Love these guys and the style of car. It's all about getting you back in the game. The whole staff from front of house check in to all the PT's and assistants are there to help and work as a functioning team. The best part is its about you doing your PT and not about wham bam get you in and out. Take the time you need to get your PT in, and they are there with you guiding you as you do it, not the rush to get you in and out within the hour. If equipment is open then go to it and work on technique without worrying about a clock. Also they offer on their own time a lunch yoga class while you are there once or twice a week to keep you healthy. Thanks for getting me back out in the world and functioning. read more

Shelby Barnes is absolutely amazing. Upon our first meeting, I noticed her energy, she is very sweet and enthusiastic with her patients as well as professional in her work atmosphere. She took her time with my 11 year son recovering from a broken leg. She told him how excited she was to help him get back on his feet again and that helping athletes is one of her favorite things. We felt so good about her day 1! The next few sessions she was booked and she actually took my son on when someone is her schedule canceled, which I thought was so beyond nice! She really knows what she's doing, she's patient and she really has helped my son so much. She should own the place to be quite honest because she runs the show exactly how a Physical Therapists office should be run! I can tell by her professionalism how much the rest of the PT's look up to her as well because they ask her questions and she always responds with so much kindness. I have been coming for a few months for a shoulder injury, Location is super convenient and spatious. Even if it gets busy, everybody gets undivided attention from the practitioners. Staff is great, fun and friendly and gets the personable twist which makes the experience more enjoyable (no one really wants to spend much time in pain and doing exercise for it). I typically do the exercises, stretches and strengthening, get the area massaged on (not every PT does it) and iced with the electrical. I definitely recommend this place! read more

I've been here twice. Once for a PT for a ruptured Achilles back in 2009 and recently for a perceived neck injury. I saw Heather and she quickly was able to find that my "neck injury" and numbness in my arm and finger was due to very poor posture. After several sessions with her, i am happy to say that I do not have any more numbness in my arm/fingers. I love the staff and highly recommend Physiotherapy Associates to all. read more

I don't recommend using Select Physical Therapy until they get control of their student intern program. At minimum, sign the paperwork disallowing interns from working on you and ensure they cAn intern at Select Physical Therapy severely injured my teenage daughter. As a result my daughter has been out of school for a month. We have been told that she may never regain full use of her right hand. It has been a nightmare. I signed the paperwork stating that no interns could work on my daughter and they disregarded my instructions. read more

Awesome physical therapists. Horrible admin people and corporate billing is horrendous! I spent 2 years trying to get back over $200 in copays that I told them I didn't owe. The front desk admin said I couldn't be seen unless I paid them. So both my husband and I paid until finally she realized we didn't have to pay. She said they would send a refund. Corporate said she never requested a refund. However, it still took me 2 years. 2 YEARS to get my money back. After sending paperwork multiple times, calling them incessantly, writing meticulous notes after each call. Finally got a person who was SO awesome to help me. But the damage was already done. Never NEVER EVER going back to any of their offices!!! read more

As a professional athlete, I have been through the gamut of physical therapists and clinics and I can confidently say that she is the best I have been to. I agree with the other posters on this. The therapists are great, or the one I saw was but the front desk girls are awful and tell you your insurance will cover you then come back at you later for it. Nanette, at the front desk verified my benefits at my 3 week postpartum first appointment and told me I had a very small co-pay. I paid my balance each time and went on my way. I then received a bill for $165 saying insurance hadn't covered as much as they thought they would. I called to ask what happened and the girl told me to ignore that, there was a name change for the business and that was happening all the time. She said I was correct and that I owed nothing. A month later I got another bill from the billing department. Long story but they finally sent me to collections and when I called, Nanette was so rude and put all the blame back on me and referred me to what I'd signed, the waiver guaranteeing I'd pay....stating that if I didn't understand it when I signed it I should have asked. She certainly never told me about it when I was there and actually said 'how great, you only have a $7.50 co-pay.' I asked her what the point of verifying benefits was and she said it was a courtesy. She argued nonstop and had zero care about anything but making sure she was not in the wrong. I have had so many friends in the South Bay ask me for physical therapist recommendations, especially postpartum ones and I tell everyone not to go here unless you don't care about being charged whatever they want to. I probably wouldn't be so upset about all this if I hadn't had to deal with this for so many months and the two girls there weren't so unhelpful and in Nanette's case, rude. read more

