Steak tacos and Al Pastor Tacos
    Travis J.

This restaurant impressed so much! When two cuisines are a part of the restaurants, one usually is better than the other. However the Italian and Mexican works great here! The Al Pastor Pizza has so much flavor and soft crust. The tacos shells hold on strong, and the birria tacos stole the show with the consume! The wings were pretty good, and the chicken parm tasted great! The service here was on point, and friendly, and I'd return to try more of the menu! Don't over the desserts!

What an interesting concept but it works. The salsa has a little kick but not too much. The pizza birria- holy cow. So yummy- perfect crust and it comes with the consommé. Get it !!! The burritos were packed with protein and tasted amazing - mine was not hot , it was actually kind of cold so I unfortunately took one star from my review. But I can tell you my son will be back - he lives in Orlando and I would def go back as well. Overall great meal and friendly staff.

I checked out Tacos vs Pizza last weekend with some friends and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We ordered a mix of favorites to share. The Asada Fries, Birria Pizza, Tacos Gobernador, Chicken Quesadilla Deluxe, and the 3-piece Steak Tacos entrée and every single dish delivered. The Asada Fries and Birria Pizza were the clear standouts for us. Creative and packed with flavor. To top it off, we ended with the churros and fried cheesecake burrito, which were the perfect sweet finish (definitely a must). Overall, such a fun spot with great food and variety! We'll 100% be back.

I feel bad that I wasn't able to take a photo of the taco salad I had with my wife because not only was I so hungry but I was also enjoying the atmosphere of the food and the management of this awesome hidden gem on semoran Blvd., Vicky the manager is a very nice, genuine person. Please come and ask for her when you come to order food here she is very nice and she loves honest and sincere people. trust me "you will not regret coming to order food here" The Mexican food here is awesome at a fraction of the price that you would pay at other Mexican restaurants

Al Pastor Chimichanga was awesome. Great presentation!

Ali vs Frazier! Yankees vs Red Sox! Steelers vs. Ravens! Tiger Woods vs. a Tree! And now, Tacos Vs Pizza! A battle so epic some genius named their restaurant after it! This is a pretty new (as of summer 2025) restaurant on Semoran and showed up when I typed "Tacos" into my web enabled cordless telephone road atlas program an voila, this place! I thought it might be a counter service place, but it's a sit-down and order off a menu type of place. The staff was friendly and welcoming and I needed a few minutes to decide as there were a lot of choices. I decided on the Tex-Mex Chimichanga with Al Pastor as it combined 3 of my favorites... Delicious Al Pastor with Pineapple, That Fried Flour Tortilla shell, and sitting down! One "complaint" is that the chimichanga could have had some crispiness. That's the whole reason for frying it! This thing was stuffed full of meat, like a #@!@# by a #$@#@ @$#$)@ in a #$@%$ @&$%^ subway car. I was surprised there wasn't "filler" material like beans/rice/etc. Totally worth the money. And that presentation with the pico de Gallo, sour cream, and guacamole set up like the Mexican flag (minus the snake). The beans were delicious and there was a LOT of rice, which was good. All in all, I'd say 4.5 stars but rounding up to 5. I'll be back and will proabably try a torta or just some tacos next time. And I'll have to try the pizza too in order to declare a winner!

this place is something SERIOUS!!! a 1 of 1 concept. executing on fusion food is always an additional challenge to an already packed food industry. let me tell you, Tacos vs Pizza knocks it out of the park. i brought my family here because a friend told me about how his hidden gem he wanted me to try. we just had to sample everything! i'll start by saying this.. the owner, vicki was so sweet! talked to us a lot & told us her story. i also couldn't stop talking about their crust, perfectly baked & buttered. they said they're going to add garlic to it soon... i'm telling you. their dough, their crust. insane!!!! got 2 pies. 5 cheese bianca. baked potato. that potato was difffffeerrreeeennnnntttttttt. never see something like that before & it was perfectly prepared. we also had a BIRRIA CALZONE...??? excuse me WHAT? it was just as delicious as you think it would be. secret menu item btw. we got a few secret items. we learned they had wings.. so we got em. super cwithpy & got 2 secret sauces.... we can't spoil the fun for you lol we started with a queso fundido. i enjoyed it and was happy the cheese didn't dry and get hard. there are so many other menu items i need to come back and try. but as of now.. i loved my experience!!! highly recommend giving them a visit. you won't regret :) kindly, GTB

Ok, I get the hype. But maybe for different reasons. The dough, the dough for the pizza and the canzone is light and airy. Making both items not heavy and ready. This really let's the toppings be the star of the show. But I wpuld definitely eat the dough alone, it's buttery. All in all delicious. The tortillas are also super light and a great mouth feel. The asada fries are decadent and a delicious mess of meat, cheese, fresh tomatoes, and guacamole. They serve bottled beer and homemade horchata which my son, who orders it everywhere that makes it homemade, said it was delicious. It was spiced well, good amount of cinnamon, and the perfect consistency of creaminess. The chicken, bacon canzone was top notch. Our server was very attentive.

