that. She took extra care and time with me and I honestly feel like I'm in great hands. I've been told physical therapy doesn't always work, but for me and this facility. IT IS EXCELLENT!!!! What I've been able to achieve in just 3 sessions, would not have happened without Alex and Will's help. If in doubt for PT, try this facility! read more

I sent this business an electronic message requesting information about physical therapy. A few days later, I decided to call because I hadn't received a response to my request. Upon calling, I told the rep that I hadn't received a response to my email in which she responded that she couldn't find one from me. It was at this time that she collected my insurance information and indicated that she would inquire about coverage, and she would contact me; she expressly told me probably the next day. It's well beyond the next day, and I'm still waiting. It appears to me that this company does not need my business. This review is way overdue. I was seen by LeAnn and Will for over six months in 2016. I was seen at least twice a week and I saw significant improvement in my pain, range of motion, and strength. All their staff are super sweet, friendly, very accommodating, and extremely professional. They take care of all the insurance headaches. They have a great support staff as well and they all do their best to accommodate busy schedules. I received what I thought was a bill. When I inquired about it, I was so pleasantly surprised to learn they accept insurance payments as payment in full. In today's business environment where it's all about making money, it is so refreshing to find a company that truly believes in healing and helping. The owners are to be commended and admired for their approach and business paradigm. Their entire staff seem to very happy and committed to the same cause; healing and helping. I began going to Davis and Derosa after rotator cuff surgery in May 2017. I just finished PT around November. My personal experience was with Troy Davis. He is excellent. Shoulder surgery PT is very, very painful for the first few months. Troy did an outstanding job explaining what was going on with the healing, varied the movements and exercises each visit, and got me back to a happy place. He's very personable and we shared some good conversation along the way. While everyone around you at DDPT is in pain, the entire staff brings a little humor into each day, and that really helps patients get through the pain. Also the front desk people were very helpful in scheduling appointments at convenient times for me. Thank you Troy! read more

Just amazing people! I always feel like family there. The owners, Chris and Troy are just outstanding people overall. My first experience was a shoulder impingement and Troy took care of that quickly. I then had a bum knee. They taught me exercises to do at home, properly squat, engage the glutes more, stretch the ankles and etc. And ever since, my knees feel like they are twenty years younger. And finally, a pinched nerve in the neck. I am still regaining my strength but the pain is completely gone. The thing is; no one is excited to go to physical therapy. It means something is wrong and the performance (I am an athlete and weight lifter) is down big time. That hurts you mentally. So it is not just about getting healed up as quickly as possible, it is also about having reassurance that everything you worked so hard for won't just disappear. Their years of experience and testimonials helped put my mind at ease while I focused on the rehab. Lianne is amazing. She has helped me recover from emergent spinal surgery. Being an RN I did my research; being a PT patient for the past 23 years I have learned a thing or two about PT and what to look for and what red flags to be cautious of. Have been a patient here for a couple of years for various injuries. Have been to other PT offices in the area and this one is by far the best. It is very busy but there is always enough room to do what you need to -they have the flow down very well...I love this place, love the staff (including Jackson the dog!), it's clean, there are private rooms, they are extremely flexible with scheduling with lots of before and after work-hours availability. The only issue is that parking is not always easy especially on Thursdays when they have the farmers market, but I have always managed to find a spot even if I have to go hunting. read more

I am into my third set of appointments with Davis & DeRosa and they are the absolute best! Years ago, I wrecked my left shoulder in a hockey accident and figured I was destined for surgery and/or being done with hockey. Troy worked on me himself and brought my shoulder back to nearly 100%! Cut to over 10 years later and after nearly falling down a flight of stairs, I was diagnosed with a labrum tear in the same shoulder. My doctor said PT would be a 50/50 shot so I went right to Davis and Derosa again and again, they worked their magic (keep on mind, you have to put the work in yourself as well!!) and I went from a daily pain level of a 9(1-10) to no pain at all and it's been almost a year. Now, I am going due to another hockey issue, this time with my abdominal area but these guys are absolutely amazing, cannot recommend enough! read more

I love this place. I'm a walking klutz so I'm ALWAYS in need of fixing somewhere, and they do! Until I manage to bang up some new body part, that is. The first time I visited, I walked in with pain dialed to 11. Within an hour, pain was to a more manageable level. These guys are geniuses and they talk to you in normal English, as opposed to unintelligible medical-ese. Plus, Jackson will always come over to give you a friendly wag of his tail. Especially if you're eating one of the cookies that are always there (don't come here on a diet, because the cookies are yummy!). Tami is my favorite, but all of the PTs are awesome.
