Huge texts messages completely lying and blaming me for what went down. I was 16 minutes late and my husband was in their office getting worked on. We had purposely staggered our appointments, because we are on our own for childcare. Office manager knew this when booking the appointment and I questioned their timing for our appointments. When my husband's appointment went over, I paid a babysitter to come help so I can get to the appointment. As I was driving there (only 5 minutes away). She told me I needed to rebook because they wouldn't have time for my cleaning anymore. No offer for me to wait to get checked out later. All lies in the harassing text message I got! OG post : Canceled my appointment on me, when they knew I would be late due to childcare issues. The office manager booked my appointment knowing my childcare issues and set me up to fail and has no sympathy. Cried my eyes out as a mom of 3 under 3. Postpartum is hard enough and I was just trying to get my teeth cleaned. Moms need grace, so they can take of themselves! Thank you for contributing to the mom struggle.

However this was the most traumatic dental experience ever. It was uncomfortable, the dentist was completely not aware, and overall they just lacked compassion at FOCUS DENTISTRY.. EVEN AFTER 10K CASH. Years later I am still dealing with the issues this dentist caused. Ive had great dentist since, my current dentist has actually apologized for the work that focus has done. Essentially after 10k CASH they implanted two posts too close together that NO DENTIST OR SPECIALIST can finish the implant work. I have literally been to multiple dentist and without teeth in these places has caused my face to start to fall.. I have reached out to FOCUS DENTISTRY and not only were they no help... and lacked all compassion, they also were holding 3k extra payment that I had to force them to return. This dentist should BE BANNED. My new treatments are going to cost me upwards of 90k because of this person. I am warning you, do not go to FOCUS DENTISTRY. If it goes well that will be by chance. The office staff are strange and weirdly devoted to this dentist, they refuse to provide information etc. I have filed a complaint with the medical board. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. Since then, I've tried different dentists around Santa Clarita, but honestly, I always felt like they were just trying to upsell me, overcharge, or push unnecessary work. Recently, I remembered how comfortable and cared for I felt at Artistic Smiles, so I decided to make the drive back to Agoura Hills--and I'm so glad I did. I saw Dr. Abajian again in 2025, and the experience was just as great as I remembered. He's honest, makes you feel safe, and doesn't try to empty your pockets. I really respect that. Even though I don't go often, this office left such a strong impression on me that I came back years later, and I'll continue to go back. And I had some inflammation around my dental bridge(which was done 6 years ago)for which I needed treatment. I went to Dr.Cristina Velarde office since her office is located close to my place and also I did not want to travel because of the COVID situation. I found this place on Yelp. I went for my first appointment and waited outside for 15 minutes and for the other 2 appointments she came late as well. If it once then it okay but if it is everytime then that needs a fix. Coming to the treatment, I had some pus formation and inflammation around the dental bridge area which I explained to her. And she did a evaluation and took some 5 x-rays and prescribed me penicillin and scheduled for next visit. And for my second visit, she did some procedure which I thought will resolve the inflammation and my tooth issue. And she scheduled my third appointment, and she came very very late and I was not able to wait since I had to pick up my daughter from her daycare. And after couple of weeks I had the same inflammation issue, and this time I visited another doctor in Westlake village. He was quickly able to see the issue. There was some bone/cement/tooth, particle kind of remnant from my last root canal, trying to come to the surface from under the dental bridge. And he removed the particle on the same day and without any prescription medication. And the issue is resolved. I do not have any issues now. And I paid just 1/4 of what I paid to Dr. Velarde's treatment who was not able see what is causing the problem at all. I have one of the best dental insurance plans. I would have given 0 star if I had that option here. Poor service. Poor treatment. And I have never written any review. And Oak Park family dentistry made me write one. Please stay away from this place. They only care to extract all your money.

She put in a temporary cover, then set-up appointments for my temp. crown as well as my permanent one. Since I was flying out of state she set-up all of my appointments around when I would be in her area.
