Select therapy in Manhattan Beach is a wonderful place to recover from an injury and surgery. I have had both experience and still undergoing therapy for TKA and the team there is excellent, I'm on my way to recovery. read more

Very attentive care - and they really help you get better faster! Everyone has been terrific...but they fill up fast - probably because they are so good at what they do!! read more

Very friendly staff that also takes the time to explain the process and the benefits of each move. Very patient. Clean open space.

I am writing this review on behalf of my husband who unfortunately had an accident at work earlier this year. Select Physical Therapy was a god sent. He has been receiving care for months now and we are both very thankful for the help the whole staff has provided. I have called them to inquire about scheduling and other things, they are always kind and professional over the phone read more

Love these guys and the style of car. It's all about getting you back in the game. The whole staff from front of house check in to all the PT's and assistants are there to help and work as a functioning team. The best part is its about you doing your PT and not about wham bam get you in and out. Take the time you need to get your PT in, and they are there with you guiding you as you do it, not the rush to get you in and out within the hour. If equipment is open then go to it and work on technique without worrying about a clock. Also they offer on their own time a lunch yoga class while you are there once or twice a week to keep you healthy. Thanks for getting me back out in the world and functioning. read more

I had a great experience at select physical therapy in Manhattan Beach! I had the best team! The whole staff is very kind and compassionate and took the time to listen to my concerns and helped me get through those tough first few months after undergoing hip surgery! Thank you Select PT! read more

Shelby Barnes is absolutely amazing. Upon our first meeting, I noticed her energy, she is very sweet and enthusiastic with her patients as well as professional in her work atmosphere. She took her time with my 11 year son recovering from a broken leg. She told him how excited she was to help him get back on his feet again and that helping athletes is one of her favorite things. We felt so good about her day 1! The next few sessions she was booked and she actually took my son on when someone is her schedule canceled, which I thought was so beyond nice! She really knows what she's doing, she's patient and she really has helped my son so much. She should own the place to be quite honest because she runs the show exactly how a Physical Therapists office should be run! I can tell by her professionalism how much the rest of the PT's look up to her as well because they ask her questions and she always responds with so much kindness. She never makes anyone feel bad...and in a place where everyone is recovering from injury, that is very important.! Shoutout to Shelby for her incredible drive and enthusiasm! Your hard work does not go unnoticed! Thank you for helping my son ! You are the absolute best !!! read more

This place rocks and has really helped my daughter's toe walking issue. She likes coming to get the PT help and gets great attention from Jennifer and staff. We will be sad to stop coming once all is well or insurance runs out. Peace & to this place. read more

Came here after having an unprofessional (putting very lightly) experience with Beach Cities Orthopedics. The staff at Physiotherapy Associates was always extremely friendly, and booking appointments was simple and easy. Heather was amazing to work with. And I am 100% better (recovered from a torn pectoral with a lot of scar tissue build up). Thank you to everyone at Physiotherapy! read more

These guys do great work but their billing company is awful. Sent me to collections before even getting me one invoice. I was going there 3 times a week for months but no one could mention hey your bill's not paid? Instead just straight to collections. So -1 Star for that BS. 5- Starts for the quality of work. read more

Highly recommend! Jennifer did a great job getting me back to full health from my injury. They have an excellent facility. Amanda, Chris, and all the staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Five stars! read more

I was in two car accidents over the summer and had been seeing a massage therapist, acupuncturist, and Chiropractor for 3-4 mos and was only getting more frustrated from lack of results. I saw RJ and on day one left feeling better. I've been to a couple physical therapists before and didn't really notice a difference so I can share with you RJ is phenomenal and hands on, helping you get the change, strength, and flexibility you need. read more

Nicole and Chris are super awesome! Definitely making good progress healing and always look forward to sessions

Highly recommend Select PT. The practice is exceptional in every way. The skilled staff is friendly, courteous and helpful and my therapist RJ was phenomenal! read more

I have been coming for a few months for a shoulder injury, Location is super convenient and spatious. Even if it gets busy, everybody gets undivided attention from the practitioners. Staff is great, fun and friendly and gets the personable twist which makes the experience more enjoyable (no one really wants to spend much time in pain and doing exercise for it). I typically do the exercises, stretches and strengthening, get the area massaged on (not every PT does it) and iced with the electrical. I definitely recommend this place! read more

Highly trained staff? Not! The most recent visits had new associates who didn't know what they were doing! No guidance, no monitoring, no knowledge! read more