This was my first time eating at this establishment after seeing videos and post about it. The restaurant it's self is small but has plenty of space were you are not feeling like a sardine in a can, the choice of food is either Mexican or Italian mostly the Italian choices are pizza with your original pizza and then you can choose from birria,Al pastor and other kinds like cheese, pepperoni or supreme. I had the Mexican salad and it comes in a large taco shell with guacamole, beans sour cream and your choice of grilled chicken or shredded chicken(warning:grilled chicken cost extra). The salad was delicious and it filled me up. They also make their own fresh agua de horchata and they have different types of Mexican food and drinks including tacos and Jarritos. The atmosphere inside is nice with some paintings on the wall and of course the virgin Mary of Guadalupe im the corner, the service was good and the lady that served us was very patient waiting for us to see what we wanted to order and checking on us. I will definitely come back and try this place and I recommend, the only reason I gave it less stars was that the lady didn't tell me it was almost a $4.00 up charge just for getting grilled chicken on my salad. When we arrived it was later in the night and there was no wait, they are open most nights till 10pm and this business is tucked in amongst others on 436 right before colonial.

My son loves pizza and I love tacos, so imagine my surprise when I saw the name of this restaurant and realized we both will be able to order what we want. Granted, it certainly is more Mexican themed, but it delivers on offering both dishes, which is all I needed. My son said his pizza was a 6/10 (this is the method he uses to rate his pizza), and I will say the birria tacos were a solid 10. Delicious. Service (a delightful woman) was attentive throughout.

Hmmm... what am I in the mood for? Do I want tacos ? Or do I want pizza ? Or do I want both ?! Did I get both ? No.... But I could have!! I do love the concept of having Italian and Mexican food in one place and Tacos vs Pizza offers both. Mexican food was calling our names so we went with that. Sorry Italy. Now that I recall, we didn't get tacos either. Oh well!! We got chimichanga Cozumel and al pastor quesadillas. The chimichangas were stuffed with shrimp and came with a side of rice, beans and salad. I loved the ooey gooeyness of the creamy sauce. The crispiness of the tortillas of the quesadillas were perfect. Service here is quick and our waitress was friendly. We'll come back again for sure. Next time to try the Italian menu.

My mom saw this on TikTok & she really wanted to go & so we made the trip from ocala to taco vs pizza. It's a pretty cool concept of both Mexican & Italian food. I don't usually like to try new foods places in fear that I won't like it & have wasted my money but this was definitely worth it! The food was amazing in both appearances & taste. We had their horchata drink & it had to be amongst the best horchatas I've ever had. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was that the horchatas didn't have refills but even then they still deserve a 5 star. Great place to eat in the Orlando area. A bit far fr the theme parks.

Disclaimer: this review is for the lunch buffet only…read more I went with my family to try the $18.49 all you can eat lunch buffet. This was my first time experiencing a buffet for hispanic food and for this price point in Orlando, this is an amazing value deal. The server regularly brought us out silverware, napkins, and refilled our water. The place is decorated very fun and plays latin music which was lovely Not only was there an unlimited assortment of lunch foods, but an entire bar of fresh toppings for tacos (or rice bowls) and made to order desserts which were included for free! Not everything on the buffet line was the best but given the amount of options, price, and how good the great items are this is still worth a five star rating. I unfortunately did not take pictures of the food before I began devouring everything in sight to the point of near-collapse, but I will do a quick rundown of the buffet highlights: The best meats were the fajita steak, chicken, and shrimp made fresh in cast iron skillets, as well as the chicken lengua which was super flavorful and tender. The mexican rice, beans, fajitas, plantains, and street corn were also excellent. Fresh quesadillas, chips, and corn tortillas on standby with homemade queso and salsas. The flan and mini churros were the best I've ever had. Super rich, decadent Carmel flan. Mini churros hot and crisp on the outside, filled with a gooey soft milk chocolate center. They were delicious. Items that were disappointing: the tamales, mini chicken flautas, and beef chimichangas were just okay, lacking the seasoning and flavor that other dishes had. The beef barbacoa was not as tender or flavorful as the shredded chicken surprisingly. The mixed seafood was itself a mixed bag with some shrimps / scallops overcooked to much while others were perfectly cooked. The chicken mole and beef tri tip were room temperature despite sitting on hot plates. The tri tip also varied widely in doneness throughout the slices and not super tender. The rice pudding was pretty standard, and the tres leches cake was weird as they crumbled the cake into pieces before soaking it.

