I simply love Taco Tote. They provide you with a lot of meat, beef, or chicken to go with your tortilla, rice, and beans. If you order a large serving, you usually have enough for leftovers. That's how much food you can walk right into. You can self-serve yourself for chips, drinks, and the various spice levels for the salsa. I say spice because they are all hot. Nothing is watered down, so be prepared for a flaming experience. I come here often and it's always great service and the restaurant is very clean. The mushroom tacos are good. They can use a bit more on the portion department but they are good. The amount of salsas that you have at your disposal is great. They have some aguas frescas which I wish I had tasted. It has good sitting and the service is friendly and gives good recommendations. Even got some potato recommendations when picking one for a papa asada. If my family or friends come here and invite me I wouldn't fight it or decline it. Possible the worst chain restaurant in El Paso, my wife and I tried to have dinner at this nasty/dirty restaurant last night 5/2/2023 at 645pm. WE wer shocked how dirty the floors tables, bathrooms, tables, and rude ass service like they were doing us a favor.... So mind you we can go on a Tuesday to Victoria's and Have massive $1.50 tacos, which are at best $5.35 each at dirty nasty taco tote. Now my wife and I ordered. we paid and we left afte receiving our food because of how nast/dirty the place was, from the floors up...There was no adult supervision, and the guy at the cash register could not make change for a fifty dollar bill for a 29.50 bill without getting help from two other members. This place is normally 5 stars. Food is good quality, portions are generous and the chips and salsa bar are phenomenal. As they've reopened with Covid, the draw has been quite diminished with the spaced out seating and the VERY limited selection of salsas and chips (They don't have my favorite jalapeño salsa available). The draw and luster that were once there are not quite what it used to be so that's my explanation for the 3 stars. The entire staff had masks on, the restaurant was clean, hand sanitizer was available and they were friendly but the up and down, walking to the counter whenever you need to ask for additional tortillas, salsa or napkins made it feel unwelcoming. I'll be back once restrictions are lifted and we can get back to normal but for now, I'll stay away from dining in. When I do, I'll update my review and no doubt turn it into 5 stars. Suggestions for the management? Maybe have your staff check in on people for more of a "dine in experience" (I mean you're at like 30-50% capacity it wouldn't be too difficult and maybe people would leave tips for the extra level of service) so that people don't have to deal with the up, down, up, down with limited options. read more

I'm a big fan of the Taco Tote chain and this new location outside the Outlets is great! If you're new to the chain, it's mostly tacos (in case the name didn't give it away) in a fast casual type restaurant. It'll take longer than fast food, but you still order at the counter. There's a salsa bar for free chips and salsa while you wait for your food. I like the pork or chicken adobado tacos most. Add the charo beans in the Taco Tote pack, and I always grab a horchata too. The tortillas are grilled and the meat has a good flavoring to it. You can choose from a number of salsas too, and the guacamole salsa is what I usually get. Since it's new, everything is nice and clean with that new feel to it inside. This location also has a drive thru, which is nice if you're just passing by and want a quick stop off the freeway or before/after some shopping at the outlets. read more

We opened the family pack,I must say it was the smallest portion of steak we have ever had from Tacotote! Very, Very disappointed to say. If companies like Tacotote are going to treat there customers this way. We are going to stop order from local businesses. The big box companies know how to keep their customers because they are consistent with the food portions, services and taste. A couple of months ago I had to call the health department. The Employees put what looks like a plastic screw in my food & when I went back to complain in tears. They were laughing & Dancing. As a Transgender Person, I should be able to eat anywhere just like anyone else. All of this happened when the Coronavirus Situation began. I remember when this place was good, by the outlet mall, not anymore. Tacos used to be stuffed with big portions of meat that were seasoned well. The tacos i got today, 10/14/23, had maybe a third of the meat of what they used to put. The meat was dry and the tortillas were burnt. This is exactly what happens when the employees don't care and apparently the management here doesn't care either. Normally you can't go wrong with the Tote but since COVID situation, they haven't figured out how to perfect to go orders. I've visited the restaurants 4 times since and each time is worse than the last. I ordered online expecting all the sauces and extras I requested. That clearly wasn't the case. We ended up getting only 2 types of sauce. Party of 6 and 1 they included the smallest bag of tostadas possible. I hate to complain about small stuff buy as I stated, every visit gets worse. It's pricey for what you're getting but the big draw for us was the chips and awesome salsa bar. Note that it's gone, we have decided not to return. They should be able to provide better service all around since occupancy is limited. We will find a different spot to get our taco fix. read more

I do appreciate their drive thru during these times - unfortunately while waiting for the food at the window not only did I notice several employees without gloves & handling food but another several not wearing their masks properly & one employee not wearing a mask at all. Said employee was walking around the kitchen & the food & talking to other employees, again, with no mask. Under normal circumstances not wearing gloves while handling food docks you some points on a health inspection, so not wearing gloves or masks (properly or at all) during a pandemic?