I've been here twice. Once for a PT for a ruptured Achilles back in 2009 and recently for a perceived neck injury. I saw Heather and she quickly was able to find that my "neck injury" and numbness in my arm and finger was due to very poor posture. After several sessions with her, i am happy to say that I do not have any more numbness in my arm/fingers. I love the staff and highly recommend Physiotherapy Associates to all. read more

4 years ago I had a hip surgery and began working with Heather at Physio Therapy. Heather is simply amazing. She and her team pushed me through my post surgery constraints to a place where I am back to working out and feeling great again. I continue to see Heather on a regular basis and trust her to keep me healthy. If you are in pain or looking for physical therapy, look no further. Physio Therapy Manhattan Beach should be your next call. read more

I don't recommend using Select Physical Therapy until they get control of their student intern program. At minimum, sign the paperwork disallowing interns from working on you and ensure they cAn intern at Select Physical Therapy severely injured my teenage daughter. As a result my daughter has been out of school for a month. We have been told that she may never regain full use of her right hand. It has been a nightmare. I signed the paperwork stating that no interns could work on my daughter and they disregarded my instructions. read more

Awesome physical therapists. Horrible admin people and corporate billing is horrendous! I spent 2 years trying to get back over $200 in copays that I told them I didn't owe. The front desk admin said I couldn't be seen unless I paid them. So both my husband and I paid until finally she realized we didn't have to pay. She said they would send a refund. Corporate said she never requested a refund. However, it still took me 2 years. 2 YEARS to get my money back. After sending paperwork multiple times, calling them incessantly, writing meticulous notes after each call. Finally got a person who was SO awesome to help me. But the damage was already done. Never NEVER EVER going back to any of their offices!!! read more

Heather and the staff at Physiotherapy Associates are fantastic! As a professional athlete, I have been through the gamut of physical therapists and clinics and I can confidently say that she is the best I have been to. She is extremely knowledgable but also willing to listen and provided me with the care and attention I needed to keep my back and ankle healthy during my pro beach volleyball season. I was referred to her by a friend and will do the same for anyone who is looking for a solid physical therapist in the South Bay. Thanks so much Heather and company! Looking forward to working with you again next season. read more

I came here for a few months with a bad knee that has had some wear and tear. Thanks to them, my knee feels much better, and I am able to do many of the activities I was hesitant to do before. Very professional and extremely knowledgeable. read more

I paid a visit to this office and had the pleasure of working with the team. I highly recommend this office as I received outstanding advice and care. I went in with an injury to my C6, C7 and now I am 95% better. I thank the team's commitment to making me injury free. My hats off to Heather and the team!! Keep up the good work and making a positive impact on people's lives. read more

I cannot say enough good things about PA. The staff makes you comfortable from your first visit. I had 6 weeks to rehab a knee (torn meniscus) before a trip to Europe (and to avoid surgery more generally) and I'm happy to say that I was able to climb to the top of every castle. I wasn't jogging up in that time frame, but The team will get me there eventually. And don't kid yourself thinking physical therapy isn't work no matter your reason for going, but these people are caring and as gentle as possible. You will find all types of people doing rehab for all different injuries. Everyone just smiles and does his or her thing--exactly what you want when sweating and groaning your way forward. read more

In 2005 I went to 3 other physical therapists for back problems. No one was able to provide any relief. After a year of trying those therapists, I was ready to give up on PT. Then I found Physiotherapy Associates. I saw Greg, the clinic director, and he explained in plain English how he would treat my problem. He managed my care by closely monitoring what exercises he gave me and how they made me feel. I saw him for 6 months, and by the end of the treatment I felt like a new person. When I started going there I had constant pain that no other therapist had been able to help alleviate. When my treatment ended, I only occasionally had twinges. They have helped me so much that after my back was better I asked if they could help me with an old ankle injury from 7 years earlier. (I had been to PT for that as well but it didn't help very much.) After they worked on my ankle I was able to do a lot more activities than I had been able to before. This year I injured my shoulder and returned to Physiotherapy, and they helped me rehab from that as well. Okay, so I've had a lot of injuries! But without Physiotherapy, I'd be limping around and miserable. They have really helped me conquer all of my injuries and return to normal activities. read more