However, I would recommend leaving some extra time because my experience has varied in terms of speed of service. Make sure you know what you want to order if you're going to a show and be ready. I love when Cinco De Mayo comes each year - tacos and tequila are two of my favorite things!…read moreHowever, one thing I do not love is long wait times for seating. This year I told my honey the only way I would go out was if we found a place that excepted reservations. In return, I accepted that it was most likely not going to be an extraordinary, authentic, or a gem of a place. My first experience at Solita turned out to be what I manifested. Upon entering the restaurant, vibes were in full effect. No mariachi band as I would have hoped, but the but the energy in the room was happy and festive. They had a DJ providing music, but it was so loud that when our waitress read us their specials, I literally told her I could not hear her. She did greet us with salsas, chips, and these little wheels I read a lot about. They had a similar texture to a chicharron and were simply delightful! Probably my favorite component I sampled all night. Since I had never been to Solita, I checked out Yelp to do my research. One thing I was excited to try was their "Duckie Frozé". It had Rosé, fruit purée, frozen margarita with your choice of flavor: watermelon, pomegranate, or guava. Adorning the top of the drink was a darling little rubber duckie. There are TONS of pictures of this drink on Yelp. Much to my surprise, my drink arrived with NO DUCK. When I asked the waitress about it, she shrugged it off said they "don't do that anymore". It may sound like a small thing to be disappointed about, but really that was just the start. Luckily, Cinco was on Tuesday this year, so we were able to order from the "Taco & Tequila Tuesday" discounted menu. We started off with the Grilled Corn Elote which is served tableside. I thought this would be cool, but it wasn't. It was a bit painful watching the waitress struggle to shave the corn off. I almost wanted to offer help! After all that, the corn was just ok. I personally think the Elote I make at home is better. Thankfully this was on the Tuesday Menu also making it only $5. While perusing their selections prior to going, I felt that their taco prices were a bit steep. They have two types of taco sizes. The Street Tacos looked itty bitty with next to nothing on them. They do have a lot of flavor choices (11), and you get 3-4 tacos for about $20. Glad I saw photos of these on Yelp beforehand. Then they have Tacos Locos. They are described as "One large taco" when in fact they are just regular sized tacos overflowing in toppings. Just ONE Tacos Locos costs about $15! I think the pricing is loco, and based off what we'd tried so far, I was certain to only order from the Tuesday menu. We were able to get a Shrimp Chicharron for $6 and a Vampiro (Chicken or Carnitas) for $8. The shrimp one was appetizing. I even remember thinking after the first few bites that I should have just gotten two of those. Then I tried a piece of chicken from my Vampiro. It was a piece of straight fat that I immediately spit out. That pretty much killed it for me, and I didn't even eat anymore of the Vampiro or anything else for that matter. The positives of the evening included: -Getting into a spot to celebrate on Cinco De Mayo -The food came out quicker than expected based on the reviews -Trying a new restaurant and learning that it's nowhere I will be returning to or recommending. Knowledge is power.

I believe they have several locations in the area, and this is a newer one with very welcoming and modern interiors. They have wonderful daily specials and various happy hour periods that extend from 2 to 10 PM, including $3 tacos from 8 until 10 PM. Meals start off with complimentary chips and salsa (4.5/5), which are happily refilled upon request. We tried a variety of tacos (5/5) which were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The vegetarian San Jose's fajita bowl (4.5/5) was tasty and served in a generous portion that is ideal for sharing. The cheese quesadilla (5/5) hit all the fresh flavor notes without the cheese being too sharp in taste. The churros (5/5) were the perfect dessert, having a slightly crunchy exterior and softer core as you bit into it. We loved the food and atmosphere so much that we visited twice the same week while visiting the Orlando area.