I cannot say enough good things about PA. The staff makes you comfortable from your first visit. I had 6 weeks to rehab a knee (torn meniscus) before a trip to Europe (and to avoid surgery more generally) and I'm happy to say that I was able to climb to the top of every castle. I wasn't jogging up in that time frame, but The team will get me there eventually. And don't kid yourself thinking physical therapy isn't work no matter your reason for going, but these people are caring and as gentle as possible. You will find all types of people doing rehab for all different injuries. Everyone just smiles and does his or her thing--exactly what you want when sweating and groaning your way forward. read more

In 2005 I went to 3 other physical therapists for back problems. No one was able to provide any relief. After a year of trying those therapists, I was ready to give up on PT. Then I found Physiotherapy Associates. I saw Greg, the clinic director, and he explained in plain English how he would treat my problem. He managed my care by closely monitoring what exercises he gave me and how they made me feel. I saw him for 6 months, and by the end of the treatment I felt like a new person. When I started going there I had constant pain that no other therapist had been able to help alleviate. When my treatment ended, I only occasionally had twinges. They have helped me so much that after my back was better I asked if they could help me with an old ankle injury from 7 years earlier. (I had been to PT for that as well but it didn't help very much.) After they worked on my ankle I was able to do a lot more activities than I had been able to before. This year I injured my shoulder and returned to Physiotherapy, and they helped me rehab from that as well. Okay, so I've had a lot of injuries! But without Physiotherapy, I'd be limping around and miserable. They have really helped me conquer all of my injuries and return to normal activities. read more

Dr. Elizabeth Holtz was the first Doctor to help me understand what was going on with my concussion after 9 months of not knowing what was happening to me. The physical therapy was great, but their billing system/department is terrible. Still dealing with the bill nine months later. After literally hours and hours on the phone with them and the insurance company, they still to this day cannot tell me exactly how much I owe them. They send bills - lots of bills. When I pay them, I get collection calls at my work about amounts that they never even sent a bill for. On my collection call today they said they will not be able to figure out the final amount I owe for months because they are still trying to figure it out with the insurance company. How can they call you at work to threaten you for not paying when they never sent you a bill and they can't even tell you how much you owe? When will it ever stop? Like I said, the therapy is great. But I will never go back there because of the incredibly frustrating and time consuming slog dealing with their billing department over and over and over again for the better part of a year and counting. Life is too short for this. read more

I've had a weak ankle for years caused by a bad ankle injury years ago. I finally decided to see if physical therapy would help me. Nicole and Joe did wonders for my ankle. After bi-weekly visits for 5 weeks, my ankle has felt better than it has in years. I constantly twist my ankle from hiking and jumping off the rock walls. I haven't reinjured my ankle at all since my therapy started. I highly recommend this place. They have wonderful therapists and extremely friendly and helpful staff. read more

I've been to several PT places and this one is excellent. Greg Jue is an outstanding and highly intelligent therapist and always makes me feel better. He doesn't give too much or too little advice. He is also not distracted or impersonal. I've made good progress here since my surgery and am so grateful to everyone on the staff (Kenny, Allison, Heather) for their care and support. If you are, you need to go somewhere where staff are committed to making you get better, and have the skill and knowledge to keep working with you until you improve. This is that place. Heather, the clinic director, worked with me for 7 months on my knee and my back. My previous experiences with PT consisted of doing a list of exercises and hoping they worked. Not here.