I agree with the other posters on this. The therapists are great, or the one I saw was but the front desk girls are awful and tell you your insurance will cover you then come back at you later for it. Nanette, at the front desk verified my benefits at my 3 week postpartum first appointment and told me I had a very small co-pay. I paid my balance each time and went on my way. I then received a bill for $165 saying insurance hadn't covered as much as they thought they would. I called to ask what happened and the girl told me to ignore that, there was a name change for the business and that was happening all the time. She said I was correct and that I owed nothing. A month later I got another bill from the billing department. Long story but they finally sent me to collections and when I called, Nanette was so rude and put all the blame back on me and referred me to what I'd signed, the waiver guaranteeing I'd pay....stating that if I didn't understand it when I signed it I should have asked. She certainly never told me about it when I was there and actually said 'how great, you only have a $7.50 co-pay.' I asked her what the point of verifying benefits was and she said it was a courtesy. She argued nonstop and had zero care about anything but making sure she was not in the wrong. I have had so many friends in the South Bay ask me for physical therapist recommendations, especially postpartum ones and I tell everyone not to go here unless you don't care about being charged whatever they want to. I probably wouldn't be so upset about all this if I hadn't had to deal with this for so many months and the two girls there weren't so unhelpful and in Nanette's case, rude. read more

This practice is exceptional. RJ is awesome! The office staff and PT helpers are wonderful. I went in hurting so bad and left 2 months later a completely different person because of the knowledge and expertise of RJ and everyone. They are timely, thorough and help with insurance issues completely. I highly recommend this practice. Thank you RJ and all! read more

Many thanks to my therapist Nicole and the very nice and helpful team at Physiotherapist Associates of Manhattan Beach. They were very thorough in making sure I learned my exercises correctly and encouraged my successes. I hobbled in and strode out with all their help. It is my first physio experience so nothing I can compare to but it is easy to get to, easy to park, good facility, good people. I fully recommend the team and this office would be my first choice if I have need again for Physio. I am very grateful to Nicole, Channel, Sandy and Arturo. read more

The physical therapy was great, but their billing system/department is terrible. Still dealing with the bill nine months later. After literally hours and hours on the phone with them and the insurance company, they still to this day cannot tell me exactly how much I owe them. They send bills - lots of bills. When I pay them, I get collection calls at my work about amounts that they never even sent a bill for. On my collection call today they said they will not be able to figure out the final amount I owe for months because they are still trying to figure it out with the insurance company. How can they call you at work to threaten you for not paying when they never sent you a bill and they can't even tell you how much you owe? When will it ever stop? Like I said, the therapy is great. But I will never go back there because of the incredibly frustrating and time consuming slog dealing with their billing department over and over and over again for the better part of a year and counting. Life is too short for this. read more

This place is amazing!!! All the staff are so kind, helpful, harmonious and make you feel so comfortable. Dr. Elizabeth Holtz was the first Doctor to help me understand what was going on with my concussion after 9 months of not knowing what was happening to me. She took the time to listen and to ask all the right questions. I am so grateful for her knowledge and expertise, not to mention she is so funny and sweet too. I simply cannot say enough good things about this place. Even Sandy the sweet lady at the front desk works so hard to accommodate everybody with a smile. Best physiotherapy place ever!!! read more

I was injured at work 3-years ago (knee injury) and was referred here thru my doctor's office and I tell you I have not regretted it! Nicole is my Physical Therapist; she is truly wonderful when I say she has magic hands I'm not kidding! she is truly knowledgeable, certainly knows her craft. Thank you for everything! I've never been a believer in PT until I started coming here. Now I am the biggest advocate for it!

i couldn't dance. they fixed me. i couldn't sit. they fixed me. very friendly, so i guess now i'm biased :) if you need a pt, try them

I've had a weak ankle for years caused by a bad ankle injury years ago. I finally decided to see if physical therapy would help me. Nicole and Joe did wonders for my ankle. After bi-weekly visits for 5 weeks, my ankle has felt better than it has in years. I constantly twist my ankle from hiking and jumping off the rock walls. I haven't reinjured my ankle at all since my therapy started. I highly recommend this place. They have wonderful therapists and extremely friendly and helpful staff. read more

I've been to several PT places and this one is excellent. Greg Jue is an outstanding and highly intelligent therapist and always makes me feel better. He doesn't give too much or too little advice. He is also not distracted or impersonal. I've made good progress here since my surgery and am so grateful to everyone on the staff (Kenny, Allison, Heather) for their care and support. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great rehab facility. read more
