5 stars are not enough for Dr. Doug and his team of hygenists and staff. Having a complete fear of dentist offices, I am always weary of any procedure I have to get done. However, Dr. Doug and the girls there made my entire experience beyond wonderful. They are all so friendly, warm and treat you like a part of their family. Now, for the work he did on my mouth, 10 stars wouldnt begin to describe how I feel about my new teeth! In 2 short, quick and painless visits, he transformed my spaced little teeth into a PERFECT hollywood smile. The cost was very fair and the procedure was in one word actually WONDERFUL. I cant say enough about their office and how much I enjoy coming to see them. They in short really changed my life by improving my smile and I cant thank them enough! read more

I have had nothing but good experiences with Dr. Andersen. My wife has been going to him for years, and I just started last year. He is an extremely friendly and caring person who appreciates his patients. All the work we have had done has been solid and we've never had any issues with insurance with him. Apparently I have a different opinion then Terra D., but I like getting in and out of the dentist quickly. As long as the work is done well, then fast is fine. And although I got the call the day before, I didn't get hour by hour the day of. Even if I would have, I'd rather have too many reminders than not enough. But hey, that's just me. read more

A real dentist. After scouring the greater Thousand Oaks area for a real dentist, not a "glamour smile", teeth whitener pushing "cosmetic" dentist, I finally found Dr. Anderson. He does all the cosmetic services, if you are interested in them. But if you're not, he doesn't push the upsell. He provides experienced, skilled dental care with a great sense of humor. His staff are also excellent. His office is well run and his fees are reasonable. He takes great care of my family's teeth. read more

ive been to dr doug a few times but the last couple of experiences havent been the best. my six-month check up was quite brief (twenty minutes total for the cleaning, flossing and polishing) and a very, very quick check up from the doc. for $110 (including the non-insurance patients discount of $20) it was not worth it. oh, they normally call the day before to confirm... but they also call practically every hour the day of your appointment to make sure you are going to be there. it is a bit pesky and unnecessary. read more

I have been going to Doctor Doug for my entire life (minus a few scary years when my mom's insurance made us go somewhere else). Doctor Doug is absolutely the best. He is kind, caring and has done a great job taking care of my teeth (even thought I haven't done the best)! He made going to the dentist as a kid exciting and still does! Unfortunately my personal, grown up insurance (since I'm no longer on my parent's) doesn't cover Doctor Doug, so I have to look elsewhere...I am not happy about it and plan to stall for as long as possible since no other dentist will ever be as good as Doctor Doug! ;) I highly recommend his office as everyone there is absolutely the best and the most kind office staff I have ever been around. They all know and remember me and my entire family (who used to go there until they moved out of state) and always ask me how they are doing. They always go above and beyond! And if you don't worry about looking like a dork they will even let you go through the "prize box" and pick out toys for finishing your dentist appointment! ;) As far as insurance, I have never had any issues. I have also never had to worry about Dr. Doug's office trying to rip me off (like other dentists I have been to) by suggesting that I need work done that I actually don't. Dr. Doug and his team are trustworthy and won't rip you off! I would definitely suggest giving his team a try if you haven't already! :) read more

Dr Doug is the best - great office with modern equipment.

I have been a patient of Dr. Andersen for about 20 years. He is great - friendly and knowledgeable. I take my children there and they think he's funny/silly. I have never had an insurance issue and I've had a couple of different employers. He is great and his office staff is wonderful. I have never had a "pesky" issue with them. They do a polite reminder call the day before and that's it. Perhaps for new patients they follow a different protocol. I recommend Dr Andersen highly. read more

I just felt that the previous review was not fair. Dr Andersen has a charming personality and he is very fair. He doesn't pile unnecessary procedures and charges. I was introduced to him by a couple of my friends who have been with him for many years and are quite happy with his services. His staff is very professional and well organized. I've been with him myself for over a year, and have nothing to complain about. The cleaning is done by another specialist. I found the cleaning and the exam to be thourough. read more

I am an orthopedic surgeon. I consider myself critical of practices and providers in ways that many patients would not be. Dr. Andersen is a solid professional who goes out of his way to make you feel like his office is there for your every need. He is caring, charismatic, empathetic and most importantly he knows how to calm his patients. His technical ability and skill is without a doubt great. I feel the same about his wonderful staff and beautiful office space. When I go to his office I feel like a VIP. I've been going to Dr. Andersen for many, many years. He's FANTASTIC, I would never see any other dentist. I don't really love any dentist experience - and he always makes it as comfortable as possible. He's hilarious, you're guaranteed to laugh before you leave! I've always liked all his hygenists as well. I agree that their "reminder policy" is a little wacky - a call to remind me of an appointment is great - but they expect you to call back right away and confirm - and if you don't they might call you again.... I don't want to have to call back unless I'm going to cancel. read more
